Just a Q on this game from a newbie, has anyone found training Jedi/Dark Siders in the Force to be in any way useful?

I know it is cool and everything. But IMO, it is more productive to build about 20 Espionage Droids and plonk them in a group rather than have a Force-guy hanging around to counter espionage attempts and the like.

    Thanks,

    Tayschrenn

I would like to play against a real opponant, because the AI is dirt dumb in that game.

I have said it before, the game needs the be rebuilt form scratch and just risin to a higher standerd.

A little off subject, but has anybody tried the Star Wars mod for Star Trek Armada. Its pretty cool, they have nearly all the ships. I eagerly await a Rebellion 2, or related product. I love the funny moments Rebellion produces. For example the classic moment when Garindan( of all the people!) gains some Force Sensitivity and Vader begins training him, too funny [face_laugh] I would like some more info on that Star Wars mod for Homeworld, anybody using that mod?

The Star Wars mods for Homeworld are better, you get more control and they have true 3D strategy.

Sir Lancelot, could you kindly provide a link to the DL site for that SW mod for Homeworld? I would really like to give it a try!

then go to the homeworld link and they have some good mod listings there.

Ah Star Wars Rebellion, great game, after reading this thread I dug it out again, hadn't played it for a year or so. Fun game, but definetly has its drawbacks. The more new games I play, the worse the space combat graphics look. Does anyone know if or when there will be a program that changes the ship models in the combat screen? I love rebed, but just having different stats and pictures doesn't mean much when the ships still look the same. Once that's possible I'd like to see a few good mods for the prequel movies, eu stuff, and just to fix basic things like the fact that it takes WAY too many fighters to take down capital ships, anyone who's played the x-wing & tie fighter games can attest to this. Now I'll head back to the game I started and try to makeup for the bad start I had getting used to the game again, and if anyone wants to play me online sometime, let me know.

I was playing it today and I had a Jedi Knight Wedge try and abduct Darth Vader. Vader ended up killing him and the hours and hours of training down the drain :(
A way I found of gaining combat and espipange experience easily was to blockade a plent with a large fleet and operating from the fleet, you can bombard the planet to get rid of troops and then sabotage the facilities (unless you want to keep them), or you can sabotage the troops on the planet one by one. If they get captured, the fleet blockading can assault planet and come to the rescue :)
