Cad Bane. He's got the skills, nine lives and is so good that Sidious recruits him. He'd find a way to take them all out.

 

If we're just talking about canon, then yeah, Cad Bane for sure. But if we include the EU, then I'd go with the unkillable, unstoppable Durge. He's a straight up monster.

 

Day 6 - If every bounty hunter went head to head, who do you think would come out on top? (Not including Asajj Ventress)

Boba Fett.

Jango is the Bounty Hunter everyone else is trying to live up to in the Clone Wars. He is killed by Mace Windu. That's a serious adversary.

Boba is the exact clone of Jango. I don't know how Jango Fett was raised. But I do know Boba Fett was raised from day one to be a bounty hunter. Trained from the start by Jango Fett.

Yes Boba if killed by dumb luck. But that's Han Solo's dumb luck. Nothing is going to stop that. And it's very possible Boba Fett wasn't actually killed in the Sarlacc.

It's also rumored the Boba Fett killed Cad Bane on the Clone Wars unreleased episodes. I'm not a big Boba Fett fan. There are bounty hunters I like more than the Fetts because the Fetts are sort of over played. At the same time the Fetts are the real deal. We've yet to see how competent Boba is but my guess is he's going to live up to the over hype if we ever get the chance to see him in action.

Go luck to the Mandalorian if he has to go up against Boba in season 2 of the Mandalorian or in any later season.

 

I admit I'm not as caught up on my bounty hunters as some of y'all, but I think probably either Boba Fett or Mando. Possibly Cad Bane, but I dunno.

 

I feel like Boba Fett has the best reputation, but just doesn't have the feats to back it up. Maybe he had a lot more going for him in the EU. I just hope he proves himself in The Mandalorian s2.

I've long imagined a film or tv episode that starts with the sound of heavy breathing in darkness followed by a muffled explosion somewhere above. Then the sound of something cutting through meat, a flame or laser, and we realise it's Boba fighting his way out of the Sarlacc. As we see him exit, he drops a charge and blows it out of the sand.

 

I'm going with Bossk.

After jango's death he trained boba AKA 'the best bounty hunter in the galaxy'. I imagine that there were a couple of tricks he didn't teach him.
Plus bossk can regrow his limbs.

 

Durge seems the obvious pick, but I'm going with Sabine Wren.

No other bounty hunter has shown as much skill with both ranged weapons (blasters, etc.) and hand-to-hand weapons (she used the Darksaber, Ezra's lightsaber, etc.). No other bounty hunter has created weapons as massively destructive as she has (the Duchess) nor modified their use on the fly (again, with the Duchess) as Sabine did.

 

Boba Fett at his point is almost entirely reputation. If there was a Bounty Hunter battle royale - we'd see the feats that make Boba #1. It'd be like The Box Count Dooku set up. I'm putting my money on Boba Fett earning his cool once and forever in that situation.

Right now Boba Fett is as famous for being an action figure as anything he's shown doing on screen. I'm hopeful we get to see the feats that got him that reputation on future TV shows and movies. Killing Cad Bane in a duel on The Clone Wars would have been feat #1 to back up his reputation. I really like what we saw of Boba Fett in the Clone Wars that was setting up his back story. Boba had heartless killers for teachers.

I think the best way for adult Boba Fett to live up to his reputation is as a villain. Not a villain without honor. Not a boss villain either. A bounty hunter without sentiment who is relentless about carrying out a job. He's in it for the money. He's a less chatty and much less vain Cad Bain. He's got all the right gear to hunt someone down. He's also got the skills of a tracker and detective to find a target. Boba Fett would have found Baby Yoda more easily and not had any problems dropping him off.

A heroic bounty hunter like the Mandalorian can be shown in over his head. A villain bounty hunter can be shown ahead of the game to make them more formable.

If Boba Fett is still alive after Return of the Jedi and if he's still in the bounty hunter game he would be a powerful foe. If Boba Fett is out of the bounty game and goes after some because it's personal - like revenge for the death of Fennec Shand - then it's probably over the one Fett's tracking.

 

We'll end bounty hunter week with the easiest and biggest one.

Durge because he’s a total badass and it was kinda cool seeing him always get his limbs cut off and survive.Also like the Mandalorian though due to his cleverness and cool weapons (Like that pulse rifle) Durge only really charged straight into battle due to his seemingly invincibility.

 

Embo. Been a huge fan ever since I saw him when The Clone Wars first aired.

• Looks cool / sounds cool
• Best hat in Star Wars, that serves as a weapon, a shield and a snowboard!
  
• Fearless / takes on opponents well above his level (Anakin, Savage Opress)
• Has a cool pet - Marrok

 

I have yet to actually see any of The Mandalorian, but the more I hear about the guy, the more I like him.

 

@Jordan1Kenobi I forgot Embo's hat was also a skiboard! Awesome.

Mando. Although he's already pretty amazing, we get to see his beskar-funded development, acquiring various weapons and insights.

I love the fact that he gives some of his reward to the foundlings. There's an underlying desire to gift others in the same way he was helped as a youngster.

His compassion for the child. We did sort of see this with Jango and Boba, but this is no blood relative. It's a strange little alien that messes around with his ship, can't speak to him and slows him down. But he feels the need to protect it and is rewarded on occasion with some life-saving audacious force treats. He's acquired a partner, of sorts.

He picks up big-hearted buddies on his journey. Quill and Cara, both of whom are ace, respect his skills and vice versa.

Great fighting skills. When Xi'an and co turn on him in The Prisoner, he takes them all down without killing them. He's that good.

Cad Bane

Any episodes of The Clone Wars with Bane in it is a hit for me. He's witty. He's charming. He's a real son of a gundark. A villain. He'll standup to anyone. I wouldn't want to hang out with Cad Bane and I wouldn't trust Cad Bane other than I trust he's always looking out for himself.

For hanging out my favorite would be The Mandalorian.

And Bossk is my favorite Empire Strikes Back Bounty Hunter. Really glad we got to see more of him on The Clone Wars.
