The next story missions are now available! And thanks to Lady Alenzia, I'm about to learn my first diplomat skills. GrandAdmiralJello, I'll keep you abreast of new developments.
THAT HAT. Now we're talking. Time to get back into the game. Let me know if you find any of those hats. Probably need to be, what, level 45 or something to get any? Missa ab iPhona mea est.
Yes, you only reach the nobles when you're over 45, I guess. No hats as of yet, but I just got noble pants. NOBLE PANTS! And it looks like this Lord Corto Belrake is a force to be reckoned with: I've been told that he once "fought a TIE fighter squadron... from the ground."
LelalMekha previous conflict resolved: I am *so* siding with the nobles (again, unless it later turns out we can join the Empire). How hard is it to get the noble loot? Is it just in the story missions? And let me know if it's available via assault missions after the story quests too. I updated the game and went back into it. Everything is.... weird. I'm lvl 38 at the moment, so I'll have to grind some to get more story quests. But I have motivation now. Anybody know if you can get diplomat stuff from the t1 crane or do I need to save up for T2? I again am firm in my desire not to spend a penny on chromium.
Breaking news: we know what "Her Majesty" looks like, thanks to the new loading screen: GrandAdmiralJello You can get noble loot via assault missions. Spoiler Yes, she's gold-skinned because she is a Nothoiin. We learn that the Nothoiin Noble Court originally rule over the entire Anoat sector, and it was they who shaped the artistocratic culture in that sector. Over time, though, the Court became more diverse in species.
Assault missions on which planet? Do I need to unlock the story sequence for the faction first? Also, thanks for the loading screen! I was hoping I'd see a new one but I've got nothing so far.
Ahh, okay. So post level-45 then. Good to know. It'll be a while yet for me. Two more Qs: I. Any assault missions for Imperial gear, or is it still just Nar Hypa story and Imperial ops during sector battles? II. What's the new crew blueprint system? I have a Rebel crew member, whose blueprint says "Earned by completing any 4 star Rebel guerilla armory set" -- does that mean ANY guerilla set at the 4 star level, or specifically the guerilla set that maxes out at 4 stars?
Reading about the species lore and the activities of the court so far, it seems like they are just criminals with delusions of grandeur. Neat.
Oh. But what about those hats? I guess it just proves what I should have known all along. Only the Empire is truly worth siding with.
Eh, I was exaggerating for comedy's sake. It is just that species is noted in the EU as being commonly part of the underworld, and the player meets the court because the court is seeking an alliance with the criminal cartels. They probably are real nobles and royals, if I implied otherwise.
Don't worry, GrandAdmiralJello : They definitely are real nobles. But they obviously are badass too, that's all. They're what you'd call "royals who actually do something."
ahem. His Imperial Majesty very much did something. Just saying. Hmm but okay, that's better. I was worried they were like frauds or something. But if they're legit, that makes me feel better. Even if they're gross aliens.
So, version 2.0 just got released, and, umm, there's been a particularly substantial addition. Release notes here
I can't get the update to install on my phone, unfortunately. May try to transfer my character over to my wife's ipad - not sure how simple/difficult that is.
I tried to get into this game - I really wanted to see the story, but I just...can't. It's too much repetitive grinding to level up and then level up items and then wonder if you should have bought that better item instead of upgrading the inferior one, except now you don't have enough materials to upgrade the better one and ehhh... All the trappings of an MMO with daily credits missions and things. It just...doesn't hide that it's a game full of designed grinding-filler well enough to win me over. Especially not when the actual plot seems pretty thin on the ground. Shame though, I liked my terrifying sister.
This is still my main problem. Even while I desperately want to get the hats they've finally implemented into the game, I just... ugh can't justify spending time on this.
Oooo, is that an Abednedo? But yeah, in the same boat as Jello and becca here. Too little story between the repetitive grinding stuff to get me interested in playing this instead of just following from a distance.
I honestly don't spend that much time. I log in first thing in the morning and play my daily "special" mission and I sign in throughout the day to send my crew out on missions and that's really it. The only time that I dump significant time into it is during sector battles as the rewards are usually worth it. I did dump a lot of time in at the beginning, but I tired of the grind fairly quickly. Now I have a lot more fun just playing one or two missions each day and sending my crew out two or three times daily. Probably 1/2 an hour daily. I'm falling behind the updates, but I still have fun with it. I agree, though, that it needs more story depth to hold interest.
Yeah, it's become my time-killer and back-ground-noise game of choice. Waiting in line, listening to an audiobook, sitting through a show I'm not 100% gripped with, etc. I have a bit of fun trying to collect the gear. I've been focusing on completing my Tier 1 gear set more than I've focused on leveling up so I don't get killed by the Level 55 boss. I enjoy the story. And think it would be beyond cool if the lightsaber teased is Luke's recovered from Bespin, and you have the opportunity to be a temporary carrier from one person to another. That would be a really fun piece of Lore that you get to participate in.
