    It was first told in the History of the Mandalorians article in SW Inisder, IIRC, and later expanded in other sources. Traviss didn't write the article, retcon maestro Abel Pena did. The Boba Fett claim was meant to explain the original Marvel Boba/Clon Wars backstory in light of AOTC's new Boba origin info. Traviss has apparently changed aspects of the Spar/Boba thing in her recent works, from I'm told, though.

    One thing I thought -- the commando droid who meets Cody and Rex on the platform reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates, what with the weird motions and all. I kept expect him to say, "Savvy?"

    I'll go on later with my raptures over Cody and Rex. I think these two are the best things the new series has going for it.

    I agree. This chapter really shows Rex as the Anakin clone equivalent and Cody as the Obi-Wan clone equivalent. I hope they pick up on that more in future chapters, it got a bit forgotten in the rest of the season.
