Full Series The Bad Batch 3.01 - Confined - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Looks like we're getting an episode of Omega and Crosshair in confinement.
I just didn't think they'd run across Kino Loy so fast.

And indeed after finding Kino Loy, the play one One Way Out with One Face All was a nice touch...though it would have better if it wasn't a musical number.

 

Bold. Choice to turn the show into an on ice musical

 

I didn’t think I needed to see Crosshair eating cereal for a whole episode, while Omega reprimanded him for having no good job prospects. But I did need to see it. Very Andor-esque. I liked it.

 

I like the new opening credits. It's amazing that they were able to get the rights to use "Overture, curtain, lights, this is it, we'll hit the heights."

Such a bleak and dark episode. Definitely setting the tone for this final season. I loved it!

 

Omega grew up fast, been almost a year maybe. Loved the dark tone and yess she is force sensitive the hints they give this episode

 

I mean, you were at least half-right (depending on whoever Kino Loy is)...!

 

Well this was depressing

 

I loved how the repeats of the routine made the episode feel longer. Just like staying in the same place.

 

Yeah, a couple of moments really resonated with me. Struck a perfect balance, though. Bleak without being depressing.

 

I am going to check something real quick, but there is a shot where Omega is marking the days half way through the episode. I’m gonna count them

okay Omega was at Mount Tantis for 140 days at least. I think there are more tallies than that so I it is probably more than that.

 

Question is, how long is a rotation on the planet Weyland? Is it a standard day? Omega doesn't have a clock; she's using daylight.

 

Either way I would probably say the true number is closer to half a year

So something I noticed from the trailer footage. We have seen almost all footage that has Omega in it. Only two scenes we haven’t seen are Omega flying the ship during the day. And Omega, Crosshair and Batcher after they crash said ship. Other than that we have had no other scenes with Omega

 

They probably crash said ship next episode. And we see her fly and crash.

 

Hopefully after attempting to pull a Tech Turn in that tanky bucket o' bolts.

 

It makes me think that the likelihood of my other theory of Omega being captured again is very likely. I hate to imagine what the empire will do with her.
