Mini Series Official “The Acolyte” Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I have to say this does actually seem to reflect both the leaked set photos we saw a few months back, and the Reddit concept art leaks from last summer.

Also a Reddit user (playthenpause) who correctly leaked both the Ferrix riot, and Maarva’s death from Andor, mentioned hearing that The Acolyte was about an assassin trying to kill a Jedi master without using a weapon. Apparently the Jedi master in question was played by Carrie-Anne Moss. So this stuff may well be (relatively) accurate.

Spare a thought for all those actors playing duel versions of themselves, sounds like thirsty work.

 

How weird do you think this show will be. This is an era of enlightment, of wonders. High Republic books and comics shows us all weird stuff, warlocks and other things. Like different force cults. Mandalorian pretty weird at times.

 

I think we will see dark side cultists with “unnatural” abilities. Perhaps Necromongeresque stuff (The Chronicles of Riddick).

 

I love it if we see weird force creatures that gets mentioned in books and comics. Maybe we get Mortis level weird. Like if the Acolyte goes to force nexus planet and finds a gateway to another realm. I love force vampires and werewolves. Maybe return of zombies.

 

I hope Disney gives us a Terentaktak, dark side mutated rancor creature that feeds on Force Sensitives.

 

That be very intresting and cool. Since the one making this is a fan of the EU. I wonder what they could do and pick from legends like the Darth Plagueis book.

 

Oh thank The Force! I didn’t known she was a fan of the EU. We truly could get wild stuff then.

 

Yes I remember she used the star wars atlas for refference at one point.

 

What new lightsaber variant do you think we will see debuted?


Darth Maul gave us Staffsaber (Wxar Kun did first, but I am going bu debuted on screen)
Lord Tyranus gave us curved hilted saber
Kylo Ren gave us Crossguard Saber

Will it be a Polearm or Lightwhip or Numchucks (Ventress has those in Battlefront II)?

Yes, we even got that in recent High Republic comics.

 

I could see that. The quillion cage that protects the hand should be made of Beskar.

 

Also more katana lightsabers like the Darksaber. Lighsaber Spears and axes.

 

I want to see an Odachi, ultra long Daito/Katana.

 

I hope this Show is less Childish and has a more Mature Tone similar to Andor since is a Show about the Sith

 

Agreed. We have plenty of kiddy stuff with Young Jedi.

 

Oh if any show be like Andor it be this show. I still expect humor with some characters.

 

If there is any Humor in this Show im sure the majority of it will be reserved for the Jedi Characters

 

And droids, most of Andor humor came from his sad droid and K2 in Rogue One.

The show-runner on this one has already built a very solid career on dark-comedy. I’d expect a lot of extremely acerbic/sardonic characters, both good and evil.
