    -------------------------------------

Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a few days before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced.

    (3) The Clone Wars episodes air on Friday on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (4) Spoilers like character deaths, appearances, and major plot details must be spoiler tagged in the new episode thread prior to the episode television air date.

    (5) Do not post any preview video clips from the individual episode in the episode threads.

    (6) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (7) Do not discuss future episodes in here.

    (8) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

I like your choice of screen cap @Todd the Jedi. This is the point where I'd usually say its Clone Wars eve again but this must be how it would feel like to be waiting on Krampus instead of Santa. Dreadfully exciting.

I'm trying to temper my expectations in case this is 22+ minutes of setup though I''m cool with going dialogue-heavy for those feels. But there is so much ground to cover and I'm expecting a quick pace to things. Pacing is still my biggest concern. We shall see, I'm expecting the red title card and that didn't fail me in the season 4 finale. Apparently a bad omen is a blue title card.

    I have one word:

    Incredible.

(My only complaint is no canon Battle of Coruscant depiction outside of Episode III, but on the plus side, the Micro series and Shaak Ti's rescue are referenced directly, so those events still more or less happen. Adding it now would require a total rewrite of this arc. This was clearly never planned back in 2012, so it won't be here now... save maybe a tiny cameo next episode or something.)

This episode was just unbelievable. One if not THE best Star Wars ever told, I'm not even exaggerating. This a level of quality that I honestly never thought we would see from the clone wars.

Also this episode just brought the "Rook Kast is Sabine's mom" back to life for me. The moment I saw Rook Kast I had to do a double take because I literally thought that was Sabine standing there lol

Outstanding. This episode was definitely worth the wait. If the rest of the episodes are of a similar quality, than we're in for a real treat.

Man, Obi-wan sure was a pushover when it came to the whole "100 year-old treaties are really, really, really important and I will not break them without the express permission of the Jedi Council" thing.

Aside from that bit of goofiness though, what a fun ride of an episode.

I’m 2 minutes in, it’s already had more amazing moments that the whole of the last arc! Hell, even the story reel clips were better!

The irony of this is that Sabine's actual mom is also in this episode working for Bo.

Was the animation upgraded for this arc specifically?

that was AWESOME, we are essentially getting a new two hour Star Wars movie.

only complaint was Ahsoka acting sort of cold when it came to “coruscant is under attack”, and Obi-Wan saying “you should know that this is a pivotal moment in the Clone Wars!” Did he go on Wookieepedia?

I agree. There wasn't one moment that didn't fit or felt wasted.

One thing I noticed was that albeit the reunion was great, the scene with Ahsoka and her dying Captain was what really got me. That was so emotional, especially because they knew each other for ... what? A day?

The only thing I found strange was Ahsoka calling herself Fulcrum in front of Anakin. But well, Anakin forgets fast, so why should Vader check this one out later.

it seems so that the animation was upgraded and I agree. Ahsoka literally just came from Coruscant and is not so distraught that her new friends Trace and Rafa are in mortal danger, ha.

The battle in the beginning was on the planet Nelvaan, honoring the Microseries. Same planet they were called to Coruscant from on that show too.

Afraid not. The planet is called "Yerbana".

But worry not. The 2003 microseries is directly honored by mentioning Shaak Ti and Mace's pursuit of Grievous. Maybe we'll even see them next week. Nelvaan will have to be earlier in a hypothetical timeline which somehow includes the microseries.
