I knock the show sometimes for having too many filler episodes but they do know how to put together a great midseason trailer. Two years in a row now that they have impressed me. The best thing about the trailer for me: no sign of Iron Squadron. That can only bode good things for the show.

Just so you all know, the color yellow/gold means vengeance in Mandalorian color schemes.

The guy behind Ezra looks like Cassian Andor. Or maybe Lux Bonteri.

Lots of cool imagery that is obviously there for the trailer to get people excited but if it works then why not. The battles are looking pretty well done and epic. Again like Clone Wars the animation has come a long way since the first season.

The power and threat of the Empire is being felt again through Thrawn and what they are throwing at the Rebels (Also a lot of people are saying Yularen is there and I think it could be him. Hope it is him because it'd be neat to hear Tom Kane again since we haven't had him appear in Rebels yet at least not to my knowledge since he didn't voice Yoda). Between this and Rogue One I'm kind of glad the Empire is not being down played under Disney if anything it's been better handled here then in past events.

We get to see the Rebellion truly coming together under Mon Mothma's leadership (I assume that's Kath Soucie again? Or is Genevieve O'Reilly? I'm not sure) and the Rebel Cells coming together. Pryce seems surprised by them coming together at once but Thrawn says this he's been waiting for this so this looks to be the culmination of his big plan. Also I like that he's getting confrontational on the battlefield with him firing a blaster, using what looks to be Death Troopers and even being in good shape to the point he's got biceps to spare (Didn't expect that one. A true combination of strength and brain). Also he knows about the Fulcrum identity. I think it safe to say Kallus is for the chopping board at this point (even an article I read speculated this after it was revealed that Cassian took up the Fulcrum identity. I guess he took over when and if Kallus is killed)

Of course we've got a lot of what we'll probably see in the Geonosis episodes taken up here but some of the other stuff with Sabine and the Dark Saber looks cool. Mandalore seems to be in a pretty stable place given it went through hell. Can't tell if Sabine's mother is someone we're supposed to recognise and who's voicing her (People are saying Rook Kast but we don't get a good closeup to be sure of her face but given Saxon's appearance her transitioning to animation isn't something that's hard to believe).

Also no Bo-Katan it seems yet so curious to see where she falls into this. Sabine fighting Saxon with Ezra's saber against him as he has the Dark Saber brought back memories to the Maul and Vizsla fight (no doubt this is Saxon's last stand and either Sabine kills him, he kills himself or something happens to where he dies or he's captured. Also like the icy setting it felt like Thorin and Azog's last confrontation in the Battle of The Five Armies whether you like that movie or not it's still a neat setting for a final fight). Mandalore in some respects is a lot like the Earth Kingdom it seems now from Avatar seems to be stable but isn't really and hasn't had the best luck with it's government.

Going back to the space fights I like the shot of Hera witnessing a big blaster fire from a planet in the air. The laser colour being green looks like the Death Star firing almost but I know it isn't and also those shots of Ezra in the space suit were neat very much like Season 1 of Clone Wars when Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Anakin had them.

And speaking of Obi-Wan the reveal was kind of obvious because we've been building to it in the Season and also the constant repeating of his message throughout the trailer (which I didn't mind it made for a very ominous opening and the repeated word of "Warning" I get the feeling is no accident. This is the warning possibly for the Rebels that their possible big defeat is near at Thrawn's hands) but it was still a good reveal. Also while having two different voice actors take on the part might seem odd to go from James Arnold Taylor to Stephen Stanton I get why they did it. Stanton does a better Alec Guinness it seems while Arnold Taylor has admited he can do Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan but when he tries to do Alec Guinness it more often then not turns into Ringo Starr so I don't mind the change.

I guess they will continue where they left off I suppose but I'm interested to see what their confrontation will bring now that both men are old and past their prime. Will they still be evident about settling scores or is this a truce? Time will tell I suppose but it looks like it could be the latter but they will fight obviously because Obi-Wan doesn't trust Maul at first. I'm going to guess this is the finale. While Kanan and Ezra will appear more then likely so they can get their answers I kind of want this to almost be like Brothers where none of the main characters appear except for Obi-Wan and Maul but I doubt that'll happen.

I think that's it (knowing me though I forgot something and if I do I'll go back and add what I missed until I can't edit this post anymore) but looks to be a pretty good second half. I don't know what Celebration will bring and I know it's a little too early to speculate that but do you think we'll get something? (I imagine productio for Season 4 has been going on and we just don't know it)

So, Mon Mothma is voiced by the actress who played her in ROTS and R1, right? Sounds like her.
And Stephen Stanton does Old Ben I think.

But I don't know. This season of Rebels has sort of left me cold so far. I really love the first two seasons, but this one - eh, it's alright. This trailer didn't get me that hyped to be honest. I'll continue to watch it of course, but I sure hope the quality increases. And I think it's a bad idea to have Ben appear, honestly. He seems too disconnected to the story of the Rebels characters.
Of course, having both him and Yoda be aware of Kanan and Ezra has to be a sign that they don't live until the OT - or one would think either Yoda or Ben would've mentioned those Jedi to Luke.

Now that you mention it he does look a bit like Lux.

Also her helmet is actually really similar to Rook's. The color scheme just changed.

I don't think that guy is Lux (doesn't even look like him in anyway. Not to me anyway but then again as we've seen with Saw age can change some people). Lux would be more Ahsoka's age at this point this guy looks a little younger. Plus we don't know the status of Lux or Onderon and whether he's with the Rebels, dead or even with the Empire (I doubt it but you never know) which is something I hope the Geonosis episodes with Saw either addresses or at least alludes too. What is the state of Onderon? Are there Rebels there again rebelling against Imperial Occupation? Who's in charge there? Wouldn't hurt to know.

Oh my god, things are really turning up. We're beginning to see the transformation from a network to an alliance aswell as the alliance familiar faces. This trailer got me so excited and I got lots of expectations.

    You're in the wrong place..
