Star Wars logo blows up in to Empire Logo?

My brother and I swear that on opening night of ESB, back in May that the title Star Wars appears and then blow up and then the ESB title appeared. Any other old timers recall this? I know the trailer had the title blowing up and Vader's head appearing but I swear that just on the opening night (or week) the title Star Wars blow up and it said ESB. Could we both be wrong?

 

You really shouldn't watch films while under the influence.

 

Are you thinking of one of the trailers, maybe? I think the ESB SE trailer had something like that.

 

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall a trailer like that.

 

I wouldn't have any idea...i was born 6 years after empire came out.

 

My memory, although often faulty, is solid on this fact: nothing of the sort happened.

Possibly a trailer, certainly not a part of the film.

Perhaps you're confusing the ESB memory with the opening sequence of another movie?
