    The discussion wasn't stupid, I was just expecting a more traditional "Deleted Scenes" sort of setup.
    "Scene 1"
    Scene 1 plays.
    And so on. I think it'd be fun to see something like that tacked on to a higher quality, no credits between edit of the original episodes, but I'm thinking this is just a dream for now.

    It was interesting to listen to. It was cool to see that your method of hitting Cancer Lad with the truck was pretty much how I thought you might do it. Every time I see a shot like that in a movie, I expect that to happen. It's the easiest angle to pull it off from, really.

    Haha...
    "I disagree." was such a heartfelt moment.

    That fight scene is intense.

    I was weeping, holding my Quaylar dolls. Pricks.

    Haha, so now I'm even sadder that Episode 6 was never finished. But, alas, I still liked what you released. I think that I am one of the two people that still care...?

    I totally care. My friends and I, for some reason, have a Superheroes-watching party around New Year's every year.

    GENIUS!
    The next time I'm in the mood to create a custom action figure, that is SO what I'm doing.

    From the 12" line of course.
    I wonder what a good base for it would be. Superman's a little to wide-chinned. Robin would prolly work better, if I could even find one.
    EDIT: Ahh, eBay. I found a pretty good pair to make a Quaylar and Cancer Lad. I'll have to make the outfits myself, I'm thinking. That'll be tricky, but it's something I've done before. I made a Scarlet Spider out of a Spidey 2 figure back when those were still on the shelves.

    I'll update later, esp. if I win the figures.

    Now that is something I look forward to.

    Unfortunately, I can't lay claim to the genius of Quaylar and Cancer Lad dolls... obviously, someone didn't watch Day 4. [face_shame_on_you] :p

    Oh no, Quaylar dolls actually being produced? Haha.

    DAY 5 released, blooper reel! That's all folks! So what were your favorite parts from Episode 6? I'd have to say mine was the return of JFK. There's no way we couldn't bring him back.

    I'm sad that he's gone again... best scene was:

    "Foighting?...

    No...not fighting...

    Foiting?....

    No...

    Foighting...

    That's it JFK!...foighting!!!..."

    O.k. not exact quote there but still hilarious.

    Action figures.

    Anyway, I won the Quaylar base figure. I didn't win the one for Cancer Lad yet, but it's cheap and I've been the only bidder. Shouldn't be an issue.
    Say hello to 12" G.I. Joe w/ Desert Camo. I was actually amazed at how much Andrew resembles Joe... or is it the other way around?
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/superheroesfigures.jpg]
    I'll have to add facial hair to both of 'em, lol.
    The bottom figure is called a 12" Power Team Fire Fighter. Never heard of it, but it was the closest resemblance to Bryan that I could find.

    Now I gotta find/make clothes. Hmmm. I don't suppose you have some decent costume reference photos? If not, I'll just have to assemble a set of stills from the movie.
    This is gonna be so cool, having Super Quaylar and Cancer Lad standing on my superhero shelf next to Spidey, Daredevil and the rest.:-B

    Thanks, that's helpful. I have no idea where I'm going to find 1:6 tennis shoes, but we'll see. Maybe they have spare ones online that were meant for Ken dolls or something. I'll look into it more once the figures get here.

    And you realize of course that those images only make me want to see Superheroes in full res even more.:p
    I'm tellin' you man, I'll do the re-editing.
    Eh, it sucks though. I thought I'd be able to scrape off the webbing so he'd be smooth like Scarlet's outfit, and I used too thick of a fabric for the sweatshirt. It held together and fit nicely though. It was good practice. I've been looking around for an airbrush since then.
    One of these days I'll do it with a figure from a different line. I have a spare 12" Spidey here with that silly "House of M" paint job, I just haven't decided if I want to turn that one into a better Scarlet, or if I should try something different.
    Like this, perhaps: [image=http://www.samruby.com/Spiderverse/Spiderman/CostumeSpid58.gif]
    I love that issue.

    Someone asked about the sound effects I used in SUPERHEROES, so I packaged them up and made 'em available for download at the site. Enjoy.

    There are a LOT of sounds in there. I'm guessing that's your entire sound effects library, not one exclusive to Superheroes

    Thanks for putting it up though. I'm sure I'll use some of it. (Prolly not the TIE fighters, so much.)

    In other news, the G.I. Joe-to-be-Quaylar figure arrived in the mail today.
    Updates later.

    I like how posable this figure is. I didn't realize his top shirt was molded, not cloth. I'll be taking a dremel bit to those 'pockets' and the collar later.
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P2240254.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P2240260.jpg]
    This was quite a moment for me. They still need some touching up before I apply paint.
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P2240252.jpg]
    You get the idea of where this is going. So far, having a little trouble washing the color out of the pants.
    G.I. Joe. Hardcore in every way possible. I really hope I don't have to make custom ones. Prolly just find some khaki-colored cloth paint if this doesn't work. I was just planning to bleach then dye if the camo wasn't too noticeable.

    I'm prolly not gonna update every time I do something, since I don't want to derail the thread. Major developments, though.

    Received the base figure for Cancer Lad today (about a month after I won it. Sigh.):
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P3080266.jpg] [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P3080268.jpg]
    One thing I noticed that I got lucky on, is the fireman's physique. Not only is the figure taller than the GI Joe, he's also thicker.
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Vaportrail1519/Superheroes%20Figures/P3080269.jpg]
    The 8-pack is a nice touch (which sadly will be covered by the outfit), but I mean the arms. Since Bryan is a touch stockier than Andrew, I think it works well, especially considering when I ordered these two, they obviously weren't side-by-side, they simply said "12 inch figure".
    Also, having it up close makes me realize just how spot on their haircuts are.

    I'm gonna go look at fabric and other various things in a few. Prolly won't really dig into it until I get paid again, though. I still don't know how I'm gonna make Quaylar's gloves, but I'm working on it. First thing I have to do for him is dremel off the perma-pockets on GI Joe's shirt.

    So exciting.

    Perhaps I should forgo making your white undershirt, and simply paint over the muscle, eh?
    It'll be like Schumacher's Bat-nipple suits.

    Hardware and hobby stores carry various formulas of kneadable polymer epoxy putty. The "plastic repair" versions usually have the longest work life for sculpting purposes and can be finished by sanding and painting when hardened. :-B
