Unlikely. Given how bloodthirsty Tarkin and the Senate was about the Temple Bombing, it’s very likely that Barriss was executed.
Just a Force Sensitive imposter surgically altered to resemble Barriss Offee from a cult of Force Sensitive individuals who wanted the Jedi out of the war by any means necessary.
Barris unhappy with the Jedi joined the Fallanassi in secret and someone else used the opportunity to impersonate her for a bombing? Sweet! So it could be Barris with the Fallanassi that in Episode IX had the people fleet look larger than it actually was, going by @Thrawn McEwok 's idea!
I wouldn't take anything Noah Outlaw says too seriously, yesterday he and Corey hyped up many of their followers with the claim the would get a Mando trailer during NBA. When this didn't pan out he proceeded to blame Lucasfilm's marketing department and LRM who originally said we would get the trailer (even tho he stated that his sources had heard the exact same thing and he was hyping up people even more than LRM?) This has happened before, he and Corey said that we would get Kenobi news at the latest earnings call which was also incorrect. Yes they leaked the bad batch but 1 correct leaks among the dozens they've tossed out since doesn't mean much.
Whether they’re outright wrong or there’s been some kind of miscommunication and they’ve conflated different things with a supposed Rebels Sequel, each month that goes by without an official announcement makes it seem like they’re more than likely incorrect about it.
Clearly, Barriss is in Lusankya. One way all this would work is if they go out for actual reality-warping being a thing. - The Imperial Ewok
Reality warping is a thing, been that since the old classic Marvels and never going away.. but nobody would ever admit it. It's like the Fight Club, nobody talks about it but it exists. If you talk about it, you end up dead as per reality warping timetraveller killsquad before you even finished the sentence. Just look at what happened to Jacen Solo who noticed some weird godly beings calling themselves authors did some retcons all over the timeline. Boom, he was dead. With some temporal Genoharadan at work, I wonder if the new Jedi should put up some temporal directives for their Forceusers and evolve into Jedi that less meddle in worldy affairs and more so become Forceusing Timecops... much to the chagrin of facepalming Aiing-Ti of course. Maybe there is an entire conspiracy that covers up temporal alterations via retcons by releasing secretly some tiny Killiks to ease the questioning minds via short-term joinership unnoticed secretly, meddling with their vague history revisionism to cover up retcons.
Maybe it will be live action instead of animated. This rumor of Sabine with an already Ahsoka live action and Thrawn will be one and most likley Ezra.
It's going to really bring me down when they round out the hanging threads of Rebels with a version of Ahsoka that does absolutely nothing for me and is played by someone whose court case will hang over it for me instead of the animated one I love, but I've resigned myself to that's where it's heading at this point. The most I'll hope for is a better-cast live action Sabine that better evokes the character for me, Mikkelsen as Thrawn, and an appearance in whatever animated shows end up coming out.
There is a certain interesting crossroads in the post-Endor era here when it comes to mediums and such. TCW, BB & REB allowed them to tell these character stories out of chronological order since they were in animated form. And now they are starting to culminate, to at least some degree, in live action shows in this era starting with Mando and possibly moving forward with these rumored spin-off shows. Meanwhile, the ST era itself can't tell the character stories of the Big Three and such out of chronological order in live action due to actor ages and availability, etc. So we have the animated PT/OT shows shifting to live action for the era where the live action content can only turn to animation for expansion (so far as existing OT/ST characters go). More directly, this hand-off of bringing Ahsoka and friends to live action might open the door to bringing Luke and co into animation eventually.
Funny that I just ventured into a rumor thread whose title is now proven to be incorrect and found a bunch of people taking other rumors at face value.
I mean hopefully will find out what's true and not by the end of the year Though again I do think that we are gonna see these characters make a move to live action. I think by elevating some of them we'll be seeing continuation of their stories in said media and the Mandalorian is sorta the center to all this. The Iron Man to a growing Disney + universe. Of course it's always possible that the Rebels Sequel Series is a Prequel to the rumored Ashoka spin-off.
Well a lot of it also depends on when exactly Ashoka is in her own timeline (And Filoni as usual is coi as heck about it) Though I would be shocked if we didn't see a live action Thrawn though in some capacity and another return of Ashoka, especially given some things i've seen on Tumbler. But i would find it funny if the sequel was animated and released around the same time as The Mandalorian there was a "And now the Crossover Episode between Rebels Sequel and Mando Season 3" even on Disney +
Well, previously he knew, for a fact, that the Rebels sequel, was happening, animated and it's first season was already finished and completed by Disney, months ago.
Well regardless....Here is a video of Sherlock that is a big time PLUS for me to why Lars would be great live action Thrawn as well
