Are you sure? I just pretended to book 6 tickets via the website ( https://tickets.imax.bfi.org.uk/ ) and it let me (and it was seats for the central section).

BTW Monday or Tuesday next week (and the week after) is fine for me, any time.

I've also just checked for Tue 18th and got 4 central tickets (Row D which is near the front but I think they issue online tickets from the front upwards as the same happened for the 6:00 pm booking). Not sure where you got your sold out info from Steve :p
You can't choose where you sit with online booking either, you just know where you're being put which is handy.

Seeming as Jamie can't make it, shall we revert back to the 6:00 pm showing which will be a lot less stressful and better chance of getting tickets for??

It seems there will only be four of us which isn't too bad. Tickets will be £12 each. But best to make sure we can all confirm (especially you Raj :p ).
    So, Tuesday 18th July @ 6:00pm.
If that's fine with everyone, just confirm you can attend (by the end of today would be great) and we can take it from there.

    Thanks :D

EDIT: If next Tuesday is too soon, then we can make it for Monday 24th or Tuesday 25th July @ 6:00pm

Forgot to mention, great pics Ell. I was tempted to swing past the premiere yesterday as I was in the area but looks like you got a good view. Were they also dishing out fake Daily Planet newspapers??

IMAX sold out info was from BFI themselves, but I was referring to peak times! I can always post the schedule they sent me if you wish, but I know that my reputation procedes me of course! lol

Remember that IMAX is a relatively small cinema and sells out fast for big event films also

I am easy on date and time for booking, but we must phone and reserve the best seats naturally, Matt avoid front seats at IMAX as they are the worst!

    Pleas keep me posted.

Great pictures of Kevin at Superman Elliot

6 and 9 in the evening are peak time imo, so I think someone's got wrong info at the bfi. I've seen two films at the IMAX before (Batman Begins and Matrix Reloaded) and they had plenty of spare seats so I'm not too worried, especially for the 6:00 showing as most would opt for the 9:00 one due to work etc. But I'd feel happier too if we booked, but we'd need payment first. Might be best to go for Mon or Tue 24th/25th in that case, so that we have more time.

I'll wait for the others to report back Steve, then we can make a firm decision this weekend/beginning of next week.

Yes, we need to book together and payment must be in advance.

Do you wish me to send you a cheque, or would you prefer me to book as I'm already a registered patron!

Don't underestimate the sold out and pre-sales on this film in the first week, I guess the following week would be better for us all, but we must still book in advance to avoid poor seats!

Is it still only 4 of us ?

Me and Steve spoke earlier about seats and booking tickets, and we concluded that to get the best seats (central near the top) we'll need to phone book in advance. Therefore it's best to say we'll have the meet for Mon 24th July @ 6:00pm and people will have until this Sunday (16th) to confirm whether they can make it and to arrange payment details (paypal or cheque). That way I can safely book the tickets and we can get the best seats available :D

Tuesday the 25th is also an option if someone can't make Monday. Hope that helps and hope to see you there too :)

That was a nice idea. They really go to town with these premieres these days.
Sadly everyone has the same ebay idea now. It happened with the "Special" PotC2 coin that they gave away at the LF&CC. In the end it's pretty worthless but a nice token gift.

thats apic from an ebay page.

Saw the movie today. GREAT CHRIS REEVES GHOST ITS GOOD!!!!

The new guy for superman looks soooooooooo much like Chris Reeve it made me shiver. The storys great and Kevin Spacey as Luthor is wonderful.

    Spoilers:

The whole kid bit is a bit worring, meaning they may make a sequal with the Kid, bad idea. The Louis Lane+Clark Kent side of things was left out, which I didnt realy like, the bit I remember most for all the other movies and TV shows is the great banter of the two reporters, none of that here :(

Over all mega movie and I enjoyed to so much I went out and bought the 1-4 boxset I've been eyeing :D

    I still recomend.

Ell, you liked it so much you went and bought a 4 film box-set with only 2 good films in it? :p

    Should've bought the Superman 1 & 2 boxset

I've heard mixed reviews, but will judge it myself when I see it

hey! superman four-the quest for peace is my second favourite superman film!!!
much better than the schmaltzy superman two...
sure, they slashed the budget resulting in poor effects...
okay, the chopped the film down to a ridiculous running time, resulting in a confusing plot.
    but the spirit was there...
even moreso than superman returns,i think.
like the dialogue between lois and clark-there's some classic lines and exchanges there...
and a very real sense of lost love between the three characters-lois,clark and kal-el.
    give it another chance.

I've sent you the PM Fizz :)

Saw it today and loved it!! :D

I'm willing to give Superman 4 a go but I saw a clip yesterday and it did look truly terrible :p
I do love Superman II though so I'm guessing we'll probably agree to disagree on that one (I also like Superman III too).

When was it out Steve?? I don't usually go anywhere near a palce to get the ES lite (and I think the ES lite is free, is it not??) but you can always contact the ES and they can, sometimes, send you a copy if you're lucky.

Just a reminder to anyone that the deadline for saying you're coming is tonight!! So far me, Steve and Fizzbin are on the list. Last orders please, thanks ;)

And to confirm the date will be Monday 24th July @ 6:00pm.

Tickets are booked, and we have seats in the middle of Row M :D

I suggest we meet between 5-5:30pm inside the IMAX theatre. Or meet-up a bit earlier before hand for a drink?

I found out yesterday afternoon that I have to attend a seminar on Monday now. It should be finished by 5 so I can make the meet no probs, but meeting before hand, for me, might be difficult. Therefore I suggest to Fizz & Steve that you make your own arrangements for meeting up, telling me what time and where, and if I can make it, I'll be there. If not, then as a safe gaurd we shall say we will meet up at 5:30 at the IMAX (Inside the entrance).
Hopefully the seminar will finsih mid-afternoon so I can meet up for a drink, but at least we have a plan B if it doesn't :D
