You people are losing faith in your players after one week? I'm not making any drastic moves until they have 2 to 3 weeks under their belts.

Also @DarthIntegral when do we get to see AAA stats so we can see who might actually be worthy of a call-up?

    @DarthIntegral

Dan Brouthers to the 15-Day IL
Sherry Magee to the 15-Day IL
Activate Jim Fogarty to Active Roster from IL; put as RF Starter
Move Paul Hines to CF Starter
Move Billy Hamilton to LF Starter
Move Jack Rowe to 1B Starter
Activate Joe Evans to Active Roster from AAA; let Mirabel sort out SS.

Glasscock should be a PR, Evans a PH on the list as well, please.

I think that should cover it?

I'm good with everything staying the same, outside of the results of every starter not named Hilton Smith.

I’ll stay put as well. The blown lead is concerning but I feel that one is Tom Kellys fault. We have a 9 pitcher bullpen for Pete’s sake, he didn’t to try to get Sutter through a second inning when he was already over 30 pitches.

The Triple A season starts on April 13. I'll probably do monthly exports of AAA stats to go along with the FODEUSS exports.

Changes are done. Sims are starting.

Also ... Someone suggest a new good ending to the thread title and get a mod-type to update it.

    FODEUSS Game of the Week
Brought to you by a random beer I recently had that was really good: Hearts of Darkness by Butcher and the Brewer

    Thursday, April 8th
Let's Play Two at Performance Enhancers
    Citi Field, Queens, NY
    7:05 PM
Clear Skies, 62 Degrees, wind blowing in from right at 12 MPH
    24,885 in attendance

Juan Marichal and Rube Waddell looked to give us a solid night of early-season baseball, as these two teams squared off with Let's Play Two off to a strong start, and Performance Enhancers looking to right the ship early.

Paul Molitor opened the game with a single on the second pitch thrown by Waddell, but Waddell would strike out the next two batters he faced - Miguel Cabrera and Vladimir Guerrero - to give himself a chance to escape the first inning unscathed. But, Mike Schmidt would not afford him that opportunity, lacing a 1-2 pitch down the line for an RBI double and an early lead, though Waddell did retire Mike Trout to end the inning with just that one run in.

Marichal would get a 1-2-3 bottom of the first, but Waddell would give up another leadoff single in the second, this time to Roberto Clemente. This time, no runs would score, as Waddell would retire Gabby Hartnett, Ernie Banks, and Marichal to get out of the inning.

Dick Allen lead off the bottom of the second with a single, giving the Performance Enhancers their first base runner of the day. Allen would move to second as Nomar Garciaparra grounded out, and Hack Wilson would draw a one-out walk to join him on base. But, Marichal would get Scott Rolen to ground out and Mike Piazza to fly out, and that would end the inning with no runs for the Enhancers.

Waddell would get his first 1-2-3 inning in the third, and Marichal would match that feat in the bottom of the inning. Mike Trout would get a one-out single in the fourth, but he would get erased on a 5-4-3 double play from the bat of Clemente.

Larry Walker would single to open the bottom of the fourth, and he would go first-to-third on a one-out single from Garciaparra. Hack Wilson would lift a fly ball deep enough to left field to score Walker, and after a Rolen groundout, we were tied at one heading into the fifth.

That tie score wouldn't last long, though, as Ernie Banks ripped a one-out double, and scored as Marichal - given the "green light" on 3-0 from Joe Maddon - singled to score Banks and put Let's Play Two up 2-1. Two pitches later, and Waddell had retired both Molitor and Cabrera, and the inning was over with just the one run in.

Marichal got a 1-2-3 bottom of the fifth, sending us to the sixth ...

Where Vladimir Guerrero lead off the inning with a homer, sending a 2-1 pitch 395 feet and gone. Mike Schmidt followed with a fly out that didn't quite leave the park, and Trout was hit by a pitch. Clemente struck out, but Waddell walked both Hartnett and Banks to load the bases for Marichal ... who grounded out to the shortstop to end the inning.

Marichal walked Paul Waner and Larry Walker to open the bottom of the sixth, but got a 6-4-3 double play from Dick Allen and a 6-3 groundout from Nomar to end the inning with no damage done.

In the seventh, Cabrera reached on an error from the shortstop, Garciaparra, and a single from Guerrero moved him to third with one out. But, Waddell struck out Schmidt and got Trout to ground out with no damage done in the inning.

There was a slew of changes for LPT in the seventh on defense, with Mark Grace in at first, Ryne Sandberg in at second, Sammy Sosa in at right, and we can only assume a bunch of other guys who played for the Cubs subbed in somewhere.

Anyways, Marichal gave up a two-out single to Piazza, but retired the pinch hitting Barry Bonds to end the inning, with LPT still up 3-1.

The pinch hitter ended Waddell's night, with his final line reading 7 innings pitched, with three runs allowed on eight hits, and six strikeouts against two walks.

Blake Treinen got the call out of the pen, and he worked a 1-2-3 eighth.

Marichal continued his strong start, retiring Eddie Collins and Paul Waner to open the inning, before issuing a two-out walk to Walker. Dick Allen then sent a 3-2 pitch 429 feet for a "no doubt about it" homer, tying the game at three. Garciaparra followed with a single, but Hack Wilson flew out to end the inning.

Jon Stewart left Treinen in as we entered the ninth. The pinch hitting Hank Aaron got a leadoff single, but Treinen retired Sosa for the out. Mark Grace followed with a single, but Aaron was thrown out at third for the second out of the inning. Yogi Berra was sent to the plate as a pinch hitter, and he singled to center, and an error from Hack Wilson let him go to second and put Grace on third. Zach Britton relieved with runners on second and third and two outs, facing Schmidt. And on a 2-2 pitch, Britton would uncork a wild pitch, allowing Grace to score and Berra to go to third. Schmidt would draw a walk, but Trout would ground out to end the inning, but LPT was now up 4-3.

Joe Maddon went to Rollie Fingers in the ninth, and put in Javy Baez at second.

Fingers struck out the pinch hitting Willie McCovey to open the inning, and got Mike Piazza to ground out to third for the second out. Bill Dickey - up as a pinch hitter - singled to put the tying run on base.

But Fingers struck out Eddie Collins swinging to end the game, giving the win to Let's Play Two.

Final: Let's Play Two 4, Performance Enhancers 3
    Win: Marichal 2-0
    Loss: Treinen (0-1)
    Save: Fingers (2)

    Player of the Game: Juan Marichal - 8 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 2 K, 4 BB

inty, please move big ed into the starting lineup in rf in klein's spot in the batting over. move klein to the bench role starting every 5th day.

no dl moves, but have daily start in harvey's place if he has to miss his start.

Well this feels a little more sustainable than hoping Jeff Kent can backpack an entire roster that can’t hit for an entire season. I’m still waiting for the bottom to fall out though.

No changes. Gonna give 42 a while longer to try and get out of this ugly slump. Having our leadoff guy be so spectacularly awful has probably cost us at least a couple of these games, though. Can't last forever. Maybe.

    Dat winning streak!

    ...meh, probably beginner's luck :p

I'll review for changes tomorrow, but with that kind of record, probably none. Deacon should be fine and doesn't need to go to the IL.
