They just released the dramatis personae on Paul Kemp's blog. Yet ANOTHER female Sith or Sith companion. Seriously, this is getting really old LFL. I know you like to give your author's freedom, but it now comes across like you simply don't care.

And of course he has to tie it into Jaden Korr with another character with the last name Korr. Lame.

Darth Malgus looks like another Darth Malak, who in turn was a Darth Vader sans upper headpiece, rip-off. Double lame.

Oliver Cromwell is descended from Thomas Cromwell's sister? Lame.

Winston Churchill is descended from John Churchill? Lame.

Those are in my opinion quite different things, because in both occasions the later user of the name had the last name because of the fame it had gotten based on the activities of the former. The previous carrier of the last name was very much alive in the family history and influenced thus indirectly the lives of the later persons you mention.

(Thomas Cromwell's nephew took his uncle's name because his uncle was then a very powerful man and his father's family was anything but that. Winston Churchill's family, the Spencers, took the Churchill name few generations before his birth because their female line ancestor John Churchill was far more famous than any of the Spencers and they owed to him their most glamorous titles.)

On the case of the Korrs there's not a century or two between them, but 3600 years. More likely than not, I think this can be guessed, there is no awareness of the family connection, unlike in the case of the Cromwells and Churchills. It would be simply a co-incidence of last names or a co-incidence of two members of the same family (still with the same name) featuring in Jedi vs Sith -conflict at these two quite different eras. Thus I would not think it then to have the same kind of personal, important meaning than being descended from the Duke of Malborough had for Winston Churchill.

Is it lame? I don't know nor care, and considering the other examples we got in KOTOR, is anything but uncommon for this era. Why would one more matter?

Do we know if anything from the "Deceived " trailer be covered in the novel?

Will there be a comic tie-in? Hope they have an audiobook, but I won't hold my breath.

Also, I take it this is an online only game?

Vong, according to the information released by the official website it looks like the novel should touch upon what we saw in the trailer. This is the page with said information.

Sithlord, The Old Republic will be an online game.

There will be a monthly tie-in comic to TOR, called (you guessed it) Star Wars: The Old Republic.

If you're asking if there will be a comic tie-in to the book, there arguably already is. Threat of Peace, the webcomic that was put online last year (and that will be in print in the first three issues of the aforementioned monthly comic) covered, among other things, the Sacking of Coruscant and the destruction of the Jedi Temple.

Two more questions for everyone though:

1- Do you guys think the book will also feature Vizla (the bounty hunter from Deceived), even though she isn't on the Dramatis Personae?

2- Do you guys think the book will also cover the Battle of Alderaan, as seen in the new Trailer, to be shown at E3 in a couple of days?

Yes to both. Since the new trailer seems to feature a pivotal moment for Malgus, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a major part of the book. A wild shot in the dark - it's the prologue, or opening.

So, I'm guessing the "Core Characters" are Malgus, his Twi'lek sidekick from the Deceived trailer, and the Jedi and main trooper from the Hope trailer.

According to Kemp the core characters are:

Darth Malgus, male human Sith lord.

Eleena Daru, female Twi-lek, a trained combatant and Malgus?s companion.

Aryn Leneer, female human Jedi Knight and Force Empath.

Zeerid Korr, male human smuggler, former Republic commando.

For the rest of the DP go here.

I saw that, Darksama. What I meant was that I think Aryn Leneer = Jedi from "Hope" and Zeerid Korr = trooper from "Hope".

I see this as being very likely which leads to my next point... What if a relationship forms between them and eventually leads to a kid. A kid who is cloned in the far off future and is called Jaden Korr... I mean this is written by Kemp just like Crosscurrent which implied that Jaden may be a clone.
