Mandalore is Imperial controlled, is it not? Not to mention that it's already a barren wasteland anyways, not sure what more you'd accomplish with a barrage like that.

I was thinking it was heavily influenced by these classic Clone Wars designs:

I specifically specified the novel Starkiller - I fail to see what's unrealistic about him in Star Wars terms. My beef with Sabine is she's basically a teenager who defeats trained Imperial troops and escapes near-death scenarios with ease.
I recognize that they can paint their armor a different color. Hers' just comes off as too much for me. My problem with the Darksaber is, she isn't worthy of it right now - she did not defeat Maul in combat. Pre Vizsla himself acknowledged Maul's right to lead the Mandalorians before his death - "As you said, only the strongest shall rule Mandalore."

^^^ Soooo what's going on here?

    ^^^ Awesome! :D

Does that mean Trials of the Darksaber and Legacy of Mandalore will be back-to-back on the timeline? I wish this show had more two-parters. Trilogies would be welcome, too.

It's not like Imperial Troops are anything special. Death Troopers? Sure. They are a little better, but your forgetting something. The Empire's training doesn't compare to what Mandalorians are taught in terms of physical fighting. It's more rigorous for Mandalorians. And Sabine was sent to an academy that did things differently. When she said it was a nightmare I don't doubt it was. Who knows what they want to turn Mandalorians into. They can't all be supercommandos.

But will become worthy of it. It's why she's training and getting Mandalorians on her side. You saw in the trailer that she fights Gar Saxon. If she can train up enough with Kanan and the other Mandos I don't doubt Sabine will beat him. But the thing is, there doing these episodes to help Sabine grow as a character. Much like Ezra did in the last two seasons.

Also please tag future episode descriptions for episodes that have yet to air everyone.

The annoying thing to me about Sabine is that while she is totally capable of utterly schooling the likes of Rau, Saxxon and Pryce, shes still utterly useless against the Inquisitors. Like, I'm not expecting her to be Cad Bane, but come-on, the most capable non-force user in the show should be doing better than this against barely-trained sith wannabes.

Does anyone know the name of the music used in the trailer when Sabine uses that whip to grab the Darksaber. I know i've heard it before, but don't know the name.

I think I have figured out the long term plan for a few elements in rebels. Note: I don't actually assume I'm right, this is just fun speculation for me.

A few points weren't lining up for me.

    1) Thrawn. Part of Thrawn's charm in the books was that he was the underdog. I didn't get how the show could do him justice, with him being in charge of the empires military and the rebels not even being an alliance. Having Thrawn just fail against the ghost crew seemed to slap the character in the face.

    2) What are the Mando's up to in the galactic civil war and why is Sabine's starbird the symbol for the alliance?

    3) Filoni has said the rebels can't have a "major victory" until Scarif due to the opening crawl of ANH. How will the show limp along without rebels getting a major victory?

I think, that before the formation of the Rebel alliance, Sabine will help unite Mandalor against the empire. An entire planet of warriors that aren't part of the rebel alliance can have major victories against the empire. They will ultimately be completely and utter crushed by Thrawn's brilliant tactics.

The defeat of Mandalor will galvanize all the rebel cells to finally join together. They will be inspired by what was accomplished and use a modified version of Sabine's starbird as their banner.

I am not sure where you got that from. It's Star Wars. Maul is alive. Always knew he'd go after Obi-Wan some day. Filoni said it would happen. What would make you think anything is off limits? It's all fair game except maybe what species Yoda is.

"Infuriating"? I beg to differ sir.

it's Star Wars REBELS. If Ezra and Kanan are involved, then it's fair game. Otherwise, it's just an anthology from the same time period which the show did not need to depict. It's basically filler to Rebels if Maul's fate is undecided at the end. The only way Maul is relevant to the show right now is his interest in Ezra. That's literally it. He wants nothing to do with the Rebellion. His quest for Obi Wan is personal, and shouldve been covered in different media if Ezra is not involved.
Not that i'm "infuriated" at the idea, I just used that word because of what I quoted previously to convey my worries.

Saw the trailer the other day and yep, it was really good and showcased a lot of stuff I look forward too (such as Sabine's mother, the return of the darktroopers and the tie-ins with Rogue One, but especially old Ben and his confrontation with Maul), but I must say that it was released pretty late as the season is about to continue just about a day away .

But Ezra and Chooper are seen on Tatooine in the trailer, so Ezra is involved I don't get what you're throwing a fit about [face_dunno]

Oh this old false argument ''Maul has taken his revenge already, he killed Satine. He doesn't care about Obi-Wan anymore''
I'll use this old post from the Darth Maul thread to prove you wrong

Does anyone know why there's going to be a four week break in between Trials of the Darksaber and Legacy of Mandalore?

Funny thing I noticed about Sabine's Mom and her armor; it's customized in construction and heavily decorated, just like Sabine's, though quite a bit more restrained. Like mother, like daughter?

    A fear of commitment.

    To an arc, I mean.

You accomplish the total annihilation of life. If Sabine could convince the majority of Mandalores population which is only 4 million then that would be to much of an advantage and I would rather see the Empire BDZ it and have a few surviving clans on Concordia or wherever be the sole survivors.

Didn't you get the memo that Vader didn't want them killed? If the empire truly wanted to, they could have ended that trio, they let them escape so they could track them to Endor.

So I wouldn't compare that to Sabine constantly escaping from the Empire.

First of all "Through Imperial Eyes"?????? Are we finally getting the Kallus-backstory focused episode that we've been dreaming of for two and a half Seasons!!!??? So HYPED!!!

Second of all, does anyone else realize that after February 25th there will only be five episodes left in the season. Leaving aside one episode for Maul vs. Obi-Wan and another for Mandalore (Katie Sackhoff is supposed to be in 3 episodes as Bo-Katan so unless she shows up later with the Rebel fleet I'm expecting one more Mandalorian episode), and taking into account the fact that Sabine and Kanan's training sequence is clearly set on Attolan at night, that means that there are only three other episodes left in the season. Does anyone else get the feeling that, rather than Obi-Wan vs. Maul being the last episode, the season will end with an epic 3-part season finale covering Thrawn's brutal attack on the rebel fleet and the official formation of the alliance?

Yeah except the big difference here is while these three got three movies of them mostly taking on the Empire, the cast of Rebels has had 2 and 1/2 seasons of them running. Do you seriously want them to kill off everyone at once? What kind of story is that?

The real problem here isn't that Dave and co are bad writers, it's that people think too much into it. They're developing their characters and giving them story so that when they do take on the Empire there is stuff at stake.

I really don't get what people don't understand about this. There isn't really much they can do about them having to run from the Empire a lot, it's really what the Rebellion did up until A New Hope. To complain that they always escape bugs me because there isn't really an alternative route for them to go without making the Empire too OP.

I'm sure we'll see the Rebels take some losses eventually, but it has to mean something to us first. Killing off underdeveloped characters to satisfy the bloodthirsty fans really doesn't add anything to the story.
