    He’s not being a wuss, he’s being a father.
According to some modern internet badassery logic, it’s better to be a violent fascist than a peace-seeking non-fascist.

    How about the reappearance of
    Commander/Director Krennic
? I was really excited to see him show up in animated canon.

Yeah I’m also glad the Cid stuff is done. I’m hoping the next season builds up now to the anticipated clone rebellion which based on the not at all subtle foreshadowing in this episode, is now highly, highly likely to happen. Especially once the remaining clones find out what is happening to their brothers.

Even if Hunter truly wanted to retire on Pabu with the team, it would never have worked in the long term. He's a purpose bred soldier, so simply switching that side of himself off - particularly when he was fully aware of the ongoing clone angst in the galaxy - just wouldn't be possible.

In the end his was a hopeful dream but not a realistic one.

Ok. You win the Internet today. *slow clap*

I'm right there with you -- don't need everything to be hurtling toward Snoke and Palpatine's cloned body, but... it is what it is. At least with Tantiss, Thrawn not being dead and likely to appear in *Ahsoka* there's a call back to the old school EU cloning shenanigans from Zahn's original trilogy.

Yeah... I was thinking, "Don't cry about a cartoon character, daon't cry about a cartoon character, don't..."

Yes, and yes! Now... how long do we have to wait? I like Mando and live action SW, but have enjoyed BB season 2 more during this (awesome) few weeks of overlap. Cannot wait for season 3.

I know there's more too it than *just* her accent, but it's not entirely surprising that Doctor Scalder is Omega's sister. I wonder what her clone name was, if she had one. Alpha? Psi? Very interesting plot line moving forward. And, it'll be interesting to see if Omega and Crosshair bond, as part of his redemption arc.

I'm not overly attached to Phee, but feel bad for her as a character. And, I agree, a miraculous return would cheapen Tech's sacrifice.

    My ranking through 16 episodes:
    12, 3, 15 & 16, 7, 8, 14, 9 &10, 11, 6, 13, 1 & 2, 5, 4

I confess, I really dislike it when a character is given more screentime, development, a love interest, etc., only so that their death felt more meaningful in the end and the viewers cried more. I feel like this happens way too often in media. Not a fan of this development. Also, this is minus one out of three characters I was really interested in, so... yeah, I'm a bit salty. If Tech is gone gone, I sure hope they bring Crosshair back quickly or at least find a way to integrate him into the story that doesnt result in him only appearing in 2,5 episodes per season, because I'm not looking forward to 10+ episodes of only Rickah, Huntah and Icko.

Obviously, this was done for plot reasons, but Hunter really had no reason to bring Omega along on this mission. If Hunter's number one priority is to keep Omega safe, then he should have told her to stay on Pabu with Phee. Bringing her along into secret Imperial facility that is full of Imperials, where a meeting of high ranking Imperial officers takes place, might not have been the best idea. But then the story would not happen. The problem is that Hunter used to recognize that, and when they did a similar mission in Season 1, the one where they rescued Gregor, he told Omega to stay on the ship. Maybe he was more confident in her abilities now, but she's still pretty much a child with her tiny little bow, and she was so out of place on a covert infiltration mission into a highly guarded facility that is swarming with troopers. Hunter could have also told her to stay on the ship this time, maybe she could have been their backup, and it would be a payoff for the "Tech turn" she practiced in the previous episode.

Instead, they could have made it so that the Empire tracked them to Pabu and captured Omega all the same.

The one who got the most development this season is the one who bites it? Considering Hemloch only found his goggles and not his body, Tech still lives as far as I'm concerned. Cid ratting them out to the Empire was predictable, especially as the Batch started questioning their working arrangement more and more this season. Too bad Nala Se didn't have more appearances, same for Lama Su honestly. That ending, does that mean Emerie is also a clone, what? how? There has to be a third season, no way this is the end.

Some time ago the Bad Batch decided the safest place for Omega was always with them. Even if they are going into a danger zone the thinking is the lessons Omega learns, the real world experience she gains, will help her survival in the future.

It’s easy to forget that Omega is the oldest member of the Bad Batch. That also plays into what’s happening. And let’s not forget Jango Fett took Boba with him. Maybe some of Jango’s paternal instinct was passed to Hunter and the Bad Batch.

I sort of hope he is so the show has consequences but I’ll also miss him and would be fine if Tech returned.

We have no idea what was beneath the clouds around Tarkin’s citadel which creates any possible convenient rescues.

Hmm, I don't remember that. I thought they wanted to settle on Pabu, though? It is safe, it is remote, the Empire can't find it. They have friends there and people they could trust. Omega could have easily stayed there.
Nah, Boba lived on Kamino. Jango did not take him to Coruscant, for example. They left Kamino and Jango took him on Geonosis only when Kenobi tried to arrest him. And still, despite being younger, Bad Batch have lifetimes of experience. They are highly trained commandos, war veterans. Omega lived her entire life in a lab. Hunter's top priority is Omega's safety, and I think that bringing her along contradicts that and they never explained why they needed her on that mission.

The 'fading out' scene was very possibly Tech's POV not Omega. Or maybe both

Well, now I know what people that shipped Luke and Leia back in the days after ANN and TESB were feeling when RotJ was released... Still realy interested about Emerie's storyline.

IMO, Tech's sacrifice was even more powerful than Kanan's one, I am going to miss him (but hope that he will not be revealed to be alive for the sake of drama + TBB already has Echo as a resurrected one).

My guess is that Cid will eventually atone for her betrayal.

Hemlock was quite menacing, with Dedra and him seems like NU Canon is finally succeeding with making both interesting and competent new on-screen Imperial villains.

Brilliant ending. A few slow episodes this season, ya know the Indiana Jones treasure hunt ones.......but they were still fun. The rest, focusing on the main story arc, have been sensational, the ending fabulous!

Anyone know when Season 3 is due?

So there were two female Jango clones.

Omega is like Boba Fett. Seems the doctor is a growth accelerated clone. That or she is Jango Fett’s actual daughter.

Wow that ended so suddenly. This episode was just pure emotional damage, all our characters are in such a bad place. Some cool action though and Emri is intriguing. Always good to see Scorch and the commandos.
