So he just meant to say 'that doesn't sound like a holocron'.

As for types of holocrons, I'm aware of the typical design that you described. An interactive learning tool must be advantageous for the Jedi. However, I like the fact that they've introduced a new type, for who's to say a holocron can't be used for storage alone.

The list of Jedi hopefuls is a good choice for the episode. It doesn't get more important than that, so there's a conveyance of urgency to get it back.

Yes, they are those types and they are also personal diaries of sorts for some Jedi...but there are also what they call data holocrons which may be what this one is.

And I was thinking along that same angle too...Sids setting the Jedi up to make them look bad in the eyes of the general public at large to sort of show that they will eventually 'betray' the Republic. What better way to do that than to show that they steal children. But accroding to the Wook, he wants to turn them into spies.

I should have initially put that highlight to read...my bad! Although you can find it in Cad Bane's article in Wookieepedia.

Edit: No problem...it was my fault.[face_peace]

Doh! Thanks for the heads up.

I went back to highlight my question but a mod got to it first.

    Please accept my apologies.

Meh, not a bounty hunter fan, and hated the last episode of the first season, but then, I'm a Jedi fan, so I don't like to see them lose, but this episode is hopefully likely going to be very good. Either way, its going to be so awesome having new Star Wars almost every Friday again. I just wish the Blu-ray of season one was out already, but just another month until that. Here's to another awesome season of Clone Wars.

I don't think you'll be dissappointed, the animation has improved by leaps and bounds since season one.

No need to apologize, the LACWAC mods understand that the spoiler lines are a bit blurred and confusing regarding this TV show, it's easy to mistake a spoiler for this episode to a spoiler for another future one. Let's all just try our best to keep spoilers in their right place.

I figure that if you're walking into a spoiler thread that is actually titled as such, you're doing it at your own risk. Whether or not anyone's using the blackout is secondary.

At any rate, I'm starting to wonder where all the bounty hunters have gone off to. I doubt Aurra, Bossk, Sugi, Embo, etc etc etc are in this... they're not on the character roster, and we've not seen them on many (if any) commercials, aside from reused Ep. 22 footage for Aurra. Are Cato and Bane doing this alone?

I don't think so. It has been stated that Sidious will provide help for them. And there is a unkown guy disguised as a Jedi in the Archives. The one who punches Jocasta.

Let's be crystal clear on this again, since we're beginning Season Two tonight. Remember that the episode threads simply state that you cannot mention anything beyond this episode.

Barriss and others are correct - if you're coming into this episode thread, there WILL be plot/character/locale/whatever spoilers about the episode.

It is certainly courteous to black-highlight material that might not be well-known or is critical to the episode, but it is not required.

If anything regarding a future episode comes up, it must be black-highlighted or discussed in the general thread.

Can't wait for tonight, its seems like forever since the last episode!! Is cartoon network airing 2 episodes? I know Canada only gets one ep tonight, but thats more than enough seeing as how we've had no new eps for the last 7 months :p.

From what I've seen of Holocron Heist's plot, I'm fairly confident this season will surpass the last by massive proportions. Nothin' wrong with that. ;)

Are you sure? I was positive the Teletoon commercial said "1 hour of new Clone Wars on Friday".

Edit: Yup, according to the online schedule. That's absolutely idiotic.

So they can have 3 hours straight of old TCW from Season 1, but can't block off 1 hour for the Season 2 premiere? Idiotic.

Oh, I understand UK fans' frustration, to be sure.

But in some ways this is worse because they could show both episodes like our sisters to the south, but simply choose not to. [face_sick]

Yeah, that is stupid...and at least people in the UK have some way of watching it and of course you can wait to watch it online too. You know, I'll laugh out loud again if it comes up 'The World Premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2 starts now!'[face_laugh]

Or has this show gotten really, really, really ridiculously good looking?

Hey folks. The updated episode guide is now online. Don't read it till you see the episode, though.

    http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/guide/episode201.html

The commentary video short will be up in another three hours or so. Darn time zones.

The episodes will stream on StarWars.com on Mondays after the broadcast.

Thanks Pabs - but only to US viewers still, right? Doesn't help the rest of us. [face_peace]

    Thoughts on the episode:

    - animation looks fantastic

    - god Ahsoka is annoying. Is she going to disobey another direct order, this time from Kenobi, a Council member? Guess she learned nothing from the Ryloth arc.

    - except for Kit Fisto walking towards the Vault entrance - looks like he was half limping, half sashaying! [face_laugh]

    - Bane seems pretty cool. I like the relationship between him and TODO (Toto the little dog?)

    - Not my favorite episode. I know you always have to take heist movies with many grains of salt, but there's just too many problems I think:

    - completely unlikely Bane & TODO could just waltz up to the edge of the Jedi Temple without anyone talking to them, particularly after the events of Hostage Crisis.

    - why does the Changeling know how to access the Archives security features? Why does the Changeling know how to fight with a lightsaber? I know they talk about how she's not as skilled as Jocasta (ha!), but a normal person using a lightsaber would be poodoo in about 5 seconds.

    - why wouldn't the Jedi consider the Holocrons a potential target? Even if they don't know who Sidious is, they know for sure Dooku is Dark Side, and had access to the Archives.

    - ballsy of Bane to walk out of the Temple wearing a Jedi Robe, but again, hard to believe none of the other Jedi present would "sense" something in the Force.

    - I like the ventilation shafts, totally reminds me of playing Jedi Knight.

    - oh, and Plo Koon kicked butt in the beginning.

She did what?! Disobeyed Obi-Wan? Is she trying to get on my bad side? ;)

Thank you for letting me know before I watched. Without the warning, I might've started yelling at the TV like I did during RotS. "Anakin, you idiot!" and other colorful expressions. I still might yell, but at least I know what I'm in for now. [face_laugh]

Yes, definitely not the better of the episodes I guess because it didn't have the intense action of Cargo of Doom, but it had the proper amount of suspense for me(even though I was spoiled somewhat.)

Hmmm, perhaps Cato recieved some training in lightsaber combat, although as Ahsoka pointed out, she didn't have Nu's skills.(Not to mention it was a pretty cool duel) And it's possible she has technical knowledge of security systems and she may have been able to access them that way.

And what was up with Anakin and Obi-Wan? The communications center? Yoda could sense they were there, but not Bane's intentions? Hmmm, interesting, but you have to admit, Bane and TODO were cool slinking about the temple shafts and their interactions with each other were amusing.

And is it just me, or does Bane look good in a Jedi robe...he must have since he was able to sneak past several council level Jedi Masters with holocron in hand. Ballsy indeed!:p

And Ahsoka...ugggh! But she was certainly put in her place!

WHY did they need to go to Felucia? Is this like the third or fourth time they've been there now? There's like a million planets in the galaxy, but all of this fighting takes place on like... three. 9_9
