If Syril ends up being the guy that pushes the button on the Death Star that lasers Cassian to death I can't tell if that would be hilariously awesome or the worst thing ever. Doesn't feel like that would fit the tone of the show.

 

Hilariously horrible.

 

Season 2 he'll come to realise exactly what the Empire is - and kills Dedra and probably dies in the process.

 

We'll discover that it actually takes two people to press the death laser akin to operators in a nuclear missile silo.
And there we'll see Syril and Dedra gazing at each other as they press their individual buttons in unison destroying their mutual foe.
It's like poetry! It rhymes!

 

What if the laser trigger is more like a Twister pad, and Dedra and Syril have to activate it together by intertwining their bodies in a super gross way?

 

Now you're getting into Spaceballs level territory!

LOL I love this odd subculture forming around Syril-Dedra shipping- is their ship name like Sydra... Deril.... ? I don't really know these things. But damn they are funny pair in awkward manner.

 

I think it would be Dedril , she likes to be on top.

What if the secret to making the Death Star laser work is to channel all that kyber crystal energy through two people embracing, and Dedra and Syril volunteer themselves to make this grand (yet uncomfortably romantic) sacrifice for the Empire? Thus also mirroring Cassian and Jyn’s embrace as they are vaporized by the Dedril Star? (as it comes to be known within the Empire)

These two actors are better than their characters. Honestly, the characters embody Hannah Arendt's banality of evil concept so well, as do most of the Imperial characters (major and minor) in Andor.

Honestly, I don't ship these two characters. But on the other hand, if they did get together, which I seriously doubt will transpire...it would be Rey and Kylo played realistically. Not healthy. And a message of saying, "Don't do this. Avoid fascists. Avoid stalkers." And ya know, you can contort that into a useful lesson. Jyn and Cassian are healthy because they decided to work together to get the plans to the Rebels. They agreed to disagree and connected on a wholesome level.

These two characters...are not good people. Mr. Karn and Ms. D. are banal representations of oppressors. Palpatine could manipulate them quite easily, and that's not a good thing.

 

Of all this wonderful series, Syril was the one I liked the most. I don't know how incel he is there, but the guy is cute. I even feel sorry for him, his mother completely crushed him, terribly toxic...

 

The actor is great, and yes, him being tortured by his mother inspires some empathy, but the one you liked the most? I don't... I don't know what to say about that.

 

What's wrong? I love people who do their job responsibly. In this regard, I also like Deedra, but Syril is a man, so I like him more. I've liked Cassian since the days of Rogue One. There is a lot of Empire in the series, and I love it, my system. Well, that's it, no one else is so hooked as a character... Andor's droid is very cute. Although the series is great, I sincerely missed one character in black in it.
