    I gave this a 10/10.

I really liked this episode, and it confirmed what we all thought (and maybe not all). I do wonder though how is she alive? Nightsister magic? I never read Dark Disciple but understand she died. Okay on the show. I really liked the fight with the guys, but the monster I could've done without. Also, I am interested what her statement about Omega meant really. I mean if she meant she does have potential, how could she tell? I will end though by saying I was hoping to see Quinlan at the very end.

Great episode for me anyway. Been a while since I read Dark Disciple, but I can recall that Quinlan placed her in water, so the best and most simplest explanation is that the waters were given some healing abilities from Mother Talzin, however, if memory serves me right, Merrin may have still been living on Dathomir, so she could have done it as well.

Batch's reaction to Ventress is stupid. Yes, she was working for Dooku during the Clone Wars (however, in one of the previous episodes they were OK with a mission to save a former Separatist leader). But how can they not know what happened then? It's just impossible that Republican database to which they (a super-duper-elite commando unit) had access didn't say that she was no longer working for Dooku by the time the Clone Wars have ended.

And their accusations of her being a "war criminal" look ridiculous. Yes, she can be called a war criminal. And you guys are not? (yes, Crosshair, it's about you - not only but mainly)

If Ventress was able to find them - the Inquisitor also must be. So Pabu can no longer be considered a safe haven for the Batch.
Have you ever heard about Jango Fett: Open Seasons comic?
Padme's body definitely had decayed a lot since RotS. If resurrected, she would look like Catelyn Stark after resurrection.
Given that we now know that time travel in SW is possible - Vos could have found a portal to the WBW and save her (furthermore - it's now possible to explain basically every resurrection in such way).

Of course I have. But that was the EU. To George Lucas, Jango Fett was not a Mandalorian, which is why he specifically requested to put that line in The Clone Wars, that Jango Fett was just a bounty hunter, and not a Mandalorian.

Filoni changed it back to the EU version in The Mandalorian S2.

That's exactly how it worked in Rebels.
This is what Almec said. I don't think we can trust him too much...

Ahsoka never died in rebels. She was always saved by Ezra. There was never a point in which she was dead

Indeed. Filoni left somewhat of a loop hole for the EU fans to reconcile this. Almec was a corrupt politician and he often lied. However, what he said was absolutely true from the meta-standpoint, since he was basically acting as a mouth piece of George Lucas, who did not consider Jango Fett a Mandalorian — which is why this line was in the episode in the first place, because he specifically requested it. And Satine was also in the room there, and she didn't correct him. Like Lucas used to say, there are two Star Wars worlds: his world, which was film and television, and the other world, which was the licensing department and all that other stuff. I am very much more interested in Lucas' interpretation of Star Wars, first and foremost, and I mentioned that because Filoni keeps messing with Lucas' stories, such as officially making Jango a Mandalorian, or resurrecting Ventress, when Lucas very much intended for Dark Disciple to be the conclusion of her story. I don't like it. But at this point, I just consider all of Disney Star Wars nothing better than fanfiction. Some enjoyable, some not so much.

We don't know how time works in Star Wars.
If it works like The Terminator (timeline is constant and everything that a time traveler will do in the past in fact has already happened), then yes, she was always saved by Ezra.
If it works like Back to the Future (timeline is flexible so a time traveler can change the present by doing something in the past), then she was dead before Ezra altered the timeline by entering the WBW and saving her.

I haven’t watched it again but didn’t Crosshair say he accessed Tech’s records and not the empires, that he found what he could from that or something? So the records wouldn’t have been up to date. Seemed a nice little nod to how they miss Tech’s skills.

And what does it change? Ventress wasn't betrayed by Dooku a second before the Clone Wars ended. Rather long time had passed between the betrayal and the Clone Wars' end. Tech's records may not be up to date by the moment when the episode takes place but they definitely must have been up to date by the moment when the Clone Wars ended.

I finally got to watch this one and…

    OH **** YEAH.

She’s back. And she is not the Wusstress that Dark Disciple turned her into. She’s still badass.

Her sharp wit is intact, as is her fighting style.

I like the idea that she is fighting the Empire, in her own way.

‘I blame those three overprotective shadows for your lack of training and discipline.’ Lol.

‘Did you summon that?’ ‘Not intentionally.’

Calming the sea creature and the ‘yeah so what’ attitude following was a nice touch, as was the ‘**** you’ expression she gave Omega when Omega said ‘that was pretty fun.’

‘I can’t figure out whose side you’re on.’
    ‘My own.’

Had a feeling you would love it. And they only really vaguely touched on DD. I don’t like Ventress nearly as much as you do. But I agree with you on DD. She and Vos are poorly written seperately and together in that novel. It was good to have the old Ventress back

I love entertaining the rumors of a live action Ventress. Something like Sith-lite.

Yes, this was good because I was able to stay awake all the way through while actually paying attention.

The best thing the creators could do is off the Bad Batch dads and hook Omega up as Ventress's apprentice. That is so much more interesting and entertaining, IMO.

Ventress and Omega have chemistry. I felt way more emotional potential in their relationship than anything that's ever happened before on this show.

Let the dads have a heroic death and end this well-intentioned snooze fest.

I'm finally getting caught up on The Bad Batch and I have really been enjoying this season. I think it's the best of the three. I really appreciate the serialized narrative in this season. And I think this was one of the better episodes.

I know a lot of fans aren't happy with this episode seemingly disregarding Asajj's death in Dark Disciple, but I can't say I'm upset about it. Apart from the Timothy Zahn Thrawn books, I'm honestly over the new canon books. It's hard to think of them as having equal canon status to the movies and shows, so even though the official stance is that it's all canon, I have mentally moved the books and comics into a "pseudocanon" category. They are there for the movie and TV creators to draw from if they chose, but I'm going to save myself the headache of insisting that everything onscreen must line up with them. As far as I'm concerned Dark Disciple is still a cancelled TCW episode. Until I see it onscreen, it didn't happen.

It happened, from a certain point of view.
    Then, somehow, Ventress returned.

"Clone Wars" like Genndy's? or "The Clone Wars"? I personally prefer modern version to her debut in Genndy's show.
