I assume Sol will die but at this point who knows. He could go into exile or fall to the darkside too.

I've been wondering what the connection is, if any, between Sol and Osha. If it was a real connection, it would be strange if she ends up killing him. However, if the connection was not really a Force connection and just an emotional connection on Sol's part, then killing him would make sense.

There may actually not be any connection between them as Sol doesn't even always recognize a difference between Osha and Mae. And yet Qimir seems to be able to more easily tell the difference, suggesting he may be meant to be her true teacher.

    Who trained Mae?
    Who trained Qimir?
    What is the vergeance?
How did the witches arrive on Brendok?
    Who built "Stonehedge" on Brendok
Where did the witches come from?
    Where are the Sith?
    Is Qimir a Sith?
If so, who is his master?

Those are among the many questions I still have personally.

I just want to know who the Sith are. I want them to have Darth names. If that’s revealed then everything else is gravy.

    1. We already know who trained Mae. Qimir.
    2. Who trained Qimir is not something they have to tell us this season. None of the characters are even asking the question.
    3. What the vergence is is a mystery for another season, not this one.
    4. How did the witches arrive on Brendok is not an important mystery at this point.
    5. Stonehedge also not a major S1 mystery.
    6. Does not matter at this point. Not a major mystery.
    7. / 8. Where are the Sith? Qimir is the Sith. The character has told us, the writer and actor have told us. Why is this a question?
We, as fans, should distinguish between information we'd like to know at some point and actual mysteries or questions that should be answered in the finale.

Most of these questions are not important for the finale.

I don't think we'll learn this tonight though.

It’s kind of funny because I think the episode started at 45 minutes and this is the longest 14 minutes of my life so far so it definitely isn’t rushed

    Edit:

Episode is over. Sort of makes a compelling case for Season 2. Literally nothing else explained about the nature of The Stranger, which is incredibly disappointing. Plagueis appearance was bizarre and unexpected in that moment.

Assuming if they greenlight season 2: as the “Empire” of The Acolyte, assume we get Darth Plagueis being the true creator of the twins as the “I am your father”. More on The Stranger and Vernestra’s connection. Not big on the memory wipe thing, which seems derivative of Spider-Man.

But hoping we get one more season to close things out a la Andor Season 2. If not, they can easily make a show with the title “The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise” and it will be SEO p*rn and it can work

This episode broke me. Sol's tragic ending was absolutely crushing.

I think they nailed the landing with this one.

    WOW WOW.

Some really great duels in this episode. Bleeding a Jedi saber red!!!! Not sure how I really feel about Osha turning dark side. Still don't think what we got was quite enough.

    A hint of
Darth Plagueis. And of Master Yoda.

I feel the whole Osha and Mae relationship and motivation was still so inconsistent. Or maybe just certain decisions they made were a bit odd. Certain things were happening, but I'm not sure I believe why they were happening.

For a finale, was very good, with the surprises and the clues for season 2, maybe the best episode of the season in the finale itself.
    Plagueis!!! And Yoda!!! Poor Sol...

I thought this show looked at its worst anytime a ship was onscreen so starting off with a chase between two ships wasn't the best start. It would have been a good sequence...in 2001. The fight choreography was very good though out though. The whole Sol/Qimir fight looked great. That's been the overall best part of the show probably. The lightsaber turning blue to red looked cool too. Shame Sol won't be around for season 2. Hopefully there's some new good blood because Vern 100% cannot be the main Jedi to carry this show.

In the end, they should have subtitled this season The Acolyte: Cover Up.

Brilliant, exciting, inconsistent, daft ... I enjoyed it! I even like The Power of One round in the end credits and Sith 'romance' theme is very nice. Mirroring Padme and Anakin's marriage at the end as well. Cool.

    Vern
framing Sol for everything made me nauseous because she totally knew what she was doing to a good man.

    OUCH.

    That really freaking hurts.

    EDIT:

And now we know what killing a Jedi without a weapon means... how did no one guess this?

Oh Mother of God. This had so much of the Star Wars i love in it. Sols death brought the tears from me - first time for this show. First half of the finale was superb and intense. But one episode could not save everything. So many questions. And thats a invitation for season 2. We want more High Republic.

Great action. Really, the best live-action lightsaber duels since the prequels. Too bad Qimir kinda forgot about cortosis this time. The rest was absolute garbage. I can't even with these characters, their motivations and actions, that change on a whim. Can't wait to forget this show has ever existed.

Haven't really been a fan of the show so far, but there was some incredible fight scenes and a great payoff here with that well-executed death scene (The idea of how the "truth" affects Osha is kinda what I thought they could have done with Rey/Luke)

But, still so much of the character work overall is...weird. Messy. How they leave Mae, and Osha's decision for the future is just kinda...what? When Mae asks Osha what she wants, I was like....yeah, seriously, what do you want?

Qimir's motivations still feel too in the background instead of a driving force.

I like goofiness in SW but the tracker felt really out of place at times. Actually the whole escape bit at the start with Mae and Sol was silly and undercut the drama.

And overall for the series the trajectory of the drama was just flat, as we all knew we were headed for this kind of ending with the truth coming out, and it just...happens. There's no reason that truth couldn't have come out with the sister's first meeting.

So they could have thrown more surprises in there with Jedi mind wipes or something, or a greater connection to Sith machinations, the "lie" just being a red herring for an even bigger something.
