+2 Padme's medical care demonstrating that the greatest danger of AI is it's stupidity and incompetence, not it's skill

-2 I have no problem with cgi Jabba. It’s like that time we got that naff tattoo of the Tasman Devil on our left arse cheek when we were 16 that looks like a drunken squirrel standing in a puddle of its own piss.

    It brings back happy memories.

    I imagine.

The later versions look fine. Even the acting gets better.

While the model certainly looks closer to the original puppet, the render itself is much more out of place in terms of coloration in the scene, making it stand out.

The '97, while clearly more primitive in design, seemed closer to matching the lighting and color of the filmed sequence, so it blends and is not jarring to the eye.

So while Jabba may look "better", the scene does not really improve.

It's not the worst thing ever.

But it doesn't get a pass either.

The film was fine when Jabba was a name drop and the whole plot point was covered by Greedo.

Now, it's basically the same scene twice. Han is confronted, and Han gets away.

    Sprinkle gratuitous Boba Fett cameo.

It was fan service then and now.

My childish innocence knows Han fired first too.

Repetition is used to strengthen the theme. Han's multiple pursuers highlight just how much pressure he is under, and how dangerous a prospect it is for Luke to trust him. The first confrontation is physical, the second with Jabba is mental. This shows you the versatility of his character as well. I would say that, if anything, this strengthens the presentation of the film. If anything, we need more insertions of Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars films.

    No, she saw episode 11.

It’s going to make then Sequel Trilogy look like Return of the Jedi.

    WRONG.

But you never saw the MaClunky Cut to know all of that was fixed.

So let me take back my opening statement and say ‘You were correct but the MaClunky cut returns the color grading back to what the theatrical cuts looked like and removes your complaint about the color grading on Jabba in A New Hope standing out.

Im sure someone will disagree with me so let me precentatively say that’s your own bias getting in the way and you would be wrong.

Would you believe there are individuals who think the color grading for the 2004 and 2011 versions of the movies not only look better but are more correct.

The 2019 versions get the color grading much closer to what we saw in theatrically screened film prints and any home video version before 2004.

Im pretty sure Wocky and Peter Pan both die if this goes to zero. Are you sure want to enter this into the game?

Tinker Bell will be crushed if she doesn’t have Wocky around to play checkers with.
