    Watched this episode!

    * Love the Star Tours references!
    * Chopper's like an annoying little brother to Ezra! And the banter between the crew members is great; I love every single one of them!
    * Sabine as the translator? Love it!
    * Zeb whooped those stormtroopers hard!
    * Cikatro Vizago is definitely a poor-man's Hondo. His "if you don't survive...meh!" line was pretty hilarious, but other than that he's far and away inferior to Hondo. Hope he improves.
    * The battle was great.
    * As was the Kallus/Zeb duel.
    * I'm almost glad that Kallus defeated Zeb, because it means they're serious when they don't want their villains to be Saturday-morning cartoon villains.
    * Bail's appearance at the end is awesome.

This has just whet my appetite for the rest of the show! =D=

Yeah, seeing Bail was pretty great. I especially loved that Jedi wisdom he used. Kanan looked pretty surprised.

I think this show is going to be awesome because it has enough of a clone wars and OT feel to be a master piece.

    Watched it:

Oh, Kallus... you so evil and hammy. I love it.
Hera and Kanan are so an old married couple- you know she was going to banish him to the space couch until he started training Ezra.
The title should have been C3PO in Distress, 'cause he is a Damsel in Distress if I ever saw one.
Where was Sabine keeping her helmet on the flight to Garrell?!?

Overall, 8/10. Better than the movie.

Seems like most of the previously shown clips are being used up, totally new material ahoy!

Ironically I actually love it, because it's not like Clone Wars. To me this is like Firefly reborn in the Old Trilogy.

People are comparing it to the Clone Wars, but no one has said that it's better then the complete work of it.

We can't debate pro's and con's of both?
Yeah it is pretty early to say that Rebels will be be better than TCW but we can give impressions.

Thought it was good. Not as good as the Ep's 1-2 but still decent. I'd give it a 7/10

Ho. Lee. ****. Zeb vs. Kallus.

Zeb's rage was incredible, and then Kallus was baiting him to make him flip out even more, and Kallus beat the **** out of him and they were just swinging those things around so fast and holy **** that was an awesome fight.

TheSilentInfluence I think that was less daydreaming and more sulking at being told they had little confidence in him.

So wee, free on iTunes. [face_mischief] I enjoyed it- some good pulpy fun. The re-use of character models is fairly noticable at this point, but I imagine as the show goes on they'll create more and more unique background and one-off characters.

It was interesting seeing R2 and 3PO since at this point in time they are actually imperials, though R2 at least seems to be in on Bail's covert rebel activities.

There were a number of things I loved about this episode, I'll go through them one at a time.
First it was lovely seeing a Star Tours droid piloting the shuttle. I've had personal experience with these droids when flying out of the space port at Disneyland when I was younger and its really refreshing to me to see one that actually KNOWS HOW TO FLY!!!

It was somewhat curious that the imperial delegate didn't know there were any Lasats left in the galaxy and yet she showed no surprise at all when one offered his assistance. Though I suppose it's possible she was distracted. Sabine seems to be quite the language expert too. I'd be interested, genuinely, to know just how many languages she speaks.

Hera's growing on me in a big way. I loved her in the novel and I love her here. In some ways she reminds me of one of the first cartoon characters on TV that I looked up to as a child, which I'm not embarrassed to admit, was The Sorceress of Greyskull from He-Man in the 80s. She was a mom too as well as one of the wisest people in that show. So too is Hera. Ezra and the others may not be her biological children but when it was said she was the maternal one and the glue that holds the rest of them together it really shows here, from her quiet chat with Ezra to her hints of dire consequences if her 'love' doesn't get around to starting Ezra's Jedi training. She's an absolute delight to watch in any setting.

I enjoyed the depictions of Ezra's untrained use of the Force here and it seemed to follow along with the way it was presented in the novel; as something instinctual that shows up at just the right moments whether you asked for it's help or not. I'm very much looking forward to how Kanan approaches Ezras training since he was rather young himself when Order 66 came down and his level of traditional experience is questionable. Still with the Jedi gone, he's likely to approach it with his own gung ho style and that could probe to be quite interesting.

Zeb's fight with Kallus was pretty nice to watch too. Very fast and very intense, and a pleasure to watch. It was good to learn some of his backstory as well and I'll be looking for to more backstory, hopefully, for him and the others as well.

Nice to see Senator Organa again, at least briefly and good to know he's quietly doing his own part in the world of the Empire. it'll be interesting to see if he's impressed with what R2 recorded and may even hire this crew specifically in the future for a job here and there.

As for the droids themselves, watching R2 and Chopper fight it out a few times was pretty funny to watch. As for 3P0. he was amusing to watch but, something just seemed slightly off about him. It was more like I was watching a parody of 3P0 than the actual 3P0. I could be wrong. I'm sure I'll watch it a few more times of course and we'll see if my opinion changes.
Otherwise, all in all, an enjoyable addition to a strong start. Looking forward for more episodes to come.

Just watched. Thanks smudger9 for the tip in the spoiler-free thread. Downloaded it to my iPad tonight.

I'm hooked on this show and need more.

    Pros: most of the episode.

--the Firefly-esque vibe of going to a planet to sell smuggled goods because they need money
--finding out more about Zeb's background. Holy hell. Poor Zeb.
--the Star Tours droid. It's been almost 15 years since my last Disney trip but nice flashback there.
--the droids vs organics humor was great
    --Hera being maternal
--Hera being a real mate to Kanan. Not an "oh this is so romantic and I'm so in love" type mate, but a real mate, one in a relationship that has the potential to actually last.
--Kanan smacking Ezra down when he got whiny
    --Ezra's accidental Force-push
--again, suspense. I thought our crew was in for trouble with the Imperials.
--the Zeb/Kallus fight. Kick him in the cajones and shave the sideburns, Zeb.
--Sabine's linguistics skills. Maybe because I've always been interested in languages myself, I liked it.
--3PO saying Chopper had manners. I laughed out loud.
--the Tantive. Bail Organa seeming to recognize another Rebel cell.

    Cons:

--Ezra, seriously, STFU. If I were Kanan I wouldn't train you until you stopped whining.
--Bail's voice was a bit off.

Nothing that kept me from enjoying the episode or the characters though.

    9/10

I think they blew the budget for the episode on that fight between Zeb and Kallus. That was so cool[\spoiler]
