Looks more like Aliens than Star Wars

 

I think that the ARC troopers might have been doing some moping up work after the battle. Poggle said that he was sending his troops into the caverns to hide.
Also- look at their helmets, they're not like that of an ARC or Clone Trooper's helmet.

Also, loved the scene where the clone was signaling to the others with two fingers. Love that sort of thing, SWAT team style work.

 

well there armor could be modiefied for that specific mission to filter out harmful chemicals in the catacombs or whatever or to filter out the smell

Actually, they look almost exactly the same as the clonetroopers from AOTC.

If anything, they're 200 times closer looking to the clonetroopers than the stormtroopers.

 

I watched it again and again I still cant find any resemblence to a stormies helmet did you realy watch it or did you see 2nd quest pcitures on page one

 

They're probably just Clonetroopers, Lucasarts would want to appeal to the biggest audience and the majority of people would recognize one, meanwhile an ARC trooper, unless well introduced into the game, would make most people wonder.

The blue could simply mean they're a Commando unit, rather than a regular Clonetrooper squad.

 

Hmm...now I've got to decide whether to get an XBox or to wait for the PC version.

 

Have they stated there will be a difference in release dates?

There's a good chance they'll release simultaneously, or the PC may even be first (like in Jedi Academy)...

 

I havent heard anything on this game for like 5 months, is there anything new going on with it?

 

The lucasarts site still just redirects to the press release. I guess there will be a mini site up for it fairly soon...

But no, I've heard nothing about it for a long time.

 

I've been wanting something like this for a long time, with just troopers, not Jedi.

Not that I don't like KOTOR or Jedi Academy. I'm positively in love with both, but I think this is a nice change.

 

Did they scrap this idea they havent up dated in like a year.

 

No reason to think it's scrapped. It took well over a year for the forst KOTOR screenshots to appear.

I think now that almost all the recent in-development games are out (kotor, SWON, Armed & Dangerous, Gladius etc) that the LEC site will soon update with those being developed (Sam & Max, Republic Commando, Battlefront, Galaxies: Space Expansion).

 

Games looks hot !!! but i have heard nonthing from Lucas Arts. The site has not been updated for ever :{ . The only cool thing in the site right now is the teaser. I can't wait to hear more bout this game.

 

well your gonna have to theres not gonna be any screenshots or press releases for a while.

 

This game really has my interest. If the gameplay is as good as the pics look so far, there is no doubt I will buy this game.

This should be a good game, if done well.

Personally, I hope it has at least the same requirements (minus possibly the hard drive space) as KOTOR. Bring on the eye candy, I say.

 

I guarintee you that date will change into all kinds crazy things.

 

Going by what another site has recently mentioned, it looks as if the game might be getting pushed back to early/mid-autumn; one aspect that was brought up was that some of the content ties directly into Episode III Spoilers Removed and thanks to this, there's a slightly greater...desire...now upon Lucasfilm's part to move it a bit closer to the film's release date.

Again, I'm hoping that this one hits much, much sooner than what these folks are implying, but the workings of LFL are sometimes mysterious like unto the gods...
