I’ve found it difficult to commit ti Bad Batch S2 due to other time commitments but I do love any and all plotting that helps better explain Snoke or the Emperor. Can anyone spoil for me if there are solid clues there in this finale?

I’m looking for reasons to finish it off sooner.

More pickled snokes in a jar.

Besides that: “the emperor is very interested in cloning”

What an episode! Really liked the action and the dark plot about Omega. The ending on Wayland was brilliant. So the Emperor was already pretty obsessed with cloning and cheating death at that time. Spooky stuff.

What a ****ing episode. I would say this is best non series final out of every show.

So despite the fact that a multi ton train fell on Tech a part of me thought he survived. But I am pretty sure he’s dead after that goggles scene.

god damn this episode. What a fantastic show.

They were panicked and rushing, and knew AZI could help. But in that state of panic, they also forgot about Cid and her threats from them cutting her off.

I loved this finale. Truly a great one where everything came together. Much like others, I expected things to go to Tantiss, so this was a welcome surprise. This was the Empire Strikes Back of finales, but that bit bleaker. I do wonder if we've got just one more season to come that gives us that clone rebellion.

Really good finale to a somewhat rocky season.
Tech sacrificing himself was expected, considering his scene with Phee at the beginning of the penultimate episode, but it was done in a dramatically satisfying way.

The doctor being a clone was the least surprising twist ever as a final stinger though - I didn't even realize that that was supposed to be a mystery. :p

But all said and done, this was a fun season. I do hope the next one is a bit more focused though. And that we don’t have to wait almost two years for it.

I've gotta say, I was really pissed when Hunter decided to back off and "settle down" right after Tech sacrificed himself. Seriously, dude? He's such a wuss. I am not even certain now that Pabu being nuked would have made him take a stand against the Empire. Well, at least Omega's capture gave him a much needed push. I would not be able to take more of reluctant Hunter. I am glad that Season 3 will be full on fighting the Empire, helping the clones and locating Tantiss (I hope).

I get Hunter's viewpoint. The only reason Tech had to sacrifice himself in the first place, was because Saw decided he wanted to blow something up. If Saw hadn't done his stunt this probably would have been a pretty clean mission. So they did a mission Hunter was reluctant about in the first place and then one of his squad died, proving that he was reluctant for a very good reason. Sure the Empire killed Tech but they've always known the Empire is a threat. So it seems perfectly logical to take a step back after losing someone instead of doubling down. Because what did Tech's death accomplish in the end. Their mission failed and apart from some easily repaired damage to the base and some dead Stormtroopers the Empire lost nothing.

Hmm I still believe Tech is somehow alive and will return in Season 3. Overall a solid season it was.. few a bit boring episodes but the ones with Chuchi, Crosshair and cloning were definitely the best ones!

But that also means that Hunter was giving up on Crosshair as well. They went on the mission to rescue Crosshair. Tech died, and Hunter decides that they should settle down on Pabu, while their immediate brother, Crosshair, suffers in the hands of the Empire, and all of their other clone brothers suffer similar or worse fate. He decides to give up instead of finishing what they had started, and it's only Omega's capture that managed to convince him otherwise. I just really hate his defeatist, apathetic, passive position. I am glad it finally changed, but he's been like that for two seasons, and I view that as very selfish of him. So many people resist and do their part, and he just wants to back away as a highly skilled and capable soldier.

He wants to keep Omega safe and he wants to give her a life that isn’t just hopping from one mission to the next. One where she can just be a kid. Pabu represents that possibility and I don’t think it’s wrong for him to want to give that to her. It’s one thing to put your own life at risk but putting the person who has essentially become your daughter’s life at risk too is different.

Which is selfish. There are many kids who suffer and many other people, his brothers who suffer, while he, a highly capable soldier, chooses inaction. Which is why Omega should have been sent away with Cut Lawquane as far back as Season 1, and him holding on to her instead of letting go has finally caught up to him. Crosshair was right in Season 1 finale, "If you want to protect the kid, then let her go." Letting go is one of the central themes of Star Wars.

It's selfish when he is in position to make a difference, it's selfish when Echo, Rex and many others fight for their brothers, oppose the Empire, while he prioritizes Omega and safety. With the Empire around, there can be no safety and childhood. Empire has to be opposed. Especially when someone like Hunter is more than capable of doing this. Omega is no more important than any other kid in the galaxy, like those that were detained by the Empire for merely witnessing the Zillo Beast, which was, by the way, the Bad Batch's fault for letting it escape from the crashed vessel and leading it to the city. Like I said, if he wanted to protect Omega, he should have sent her away with Cut, and she would have had her childhood, and she would have grown up with her relatives, away from the fight. As it stands, she was still raised as a soldier, with the Batch teaching her everything a soldier can teach, and she was captured as a result of Hunter not letting her go, but instead being attached to her.

I mean giving her to Cut probably would have been a better choice for her. But she didn’t want it. That was her choice.

Right. That's what the plot required for the character arcs to happen, etc etc. I just find Hunter to be a wuss. Crosshair has so much more character and strength than he's ever had.

I still think if they wanted us to truly think Teck was dead there were better ways of showing it., but because of how emotional it was I am like 90% certain he is dead.

Tech is dead for sure. There is no surviving falling from THAT height. Obviously, they can't show him turning into a splash on the ground... It's just that Star Wars has a history of characters returning from the dead, and now we question every death, unless someone is explicitly decapitated :)

Falling from that height almost guarantees Tech will return with robotic spider legs.

They really went for feels right at the beginning. Wrecker should have jumped off, he's literally dead weight at this point in the show. Great music throughout the whole episode. Hopefully next season is mainly focused on getting Omega and Crosshair back the whole time. Now that Cid is out of the picture (hopefully), the amount of mission of the weeks should be minimal.
