Are we assuming that the brown stuff on their armour is mud or camouflage paint? I don't see any mud on the capes and equipment so my guess would be camo.

No problem! You had some great images to contribute. Loving all the designs. It would be great if the Mimban Trooper armor has camouflage instead of actual mud, I think that would be a first for the Imperial Troopers, at least in canon.
Those Range Troopers might just be the coolest troopers I've seen. I love the Cossack style fur. (All this is doing is making me even more excited)
Apparently this Mimban Stormtrooper is played by Samantha Alleyne (who also played a Stormtrooper in TFA).
Patrol Trooper helmet appears to reuse parts from the Death Trooper helmet The Mud Trooper also has a red band on the right arm armour like the Shore Trooper. Oh and the Range Trooper helmets are just straight up modified Shore Trooper helmets. They're all the same Empire, so I guess reusing designs shouldn't be surprising.
Now that I have some of these figures, I truly love the design. Not necessarily the hole in my wallet but they are worth it. Will the mud trooper work on Mimban? I imagine just the Milbank trooper will. Can't wait to see this planet after starting to read Splinter of the Minds Eye just a couple of years ago!
I’m interested to see how the stormtroopers are depicted in Solo. If they’re just disposable goons or more legitimate foes. We’ll find out soon I guess!
Don't know what a 'Milbank Trooper' is but the Mud Trooper (like Han) are on Mimban as are regular Stormtroopers in full armour (except it's covered in mud).
I'm guessing they'll probably follow a similar approach to what Rogue One had, where the regular stormtroopers weren't really much of a threat, while the newly introduced specialist troopers were a little more formidable. I don't expect any of these new ones to be depicted as being as much of a threat as the Death Troopers were, though.
The Patrol Trooper looks like someone took some left over plating and clothing from Scout Troopers and just gave them a more traditional helmet and slapped on a green lens and painted some pieces of the helmet black.
Range Troopers have an WWII German Eastern Front vibe, combined with the old GI JOE Cobra Snow Serpents. Helmet wise they look like a cross between a Death Trooper and a Scarif Shoretrooper. The Mudtroopers are interesting, remind me of the of TFU Imperial Army solders from PS2 but their armor is using more Shoretrooper plating. The Mimban Stormtrooper's look to be sporting extra-plating on the helmet that seems taken from WWI/WWII German army sniper helmets.
I think they are supposed to look minimal. I read that local law enforcement on some planets has been replaced by Imperial forces. Patrol Troopers are basically biker cops. Minimal armor since they aren’t technically infantry.
The Patrol Troopers (what little I've seen of them so far) are probably my least favourite trooper design so far.
Yeah, they’re pretty standard. Though their dumpier, more police officer vibe, is deliberate I think. The mall cops of the stormtrooper world, basically. I like them in that context. By comparison, the Range Troopers, Mud Troopers and Mimban stormtroopers are definitely more interesting though.
