Maz Kanata: This is the second time I've had to reclaim my property from you, Dr. Aphra. (takes back lightsaber of Anakin Skywalker) Aphra: That belongs in a museum! Sent from my SGH-M919N using Tapatalk
It would be easier to regard Aphra as an archeologist if she actually did archaeology (rather than stealing weapons and money, and torturing people)
I think in addition to super-powered heroes of some kind, just plain vigilantes would be cool too. No super-powers or even especially high-tech equipment. But we know from TCW that energy bows exist, and in Legends (specifically The Last One Standing and Riptide) that bows that shoot physical arrows or bolts exist, so boom, you've got SW universe's version of Green Arrow. Or an ex-NRI agent who likes to use a bow over a blaster, and you've got our version of Hawkeye (Hawkbat-eye...? Never mind, I'll have to rethink that one.).
This talk of ysalamiri along with the potential of Thrawn being in season 3 of rebels makes me realize Kanan would be totally useless around the creatures.
A wide variety of mainstream superpowers have been exhibited as natural, Force-independent abilities by aliens in the Star Wars universe (or, at least, the erstwhile Expanded Universe). Examples include: Super strength: Rigellians. Super speed: Teeks. Super resilience/healing factor: Gen'dai. Shapeshifting: Shi'ido. Energy sense: Gotal. Precognition: Iktotchi. Telepathy: Draethos. Mind control: Chiggnash. Telekinesis: Laboi. Power drain: Hoojibs. Fluid body: Ugors. Near-invisibility: Defel. Fire projection: Glottalphibs. Stone skin: Vaathkree. Echolocation: Togruta. Vacuum support: Givin. Sonic blasts: Ithorians. Venom spray: ZeHethbra. Healing: Fosh. Pheremone Manipulation: Falleen. Is this your first encounter with Millicent? If so, you have quite a bit more Googling to do ...
There is also the Felecatians who turn into big angry cats when threatened and the Dazouri who Hulk-out and grow several sizes and turn into a rage monster when threatened.
Pfft do you think I post here once in a blue moon? There's a really weird subset of Millicent fans who draw the ysalamir/orange cat connection. Probably the same sort of hooligan ilk who can't tell their Chiss from their Duros...
