I wish they'd get Serafinowicz back for Maul, though. He has so much range:

I love Witwer's Palpatine but his Maul just doesn't cut the mustard, for me.

Though at this rate I'm expecting a PT SE where Witwer is brought in to dub Maul's lines. Which I'd be okay with.

I want this. I didn't know it until you mentioned it, but now I really, really want this.

 

It's been done before

 

It was not so bad ass being there is only a 5 year difference and its not like Padme liked Anakin like that during TPM.

 

I dunno I always thought that smile at the end was a bit creepy
But no a 5 year age gap isn't that big (Aaron Johnson and Sam TylerJohnson have a bigger one in real life)

Side note: I always thought Lucas should have had Anakin as 15 and Padme as 20/21 for TPM. It would have worked so much better (and been able to use the same actor for the next film) for TPM and it's still the same age gap.

 

Though you still have to love the „yeah kind of but only marginally“ that comes with it.

 

Why have an age gap at all if you're going to make Anakin older? Just have them both in the 15/16 range.

What Lucas cared about, as I understand it, was emphasising the separation of mother and child. He didn't think an older Anakin (he was twelve in the earliest versions of the script, IIRC) sold it effectively. The Anakin/Padme gap was just a by-product of that. I tend to think it was unnecessary. Anakin wasn't just a kid venturing outside the nest for the first time, he was a kid leaving his mum behind to a life of slavery.

 

So the Sith Holocron is most likely used to power up this old Sith Super weapon

 

Funny enough the orginal plan was for him to be a little older then he was in the movie and for her to be his age.

I don't think he's trying to reach her, I saw that more like a vision created by her own guilt over what happened

 

He's Darth Vader. Hard to cast a actor who can portray a 15 year old AND be really tall by the next movie.

I wonder the lightsaber the makers will give Maul. The Darksaber or his own, or both? If he is only going to wield one blade, im not sure which one would suit him best. While the darksaber is cool, I would enjoy seeing a non-Inquisitor Red blade that isn't Vaders in the show.

 

My friend that's where the magic of Hollywood comes in. You hire a slightly older actor to play the 15 year old. Spiderman is going to be a 15 year old who is to be played by a 19yr old Tom Holland.

Why else do you think geek outsiders in school in movies and TV are pretty much models often better looking than the so called cool kids who mock them in those movies !
