Full Series Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

Yeah, I know. Its going to be a long three months or so.

What are we expecting of Thrawn in the series exactly? His interest in art? His strategical savvy? His habit of going undercover as a Mandalorian bounty hunter?

They don't have a vendetta against Rebels, rumors and leaks are just their biggest money maker.

I want Hondo and Maul to meet again. That should be fun.

Filoni trolls everyone with everything. Seriously that video is just one long troll! "I'm so shocked!" indeed!

 

Outrage tends to follow no matter what Rebels does. Lol.

 

Maul losing his footing to Kanan? Ruined Star Wars.
Vader not instantly dismembering the Ghost Crew when he encounters them? Ruined Star Wars.
A Mandalorian with a passion for art? Ruined Star Wars.
Vader with eyebrows? Ruined Star Wars.
Thin lightsabers? Ruined Star Wars.

Hah, I could go on.

Tactical and strategic abilities. Dave Filoni stated in a recent interview:



There’s this idea that I like where Tarkin says to Vader, “You are all that’s left of that ancient religion. The Jedi’s Fire has gone out in the galaxy,” basically. I think that’s true for the Dark Side of the Force, too. You get this feeling in A New Hope that there’s this technological achievement going on. The Empire is becoming this mechanized menace, and that while the Emperor and Vader control the Dark Side and use it to manipulate things, a lot of what’s evil about this Empire is the lack of faith and belief in the Force. I think a lot of that falls through with Inquisitors. hey have their place, but as they’re not needed anymore – as the fire of the Jedi goes out in the galaxy – it’s not like the Emperor would even want all these witches and wizards running around his kingdom.

It sounds like they're planning to make the Imperial Army and Navy the main threat to the Crew. Also the MSW said their sources told them we’re going to see Thrawn as the tactical genius of capital starship warfare he was to Expanded Universe readers in the ’90s. Speaking of which, you know how Thrawn loved those Interdictors.....

I really hope Thrawn will be in season 3. He's one of my alltime favorite EU characters. I also wouldn't mind if Rae Sloane finally appears on the show. We haven't seen any female Imperials yet (talking about real military personel here. Not, politicians like Maketh Tua or 7th Sister Inquisitor)

 

When it comes to Ezra and Sabine I hold out hope for the pathetic loser.

Sabine deserves MUCH better than a dork like Ezra.

FWIW, I have no issue with the Sabine/Ezra ship but I think him heading down a dark path will put the brakes on that pretty hard.

 

I prefer it over Ezra, for sure. But I mean..at the same time...Ketsu abandoned Sabine and left her for dead. Sabine may have seemingly forgiven her, but...

 

Oh geez. The notion of a love triangle between Ezra, Sabine, and Ketsu?

She did help out the Rebellion in the Forgotten Droid though. But yeah, I see your point.

Put the breaks on what? They don't have anything going on so far. Honestly they don't even have much of a friendship, I would like to see their relationship develop next season.

 

It actually developing into a romance.

 

I find it hard to believe that this will be their last season, I mean by the time Season 3 ends, there will still be 2 years before Rogue One/ANH
