I think so. The last we see her in the old continuits is 17 months after Geonosis, but we don't know anything about whether or not she improved or got worse. Also, I think that issue was moved back in the timeline according to your revised version that synthesized the Multimedia Project with TCW, so a lot could have happened between then and the last year of the war. As a reult, I think Shattwepoint can be easily saved if you want to.

 

I love that even during the show break between seasons, we're going to be getting new Kanan Content every month. I have a feeling it'll make the wait for Season 2 slightly more tolerable.

I mean.. we're now up to the point where there are weekly Marvel Star Wars stories being told. Weekly. From this point on, through the release of TFA, there is literally new Star Wars story content every week. And then there's times like this week where it's in overdrive (Rebels TV episode, Heir to the Jedi adult novel, Servants of the Empire #2 junior novel, Princess Leia #1 comic.)

This is fun.

 

There is the whole issue of Depa being up on charges at the end of Shatterpoint. Nothing big, just crimes against civilization.

Have we formed an agreed consensus that suggesting "Kanan's destroying the Inquisitor's saber = shatterpoint!!1!" is a silly idea?

There's a lot more, it's a good read. Filoni's a great interview, apparently, he's real with all of his thoughts on the show, the creative process and the fan reactions.

EDIT: He straight up says this: "Season 1 is like A New Hope. Season 2 becomes more like Empire Strikes Back for our heroes."

Also, the Inquisitor is totally and finally dead, no Darth Maul style resurrection.

Also also, he uses RPG terms when describing Vader: "I’ve said it in interviews - I don’t think our Rebels are a match for him, on any level. Our guys are like level three, maybe they got to level four this season. What’s Vader, like level 80? They’re not even rolling the same number of dice, for God’s sake."

 

Looks like Kiri Hart is an Ahsoka fan. The character won't be going away anytime soon.

If they bring the Inquisitor back we can make a case for Palpatine coming back.

 

Thing is, if he didn't die in the fight with Kanan, he would have been executed by Vader for his failure to stop Kanan's escape. So even if the fall into the reactor and destruction of the Sovereign didn't kill him, Vader would. There'd be literally no purpose to rezing him just to have him get offed again.

Besides, we've yet to see the actual Darth Maul in the show.

 

Or, you know, they might dislike that book for one reason or another. I know the person who wrote that very well: they're the last person to get up in arms about canon.

Seriously, every interview with Dave Filoni reminds me that he is in fact a Star Wars fan and has the same thoughts as we do about stuff like this.

 

Don't take anything DM types in lowercase seriously. Or anything he types period. He's the board's main sarcasm generator unless we're talking Jungian philosophy.

 

Much like Palpatine would've killed Darth Maul if he somehow survived?
