An honourable mention must go to the many Bothans, who only got an honourable mention.

 

I'd say only Yoda, Jabba, Akbar, and probably Greedo could be called more than tertiary characters and more than just a line or two or some indecipherable language (ex: Jawas/Ewoks).

It seems like this one has the potential to have more primary/secondary nonhuman characters with dialogue.

But point taken.

 

OT and PT had more background aliens.

 

PT had speaking roles for aliens with Mas Amedda, Yoda, Jar Jar, Boss Nass, Tarpals, Watto, the Podrace announcers, Sebulba, Neimodians (including other Separatist leaders (San Hill, Poggle The Lesser, and Wat Tambor) with brief speaking roles in AOTC), Zam Wessell, Kaminoans, Grievous

 

Not to mention Jabba and his gang of aliens, Droids who didn't speak basic/english, Ewoks. And there are even more.

Dialogue. And see above.

 

All of the ones I just mentioned had dialog, alien or otherwise.

 

Yeah. All the aliens I mentioned had dialogue too. Otherwise my list would’ve been much longer.

Maybe @Ghost meant English language dialogue?

 

This ep was about the same for me as the first. Still just here to see what Sith info we get and who the big bad is.

I'm not sure why the Jedi can't sense anything at all. Apparently not even little ripples of anything disconcerting. Obi Wan as a padawan had no problems sensing something "elsewhere, elusive" in TPM, Anakin sensed the khohouns in AOTC but these Jedi cannot even seem to sense that much when its happening a corridor over from where they're walking. Yes blah blah the dark side clouds but even if they can't sense Mae exactly someone's spidey senses should be going off besides Osha's.

How did Vernestra, a leader in the Jedi order, not know about Mae? She seemed familiar enough with Sol's relationship with his former padawan so it doesn't seem like a stretch to me that she would have known. When Sol brought Osha back to train her was there not some sort of information on her history put into in the archives? I thought the archives had profiles on each Jedi.

The writing/dialogue/line delivery just isn't doing it for me. I'm not hearing anything especially Star Warsy in the score either.

 

Maybe his autocorrect changed Dianoga to dialogue

They said that Mae wasn't in any of Osha's records. Even Yord didn't know Osha had a twin, and they were friends. It would seem the Jedi stationed on Brendok didn't tell the whole story when they got back. Presumably we will find out why in a future episode.

 

Yes. A cover-up of sorts seems likely.

Finished episode 2 just a bit ago. Liked it more than episode 1, and I also enjoyed that one too. I continue to like Osha and Sol. I like seeing Dafne Keen in things. That wig and beard combo was hilariously bad though. What was up with that?

As far as Jedi not sensing things… they never sense things, until suddenly they do. The Force is a nebulous power that has no real definition or consistency. It’s always been of the “does a thing that the writer wants it to do, until they don’t want it to do the thing anymore” type variety.

Despite the slightly lower rating, I may have enjoyed this one a bit more than the first. I really like Osha's exchanges with Jecki and Sol. The funniest moment to me is actually from Qimir ("I thought he was with you."), and he's a good source of intrigue. I like the further illustration of the Jedi residing in different areas.

 

He recorded footage of the fight, which was later reviewed at a small council meeting. Previously, the fat padawan did not use the video recording function when observing Qimir.
