I don’t care which one, because I don’t care how tall he is or how much he weighs

You're so lucky that Boba Fett has changed from the badass killer you can't move past him being. You'd be in real trouble for all the Star Wars character body shaming you've dedicated your life to.

It's interesting how certain posters always shame themselves each week by shaming these threads.

If anyone’s bored enough, this episode (which I loved) got me nerding out hardcore about the Māori tie in’s and how personal filming this ep must have been for TM, but then that led to some deep diving on their martial arts (which TM learned, at least the performative aspects) early in life, how a weapon he was trained with compared to the gaffi stick, etc.

I don’t either, I do however care about continuity and attention to detail surrounding a character I have been most passionate about and collected over many years. Most have gone on about what they like and what is wrong, details here and details there, pop at everyone or live with it.

I’ve come in with a view that’s far from 12 out of 10 and it upsets. Why?

That’s a strong antagonistic statement - Interested in what shaming?

    That I loved s
Years ago I've been attending Ring*Con. Lawrence Makoare Was one of the Star guests and "taught" us a Maori dance. This episode so much reminded me of this and I want to cry because I've forgotten the dance (which could easily have meant that we all were stupid).

Please don't double post. Especially when a single post has been enough to get the terrible job done.

Rewatched the first two episodes, and I have to say this one makes more sense to me now.

That’s still great. Reminds me of how I did a sword routine with Ray Park and didn’t ask anyone to film it or take pictures… because I’m an idiot. It was before smartphones were common (AOTC days).

You could probably watch some different haka dances online and identify the version you learned!

I think I still have the DVD, so I could look it up.
But ... it wouldn't be the same. It is just like with Boba. Learning it was a form of closeness and familarity that made it special. Doing it alone in front of the screen would 'destroy' the memory of it and what it meant back then. We all were together for these moments, we all belonged together and were there because all of us love LotR.

I don't know who all the Tusken actors are but if Tem came up with the dance, he has shared it with outsiders (just as we were outsiders on the Con) and just like in-role the Tusken shared it with him as the outsider. It is a great message.

You're spoiling the fun. I mean this show has gaffi sticks. Gaffi sticks!!!

Just kidding, I'm not the least bothered if someone points out details of Boba's appearance.

The stupid haka face every time he floors an enemy is getting tiresome now. They should have reigned him in a bit, and perhaps sat him down and gave him a rundown of what Boba has been up to since AOTC.

If season one ends with a big shocking reveal that Jabba is still alive I will not be a very happy camper.

I can understand it being a bit jarring to see in Star Wars, but referring to (what I believe is called) pūkana as "stupid haka face" is surely a bit insulting.

I've had the Criterion BD of Woman in the Dunes for maybe four years, and have yet to ever watch it. I know the gist of the story, and, given that we're watching Boba, I'm now inclined to watch WitD in the next week or so.

My favorite desert album (but not desert island album) is Belladonna by Daniel Lanois. If you happen to like pedal steel guitar and ambient wanderings through desertscapes, this might be up your alley.
