Teneniel Djo

Can anyone help me by telling me what Teneniel Djo looks like? And what did the Witches of Dathomir actually do? I've tried looking in the CUSWE, but haven't got great answers to these questions.

Have you read Courtship of Princess Leia?? There's a lot about Teneniel Djo and the Witches of Dathomir in that book.

 

Yes, I read that book years ago, but my copy of that rag is in a dump somewhere where it belongs ...which is why I'm asking for help.

 

Teneniel Djo had red-gold hair, and brown eyes flecked with orange, according to the official SW encyclopedia. Too lazy to pull out my copy of CoPL, which is on the bookshelf, along with all my other books, some of which do belong in the dump.

What did the witches do? Not sure specifically what you're looking for. The encycl. says, quote, 'The planet's Witches - both good and evil - lead an ultramatriarchal society in which men are mere ornaments to do heavy labor or to breed.' When Teneniel met Luke, she clubbed him on the head and tried to drag him back to her cave to be her breeding slave. The witches (and their slaves) hunted, planted gardens, I think, and did the normal primitive things to survive. What aspect of their lives are you looking for?

 

What I remember from Courtship: They used the Force, but used it through chanting and spells so they weren't really as strong as Jedi. They had really strict rules about falling to the Dark Side, and they would banish anyone who showed signs of darkness for three years. Other than that, they just tried to live through a primative lifestyle.

Yes, I remember the chants and spells. But I think Luke showed them that they didn't need to rely on the spells. They were as strong in the Force as any Jedi. I'm sure that Kirana Ti and Tenal Ka didn't use any spells when they trained at the Jedi Academy.
