I have double feelings about the New Turtles...

First of all; I am glad they cut out all this Rocksteady/Bebop/Krang/Roboninja-nonsense... I never really liked it. The Shredder is finally again in its old role, the powerful warlord, and arch-enemy, and not some kind of henchman of an alien brain.
    Major plus.

But then; the old theme is gone!!!! Teenage mutant ninja turtles! Teenage mutant ninja turtles! There the worlds greatest hero fighting team... etcetera...WHERE DID THAT GO!?? SOME THINGS SHOULD NEVER CHANGE!!!
The cartoon style is very sober and the turtles don't have eyes.

Well, I'd say the old ones are about as good as the new ones, it is a draw...

Bebop and Rocksteady were cool in the cartoon. The original comic series ruled as well.

It seems this new cartoon is trying to take it back to its comic book 80's roots.

I like how Baxter Stockman is black seeing as that's the way he was originally created by Eastman & Laird until that 90's turtle's cartoon reinvented him.

April is cool, but original 90's April was schwag all the way.

I really like the new Turtles cartoon. For some reason, the Casey Jones theme music always cracks me up. I don't know if they play it in all of his appearances, but it was great in the episode where they storm that tower and need Casey to distract the security guards. It's got a low-rent, generic "rap-metal crunch" guitar sound in contrast to the usual low-rent, generic "screaming whammy bar" guitar sound.

I don't like the new series. Why is it that they're bringing all the stuff we had as kids but they have to change it? Nothing was wrong. I loved the movies("Fight? Fight. Kitchen? Kitchen. Pork rind? Pork rind!" TMNT II) and together my brothers and sister and I had most of the figures, and each of us had our own personal turtle that we were like.(I was Donatello-somewhat quiet. Plus I liked purple. [face_blush] )

    Old turtles > new turtles.

I watched the old version all the time when I was a kid. I think I still have a few episodes on tape somewhere.
