It also contradicts the story and characters' motivations from Dark Disciple. She died in peace, she died having a Force epiphany basically, she chose to sacrifice herself, she completely rejected the Dark Side, and her love for Quinlan by the end was completely selfless. And she was dead for months before buried. And Mother Talzin was also dead for months. But, apparently, they can preserve their consciousness after deaths (hello, Qui-Gon, who had to be chosen and trained for this), and they can resurrect themselves after any amount of time has passed after their deaths? None of it makes any sense. It's all so tiresome.

 

Maybe they can not do without specific conditions.

Nightsister magic and resurrection happen all the time they literally have a zombie army

 

And witches in general in all fiction has powers of resurrection

 

It's wild how Star Wars fans never actually pay attention to the things they watch. There is a difference between a single Nightsister shaman animating corpses (that do not have consciousness of their own, and that all immediately fall once the shaman animating them is killed), and literal full-blown resurrection of a person that had been dead for months, whose soul should have long dissolved into the Cosmic Force, which implies that she somehow preserved her consciousness after death (something that could previously only be achieved by Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin - a technique that had to be taught by the beings that are the closest thing to Gods in Star Wars), and then somehow returned to her body. That is just the logistical aspect of it, without going into detail how it utterly misunderstands and undermines the ending and the point of Dark Disciple and Star Wars as a whole.

 

I really didn’t like Dark Disciple and I would’ve rather they just ignore it completely and make her return vague enough that it can pick up on the ending of Obsession, which was a much better conclusion to her story.

 

When are all the times it has been full on Resurrection?

 

Nightsisters magic is wierd man. And its no proof Mother Talzin in a a Force ghost. But its implied its been done before Qui Gon Jinn. And Dark Discible does difference from the original script

 

Honestly, I don't really want to see Quinlan past the ending of Republic. I thought he had a soild ending.

 

We know Quinlan Vos is active until close the beginning of Rebels. Helping the Path and other jedi. I suspect Assajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos will have reunion by third episode. And like Bad Batch set up possible future tv show with The Path.

 

They really need to explain Nightsister magic more because its at the point where it really doesn't feel like a part of the force but something else. If Filoni is bringing back Abeloth, they should connect the Nightsister magic to her and lean into the Lovecraftian nature of Abeloth.

 

George Lucas said it was not part of the Force. Maul in Rebels saus its some aspects of the force. And consider The Nightsisters home Perridea is Also where The Mortis statues and gates along with Sith writing from an ancient Zeffo Emperor. Abeloth or a version of her makes the most sense.

 

so u dont remember the episode of rebels where the nightsister ghosts poessesed sabine and kanan . also Mother talzin was dead for most of clone wars. jedi understanding of the force is limited the nightsisters and the ewoks (and the people ofAndowyne) understand the great mystery sometimes better then the jedi

 

I assume night sister magic is force-related. Otherwise, what are they tapping into? Some different unifying spiritual field? That feels silly to me.

 

Maul says its some aspects of the force so its the force and something more it seems

 

Can the critique at least wait until we see the damn episode?

No Assajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos reunion it seems. She can only live as long as she stays away from Quinlan.

 

Yikes. What's the point then? Sounds like, again, just Filoni backtracking on yet another Lucas' story. With every new project, I lose more and more respect for the guy, who keeps talking in public about the sanctity and respect for "George's vision", only to violate it at every turn.

 

Would they have had a reunion on the script?
