Getting rid of internet in dorms would solve their problem, I would imagine.

 

Wow that's sad.

When I lived in co-ed dorms that had co-ed bathrooms with shower stalls, I always assumed the frequent drain blockages that I never experienced in male-only living situations were from all the long girl hairs that wound up in the drain. This thread forces me to question if the shower sex (the kind of act everyone resented other people for doing but which most everyone tried at least once) was perhaps at least partially to blame.

 

I'm calling shenanigans.

 

A friend of my brother's is a plumber and has had to tell more than one homeowner to stop ****ing it in the shower.

 

My Swiss flat mate had a threesome in the shower. I don't know how considering the showers we had were so small, and one of the girls with him was pretty chubby. Was good because someone set off the fire alarm while he was in the middle of it.

I would claim credit, but people would set off the fire alarm at least once a week, usually at 2am whilst it was snowing outside. Student dorms ugh.

 

Funny, I thought it would be tampons clogging the drains.

 

Uh, I find this rather hard (lol) to believe. It's not as though an individual guy produces a lot (don't mention porn stars you ****ing perverted nerds) and I assume that semen is pretty easily diluted by water. I'd imagine that soap and especially hair and anything an 18-year-old would flush down a toilet would be problems for plumbing long before some college guys' man juice.


So, stupid pranks?

Pretty sure semen is fairly water soluble like Guy said. It would take a lot of people masturbating in a constant rotation through the showers to do that kind of damage wouldn't it?

Not to mention the fact that such policies are offensively sexist as they clearly only affect male masturbators.

 

Given that the wording in the second notice is almost exactly the same as this one from an entirely different school, I'm lead to believe this is just some viral prank.

 

Yeah, also there's no way a University ever prints out a flyer with their logo on the same sheet of paper as "masturbating". Americans are too squeamish about this stuff to talk about it publicly like that. They'd probably just pay the plumbing bill and pretend nothing ever happened.

 

Clearly people need to be having more sex, so they'll stop masturbating.


Also, I agree with those who are less than believing of the factual nature of those fliers.

Same here. How can a plumbing system NOT handle a mucousy substance?

I mean, if it can handle fecal logs created from the hellish combination of fast food and campus commissary fare.....semen should be no problem.


I'm willing to wager that the real reason behind this is much more practical.....think of all of the hot water being wasted by someone spending a few extra minutes tugging Johnny One-eye.
University hitting a budget crunch tries to cut down wherever they can, including the utility bills.


Either that or they failed to mention that the semen was found inside of a flushed condom.

Second, I would like to clarify that I don't care if it's real or not, I mostly just like telling stories about co-ed bathroom life to the internet. Is that so wrong?
