-I think were going to be seeing a lot of Waxer and Boyle, I feel like we'll be seeing them a lot whenever missions are going on with Obi-Wan and Cody. Hopefully they don't meet Denal's fate.

-Really enjoyed the Galactic Marines Phase 1 armor, of what we saw of Commander Jet I enjoyed. Sadly I don't think we'll see him for long as something has to make the way for Commander Bacara

-The animation was just amazing, I couldn't believe just how smooth everything was, from the background shots of clones, droids and geonosians getting killed to the scratches on Obi-Wan's face and the dirt getting on the clothes.

-Captain Rex is a stud, that is all.

-They got us actually fearing for the lives of the Jedi, if we didn't know better(we all know they will live) I'd actually be worried.

-Also just with this episode is tightens the bond between the clones and the Jedi, how close they get during this war. Which makes Order 66 that much more emotional.

Epic. That is all I can say. Epic. This episode was AMAZING! Can't wait for the next episode.

So is TCW going back to its normal Friday premieres instead of Wednesday?

Very enjoyable episode. I was excited for this one--even though I was a little worried by the prospect of an all-action episode--and it certainly did not disappoint.

Probably my favorite moment was at the beginning when Anakin and Obi-Wan were lightly ribbing each other and Luminara just steps in like, "Will you two shut up so we can go?!" That gave me a good chuckle.

Also, I loved the animation on Obi-Wan's face at the very beginning when he senses Anakin behind him and he just says, "You're late" without needing to turn around. Nicely done.

Another cool moment was when Ahsoka was worried for Obi-Wan and Anakin says he's worried too, but she needs to focus on the present (or something to that effect). He was sounding very Qui-Gon Jinn. I really liked that.

Ahsoka was great in this episode. Her and Anakin had a nice, playful banter without being annoying or distracting. Even the use of the dreaded 'Snips' nickname didn't bother me. I'm gonna have to eat a lot of crow on the day I start liking Ahsoka. ;)

Some of the fighting kind of drug on a bit and I found myself fast forwarding on the TiVo a little, but other than that, it was a fun episode and I'm definitely looking forward to next week. This Geonosis arc will be fun to watch back-to-back.

It seemed to me that a lot of people wanted the action, and I'd say they got it.

    My thoughts on the episode..

-It did have the cool Star Wars battles. I think it was the biggest and most detailed yet on showing the war. They are expanding the animation. It feels more vast.

-One part of the battle looked kind of cheap, where there's a distant shot of Anakin and the others running and all this stuff is happening around and in front of the camera. Like they were trying to cram too much into this episode.

-Anakin and Ahsoka's number competition. I thought it was annoying and immature, and a bit.. troubling? In the beginning they're bragging about how many kills they made[face_plain]. And Obi-Wan treats it like 'Oh they're just playing'. Boy the war really is changing the Jedi.

-Good to hear Obi-Wan actually raise his voice. And see his face dirty and scratched up. Nice, people actually got dirty and scratched up in the battles.

-Do Jedi really need Batman-like equipment to climb things like that? If they use the Force to land why not use it to get up? Ahh never mind..

-Ki-Adi-Mundi, he looks OK. I like how he's gotten a sort of catchphrase thing going on: "Come on!" "We must pursue!" "We must push forward!" And despite not liking the whole competition thing, I liked his bit at the end with Anakin. "I beat you. So what do I win?" I think that saved him from being a bland character.

-I'm not sure what the fortune cookie was talking about.. Anakin's confidence about the wall?

-That moment with Obi-Wan wounded and sitting down alone was a nice disquieting moment for him. It's like 'Poor Obi-Wan, he's getting old.' Quiet moments amongst the action are good.

-I thought this would've been a good way to introduce the show as the first episode of the whole series. It really says 'clone wars' to me.

I thought it may have been droids they were talking about, but doesn't Ahsoka distinctively use the word 'kill'?

It didn't bother me when it was just droids...but Kundi fought Geonosisians mostly, not droids. And those are sentient beings so that does seem a little....off...

though admittedly I didn't mind much when Gimili and Legolas did it...and they counted humans too.

WOW- visually stunning episode, and the battle was quite detailed. LOVED Rex's pojnt-blank Droideka kill.

Also, this episode clearly makes one wonder why the hell didn't we have Y-Wings in the prequels!?

Yeah, they pretty much treated the Geonosians like pest control. I agree with someone who said they probably could'nt have gotten away with that if they'd looked more human. But it is a war, and the Jedi aren't really playing the part of peaceful monks here. They'll kill if they think it's necessary. I just don't like if it's made into some kind of competitive game.

The official episode guide stated that sequence was taken from The Longest Day. I've seen that scene in TLD and it's definitely an homage to it.

Man, what a terrific episode. Definitely the best animation thus far. And probably the best direction, too. I think Trespass may still be my favorite episode, though. Still, this was fantastic. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with an all action episode. It worked great with Samurai Jack. They just can't overdo them. Having it come after an episode like Senat Spy seems like the right way to do it.

One thing about Clone Wars, both old series, current series, comics, etc, that I don't understand... Who's painting these designs on the gunships? Did Jango Fett have some artistic ability that got reproduced in the clone genetics, or are they bringing artists in? Is the Republic footing the bill for unnecessary detailing on warships likely to last less than one battle?

Great episode animation was great and its nice after senate spy which was boring to have something with so much action. The olny thing I did not like was using the flame throwers against the Geos I mean we've seen alot with star wars but that seemed for me at least to cross a line.

By far my favorite episode of Season 2 right now. I love Ki-Adi's casual "65" response. And then seeming somewhat disappointed at what he wins. [face_laugh]

The direction in this episode was definitely a step above what we usually get- from simpler shots like the holograms fading out as Rex and Cody arrive on the bridge, to the camera swiveling or pivoting around Kenobi (or was it Anakin?) as Ahsoka and Ani/Obi alternate dialogue.

Well, we've had people on fire before (Anakin, the ejecting TIE Pilot and many Rebel pilots in their cockpit), people who were previously on fire (Owen and Beru) and people who narrowly avoided being set on fire (Mace via Jango- though his cloak did get on fire). This falls within that spectrum, I think.

The phrase he used was "Copy", as in the number of lines a character has, referring to the incredibly long monologue he had:

Rex: blah blah blah droid factory blah-cakes...crazy-long block-of-text..."and please note in future episodes that I can handle mass amounts of copy, Rex out"

Narrator: "the room is quiet...I wonder why"

Obi-Wan:"I believe that's the most we've ever heard Rex speak"

    Rex: "It is sir"

    Obi-wan: "Who said that?"

Rex: "I wasn't really out when I said I was, Sir, but now I'm out"

I disagree completely on it being "a bit too much."

It's war. You'll take any advantage you can get.

Hah, i guess hat makes sense too. I thought he was making a joke about coffee (regarding the long recon), as he held up his coffee cup when he said the one follow-up comment.

I think a number of times you see Clones charging there are a number of stock phrases that the team uses instead of having the VA say the things over and over again (why it seems like all but a few only say a few words(though I'm pretty sure most know that)).

I've scene some dogging on Anakin and Ahsoka's game. I interpret it as them finding a way to cope with the war. Add to that they are only "killing" droids up to this episode (where geonosians jump in) I have no problem with it.

WOW, WHAT A GREAT EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D= Totally cool, and its about time we see some droid poppers again! They must be really expensive or something lol, or you'd think we would see more of them. I really like how they showed this as a battle with casualties with a seemingly uncertian outcome instead of Jedi just slaughtering droids while making jokes & stuff. It really felt real. Animation was top notch, this show is getting & looking better every week.

I still dont understand the reason for putting this episode on wed??? I mean its kinda weird to say its because of the season 1 DVD release. (which sadly I dont have yet:_| ) I mean the fans that have the box set are most likely spending their after work / school time rewatching season 1 & have plenty of episodes still to watch so why interupt that with a new episode in mid week? Im not complaining about it & it was great to see it early, just dont understand how this was thought to be a good idea.
