Fanclub The Chewbacca and Han Solo Fan Club

I'm busy writing another story these days, so I don't think I would participate.

 

Sorry, RKS, but I don't write fanfic. Though, depending on what's going on with DRL when the contest is held, I might be able to help out in other ways if possible (like being the vote counter or helping to promote the contest in other threads).

 

I'm not planning on having a contest any time soon, so everybody can relax. I'm really glad I asked first though. Lol!

Talking Chewie is doing fine. He's laying on my bed next to Talking Yoda. They get along great.

What are some of your favorite Chewie and Han moments?

Well, of course I kind of love every line of dialogue both between these two and on their own - both are so full of character and, surprisingly, a lot of sass haha
But here are a few favorites of mine:

- When the whole group is jumping into the garbage disposal chute in the death star and Chewy's roaring/complaining, Solo goes "Get in there you big furry oaf, I don't care what you smell!' I just imagine what Chewbacca's saying, like "I don't wanna man, it smells!"
- Of course, Han Solo's "I know" line in response to Leia's "I love you". I want to have the much confidence to say that to someone. Like "Yeah, I'm awesome. You love me, I see it. Get in line." Haha
- When Chewy and Solo are flying around the death star and Solo tells Chewy: "Keep your distance but don't look like you're keeping your distance. - I don't know. Fly casual."
Really I love any moment where you feel like: these guys don't know what they're doing, they're just along for the ride, kicking ass casually.
Oh and when Han Solo shoots the intercom of the station the squad's taken over after he can't hold up his impersonation of someone death star-official, and tells Luke "We're gonna have company!" It's just something I would totally do and be like - "Uh, uh" *shoot intercom* "there you go, problem solved"

Thanks. Though... I had wondered if the eyes of the characters in the image were a little too scoundrel-esque for the Fanclub walls.

 

That particular trait is what makes me a fan!

If you love Chewie, that's enough. Some are fans of Han, some of Chewie, and others love both SW characters. That's all the qualifications you need to become a member.

 

I appreciate both. Maybe even more precisely their relationship together is probably what I enjoy most. I was pondering the other day after first posting in the Fanclub what I like about Chewie & Han, and how interesting it is as part of the audience to observe two friends when one of them we are unable to understand and depend instead upon his body language, non-verbal cues and Han's translations and responses in order to put all of the pieces together. It makes it much more subtle than an ordiniary movie duo. This is like.
