Let me ask this too. How many Jedi did Luke have when Anakin Solo was 9 or 10?

I know Kyp Durron was the first. The farthest I read were the Jedi Search Trilogy and that was a looong time ago. I can't remember the details like how old the Solo kids were.

So when anakin solo is 9 how many jedi luke roughly have trained?

Well, there's really no concrete number, but 5 years prior to the events of your film, Luke says that there's dozens of Jedi, and that's after only 3 years of him and others training Jedi. I would say that there's probably around anywhere from 75 to 125 Jedi around during the time of your film.

wow thats alot of Jedi. I made it seem like he had about 20 Jedi. Then again you know there are still more out there like Kyp, Jacan, and Jaina since you dont see them in the movie, but you just have to assume they are on some away message.

Hey can anyone tell me how ppl on youtube get like 50,000 ppl to check out their clips in a matter of days?

Or not even that much, just in the 1,000's. I posted of course the link here, but how can i REALLY get this trailer out there. Because only like 150 clicks were done on the link and its been like what 5 days now?

How can I get 1,000's of ppl to view this clip.? Not saying this trailer is the best, but i see some weird stuff on youtube and 1,000's of ppl view that clicks. How do they get so many clips where as a trailer where i put time and effort in it, get barely any clicks?

Well, you could put a link to it in your signature or your profile, but with youtube it tends to rely a lot on word of mouth. Just be patient, and people will find it eventually. It took Ryan Vs Dorkman years to become widely known outside the TFN community.

Thank you. Yeah one day hopefully i'll finish it. Not sure If i wrote this already, but one reason why i've gotten so delay on finishing this movie is because I'm also making a Lost Fan Film.

Which i'll be putting the final touches on that film within this week.

Its funny because I started working on the Star Wars action figure movie over 2 years ago (not counting when i wrote the first original script which is pretty different then what you see in the final product) but yet I just started on the Lost:New Crew film in August.

Now it may sound like its gonna suck because I only worked on it for 2 1/2 months.

BUT. See my family and other friends and family go camping every year, and this year I was taking my 18 year old cousin with us, and she's a big Lost fan like me. And for fun i through it out there "hey wouldn't it be sweet if we made a lost movie at camping?"

She just loved the idea. At first i just kept joking with her everytime i'd see her "we should make a lost film ha? wouldn't that be cool"

But the closer we got to the camping day (which we stay there for 10 days. So good amount of recording days) the more i thought about IF i could accually make a Lost Fan Film. So wrote a quick script and said what the heck.

Of course the script wasn't fully finished by the time we went, I had to write scenes on the days we were recording. The main thing though was that I came up with at least what the main idea was. I figured "ok if i'm gonna make a lost episode there needs to be a purpess. I can't just start with 'hey were lost on an island'. Something needs to happen."

Anyways so we THANKFULLY got the recording done. it was kinda hard because we go camping for vacation. Theres beach and stuff. So i felt bad getting the actors to spend time to record. Even my cousin was getting tire, but i was like "either we do this or we dont" It was esspecially hard for my older brother.

I could techinally start putting the first part of my lost film on youtube, but we are gonna have a premier here where i live with everyone who was in teh movie. So alittle after that i'll start hopefully putting it online, if no one has a problem with it(the ppl in my movie).

It didn't help that the days we were there were those major heat wave days.
I accually have a teaser trailer of the Lost Film. Its just shots of the airport and inside the airplane. This was before we went camping, so theres not island shots in the teaser.

    Lost:New Crew Teaser

Again this doesn't show much. No island stuff. And i'm not in any of these shots either haha :) Anyways this is about my action figure movie. So sorry for going way off the track.

Glad you guys like the trailer (of star wars), but i hope you like the lost one as well.

edit: I just saw my own teaser trailer of lost on youtube. It has a little delay. Accually all my clips on youtube have a little delay. I wonder why it does that. Anyways its not that good of a trailer, but thats all I have to show for now.

I have to bring this up. Look at this clip on youtube that was posted TODAY and already they have 15,000 Action Figure clip.

Seriously thats ALOT of ppl to view it before the day is even over. Do these people put their link on chat rooms? Because I can't think of how so many people would view a clip like that when my clip hasn't even reach 200 yet which i think is more enjoyable to watch then his clip.

Basically i'm asking how can I get my future clips to be viewed by more ppl. When either my Lost Fan Film or my SW:Generation film comes out I'd love it if ALOT of ppl can view it. It just feels good when alot of ppl enjoy one of your projects, esspecially when you put so much time and effort into it.

A lot of times, people link to things on blogs or humor websites. Notice that serious videos either take less time or get less overall views on youtube than funny ones.

A couple days ago I just went back and watched my whole movie. THe first 50min of my movie is finished fully. The last 40 is the unfinished part. The last 40 is all edited together and music is in there. Some of the special effects is put in, but MAN the lightsabers are gonna take forever.

After watching my whole movie from start till finish i just couldn't believe how much I love my movie. I told someone If I REALLY work on it and focus on nothing else it might take me 3 more months, but seriously after looking at it all again i think its gonna take alot longer. Esspecially knowning I can't devote my whole attention to the movie.

But the good news is I just finished making my Lost Fan film. So when i do get free time now, i will focus on my star wars movie.

But since i bumped my topic here I want to at least ask a question. This is about Anakin Solo again. Ok the first time you see Anakin Solo in my movie he is being taught my Luke. My movie has some funny stuff in it too. So I made Anakin Solo a funny kid. So the scene goes like this.

Anakin: So uncle Luke, when are you gonna teach me to use the lightsaber?
Luke: Well Anakin Solo, first your gonna need to learn patience, and then you'll......(luke pauses because he feels something through the force)

I'll stop there. So this first time you see Anakin Solo (again i am using anakin skywalker TPM figure, with blond hair) I make Anakin say "uncle luke" and then I have luke call him "anakin Solo"

Now i just showed this clip to my wife (who knows star wars enough to know who the main characters are) and when she heard Luke say Anakin Solo she got all confused. She's like "Solo? Isn't this Anakin" And i had to explain. "yeah Anakin Solo. You know, Han Solo? Thats his and leia's kid." "what" Then she gets a look like she's trying to figure out when this happened. I was like "dont worry about it, remember this takes place after ROTJ. So Han and leia get married and have kids. This one is named after his grandfather anakin"

So, I was wondering. Even though Anakin calls luke "uncle" and luke calls him "Anakin Solo", you think it'd be best not to confused people that early in the movie and just have the scene go something liek this....

Anakin: So uncle luke, when are you going to teach me to use the lightsaber?
Luke: Anakin Solo your just like your father Han, you have no patience. If you could just be alittle bit more like your mother Leia then you'll......(feels something through the force)

Its kinda forcing it, but you wont be confused who this kid is after hearing those lines.

Well, that seems kind of contrived, but it really hammers home the point about who he is. Although I think part of the problem might be that you're using the Anakin Skywalker toy in place of Anakin Solo, which would seem out of place when everyone else is who they're supposed to be.
If you're open to suggestions, here's what I would have them say:

Anakin: So uncle Luke, when are you going to teach me to use a lightsaber?
Luke: Have patience Anakin. In the wrong hands, a lightsaber can do terrible things.
    Anakin: But Mom used one!
Luke: Leia's a Jedi. She's earned the right.
Anakin: Aw, come on! Dad used one too.
Luke: (chuckles) Yes, but then he stuffed me inside a Tauntaun. Anakin, sometimes even if people have the best intentions, they can still do bad things.
    Anakin: Like old Anakin did?
    Luke: Yes.
Anakin: But I promise I won't be bad! Really!
Luke: I know you won't, but-

And then he would get his disturbance. It might run a little longer than you want it to be, but I feel that something like that would flow more naturally than a one like piece of exposition.

I like it. I think it needs some tweaking. I know luke is laughing in your version, but accually Han did a good thing about stuffing luke in the tauntaun. And i'd still think Luke should flat out call him Anakin Solo. So lets try....

Anakin: So uncle Luke, when are you going to teach me to use a lightsaber?
Luke: Have patience young Anakin Solo. In the wrong hands, a lightsaber can do terrible things.
    Anakin: But Mom used one!
Luke: True, but your mother Leia's a Jedi. She's earned the right.
Anakin: Aw, come on! What about my dad. He told me he used your lightsaber before.
Luke: That was a long time ago. He did that to save my life. (chuckles) you know he stuffed me inside a tauntaun?
    Anakin: Eww
Luke: Remember young Solo sometimes even if people have the best intentions, they can still do bad things.
    Anakin: Like GrandpaAnakin?
    Luke: Yes.
Anakin: But I promise I won't be bad! Really!
Luke: I know you won't, just have patience Anakin and then you'll.....
(i need to end it will 'then you'll'... cuz Anakin respond is to those words after that.

not sure if its better, think it helps it, if i want to go for the longer version.

But you are right though, Having the same figure of TPM anakin is not good. One of my biggest regrets about this movie is that i didn't paint Anakins hair black. But if i can just make it clear that this kid is Han and Leias kid then i think i'll be fine.

Yes and no. While she was technically a Jedi, she didn't really use any of her training or abilities until the Dark Nest Trilogy, which was 6 or 7 years after Anakin died.

Sorry everyone heres another quick question. How much are 'credits' in the SW world? Because a bounty hunter in my movie says "hey remember we get 1,000,000 credits for every Jedi we kill" Is that considered to much or to little?

Because i somewhat remember somehwere seeing a bounty that was on chewie, han, and luke. And I seem to remember luke was 1,000,000 credits, but i could be wrong.

Bounties are worth as much as people are willing to pay. Komari Vosa (a deranged Dark Jedi/cult leader) was worth five million to Count Dooku, but he could afford it. If Luke was worth one million to someone, then he was worth one million. As long as it seems right to you, it should be fine.

This looks very awsome indeed. Very cool and has some of the best FX I've seen in an action figure film. Me personally i would've thought that stop motion might seem more serious than the way you did it (where it looks like you're playing with the figures), but it's whatever floats your boat. I didn't like your voice actors, though. Shot with Kyle Katarin was awsome.

Did Ki-Adi-Mundi really say "Telleth the location of the cloning facitlity!" o_O

awsome glad you like it. Yeah my "vader" is not that good. I am going back and re-recording all my vader lines to see if i could make it better. I never did get someone to help me with the Vader voice.

Yeah that Kyle part is pretty sweet. In the final version you'll see sparks and blaster shots. But i just added the saber for the trailer shot.

Ki-Adi Mundi says "Tell us the location of the cloning facility!"

I think stop motion is pretty cool, but for the most i see ppl not doing it right. Looks crappy. I think its all in how you record the shots. I think when you watch my file you'll forget someone is controlling the figure. YOu never really see my hand. I try to digitally remove it whenever it pops up here or there. I'm sure there might me a spot here or there where you might see it. But barely.

I've got another questions that i dont think i've asked. But what is Luke and Maras relationship at around the age when Anakin Solo is 9 years old? I've read up to the Jedi Serach trilogy and that was like a good 3-4 years ago. Those were the last books i read, but as far as i remember Mara and Luke werent together.

I remember Mara showing up in the books. I dont remember though how old Anakin Solo was at that point. In my movie luke and mara dont seem as a couple. They are accually in one scene together. And Mara accually does something to annoy luke.

On a side note on Mara. She doesn't say much in my movie. I accually have my wife doing her voice. She had a hard time talking serious. So i kinda made her lines humorious. it was easier for her to say the lines when they were jokes.

Again my movie has alot of funny stuff, but it gets serious when it needs to. Its cool because like minus the 2nd to last scene in the movie, the last like 20-30min are almost purely serious.

I was like "i dont care if there are no jokes. i'll make this the way i want to". Well really thats how i made my whole movie. I'm really making it for myself. I've been wanting to make this story for like 4-5 years now.

Anyways i dont know where i'm going with this, but yeah if someone can fill me in on that mara question.

Oh crap you serious? Well.... they're in one scene together. I never say that they aren't married. But luke is doing alot of things by himself in the movie. Does mara go on missions with luke?

Well... the mission he is on is more of a personal mission. And at the end of the movie everyone is involved. So just cuz she's not next to luke doesn't mean she's not married to him. Accually what am i talking about. they are in 2 scenes together. And the 2nd scene is briefing of what Lukes plans are. And mara is standing right next to luke.

Again for the majority of people who watch this wont think of that. But i'd still like to make it as accurate as I can.

It won't matter if it's not explicitly mentioned that they're married. It's sort of the same situation as the Young/Junior Jedi Knights series'. Those books were written before Luke and Mara got married, but take place afterwards. There was no way they could mention the marriage, but there's nothing in the books to suggest it never happened, either.
