As I had stated earlier, I found Season One of "The Mandalorian" very frustrating. It wasn't until the last two episodes that it seemed the series finally got its groove. And as much as I liked Season Two, I thought the series had depended too heavily on the nostalgia factor. I still do.

With Series 1 of Mando i think many were in awe over what was the first live action Star Wars tv show. And Disney put the money in so every week it was like watching a mini movie. Things that were in big budget movies are now compressed into TV looking the exact same.

As time goes on though. that whole awe is gonna fade as we start to grow accustomed to Star Wars on TV. if it hasn't started already really.

I decided on an 8. I initially felt Lortha Peel's entreaty would provide the whole episode's (present-day) plot, so the resolution to that surprised me, and was then upstaged by the set of twists and developments that followed.

I wasn't really surprised at the Tuskens' fate, but I think the scene is sufficiently poignant. I also like the sharp turn to Krrsantan's attack, which incidentally makes me think the Twins may have waited several days before making that move. It's kind of remarkable that quite a few plot points are covered in a fairly short duration, and yet the pace still doesn't feel too fast. It seems like there's still plenty left for the next four episodes, and I really like the air of uncertainty.

What could've felt faster, of course, is the chase scene, but that's been well covered. I have to give kudos for the meilooruns, though. :) Also, the Peli cameo is really well done, doing just enough to be noticeable.

If Mos Pelgo has one, Mos Espa certainly can.

There's no way the bacta tank is just a storytelling device. Boba had cancer in Legends and I suspect something like that is the deal here too.

No way. Dude has just gotta get up in that bacta! He paid a lot of money for it so he wants to get his money’s worth!

Side note: when Boba’s green pig guard was stuffed into the bacta you just know he’s dreaming of Ms. Piggy dressed up in Leia’s slave outfit! Shwing!

Both are miles better and at least have something to say, as opposed to Boba Fett, who rules with RESPECT, I guess. And Padmé + Satine have better action scenes than Boba + Fennec, ngl; and Mandalore is much more interesting visually than Tatooine.

I wonder if Green Lantern is a comic series in universe, they might dream about some of those piggies.

As for the Bacta tank. Really think it's cuz he's a clone. He may not have age acceleration but maybe his body is just breaking down, the Kaminoans didn't design it to last 80 years. Boba just doesn't have much resilience and doesn't heal well on his own for the same reason. Could also be folks can get addicted to the Bacta tank. Could be the only way he can sleep. No sleep aid in the Galaxy will get the job done so he just hops into the tank.

On one hand, that is actually quite surprising, because these two Clone Wars episodes are just fine. I don't even understand why they would receive so much hate. If anything, I would expect the Martez sisters episodes to have extremely low ratings (even though I liked them quite a bit).

On the other hand, that is an extremely small sample, we are talking about 50 votes. That number diminishes any legitimacy these numbers could have.

As Vader needing baths, I just assume that in the Star Wars universe they have extra troubles dealing with burn wounds for some reason.
Skin grafts aren't part of their technology. Nor is sorbolene cream.

Can't believe I missed this discussion...

Count me in as one of those who wasn't thrilled with many of the political episodes in the first half of The Clone Wars' third season during its first run. I still find both Corruption and The Academy to be about as far down the barrel as TCW goes. I honestly used to rank Senate Murders and Pursuit of Peace just a low. I found them boring. I will still happily watch the Blue Shadow Virus episodes first. I would probably watch the Martez sisters arc before those episodes. I maintain that arc is underrated although the final episode ruins it a bit. But I appreciated the season 3 political episode much more in subsequent viewings and even more now. Poison Tea is essential to Satine's character arc and the entire Mandalorian subplot. Pursuit of Peace is low-key one of the richest episodes in terms of connective tissue within the anthology series.

I suspect it will be a similar story with chapter 3 here just like it turned out to be with "The Gunslinger" which is one episode of The Mandalorian I remember the fandom jumping on as unfavorable and fillerish. Look at where that leads to. It snowballed into an entire show and we're only on episode 3. BTW, one of the worst-reviewed episodes of The Bad Batch, "Infested" has a lot of stuff going on in it that parallels what's going on here in The Book of Boba Fett. Granted it's like 30 years later and if you didn't know Fennic has cybernetic parts it would seem like she hasn't changed in the slightest.

I think all these episodes will be more important than we know yet and down the road will be looked at that way.

    It was a decent episode

    - loved the fight with Black Krrsantan!
    - with her tribe dead, Tusken Fennec will now reclaim her pre-tusken personage to get revenge with Fett
    - the Rancor was incredibly lame but I'm just happy it took 3 episodes for Favreau to give a sloppy fandjob
