I'm looking forward to seeing Grievous ride a Reek. I liked the Reek in AOTC, and I was hoping to see one again...

On the other hand, I'm not looking forward to another scantily clad Twi'lek woman. I don't care whether or not I'm a "prude" by anyone's standards. In my eyes, the show suffers with each new episode with a new half-naked female... My opinion.

I sure hope this episode turns out to be awesome. And, in case anyone is wondering, I hope there's no human + Twi'lek hybrid kids...

So, human Twilek Babies? This explains everything!

Now I know why Traviss left SW Lit! She wanted to make a story surrounding Atin and Laseema's marital woes about not having kids.

Still, those are some creepy looking children.

I don't think the Twi'lek children are Twi'lek/Human crossbreeds. Just because their skin colour is like that of a human's doesn't mean anything. For example, Rianna Saren was a Twi'lek with a skin tone like a human's. Maybe the pink Twi'lek had kids with a guy who was of that skin colour? And maybe blue skin tone was a recessive gene in one of the two Twi'leks, and a mutation caused the mixed colour in one of the little girls? [face_thinking]

Hee. This has become such a hotly debated topic, and it will probably be answered within seconds when the episode airs. Or will it? It would be kind of hilarious if they just plain didn't say!

BTW, I did go back and look at the Ryloth episodes, and there are definitely some wildly divergently-colored Twi'leks huddled together in what seem very much like family groups (head on each other's shoulders and such), so we still don't have that one solved.

But they are. It has already been stated that Cut has a family. You just have to gather the pieces. Anyway, The episode will confirm it.

Some people have pointed out that it's possible that the kids are adopted, and I think it's equally possible, though a less clear-cut explanation than the cross-breeding thing. It's possible that Cut and his partner took in a couple of orange-hued Twi'lek children, and like others might say, the immature lekkus are a sign of age, not genetics. Maybe even malnourishment.

Even if the schedules wonky, I have to say that these episodes look like they might make it all worth it. :D

Wouldn't the hybrid be a little old to be the kid of a clone... even with advanced aging passed down... but man THAT would be a cool issue for the show to explore.

Seriously, there is so much they could explore with the whole slavery issue and the clones being forced/bred to fight I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg. Would LOVE to see a show where the Jedi explore how they feel about this... giving their beliefs how can it sit well with them? And why isn't anyone exploring WHY the Sith would create an army for them... or do they just believe Master Sifo-Dyas did it and then died before telling them?

PSI noticed that one of the members of the Twi'Lek resistance actually looks a lot like the kid: Human colored skin with blue lekku. Apparently it is just something Twi'leks have.

From what I know Sifo-Dias foresaw fighting coming, ordered the clone army, then was killed by Dooku, who took over the army for Sidious and commissiond Jango Fett to be the prime clone. The Jedi thought the army was Sifo-Dias' doing.

At first I assumed the children to be Twilek/Human crossbreds, but their ages don't match up. If this story takes place in the first year of the Clone Wars, Cut's children would be babies. They are obviously not. [face_alien_1]

Enjoyable episode. Unfortunately... it sure prevents much tension from building up when you know certain characters can't die or even be captured. I guess maybe the kids (who are maybe too young to be able to make that kind of connection) can watch an episode like this and wonder if Grievous will be captured. But the rest of us know he can't be captured. We know he can't fight Anakin, etc. So you just sit there and wait to see how he makes his inevitable escape.

I think they need to create some more villains ala Bane that can be captured/killed and a few more Jedi that can suffer serious fates. Would dramatically increase the tension.

Friggin loved this ep! I give a 9/10!

    The good:
    Lots of Clones.
    Grievous.
    Reek.
    Cut's wife.
    Creepy commandos on a farmland.
    Rex looked like Prof. Xavier.
    Obi-wan has a rivalry.

    The bad:
I totally didn't buy it when those kids were talking.
    Was that Clone named Jesse?!
    No dramatic ending.

No preview for the 3 weeks! What the hell! WTF! Cartoon Network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did they reveal whether or not the kids were half-Twilek/half-human? And what's Cut's wife's name? I don't have CN, so I didn't get to see the episode. :(

The question is how does Cut have kids that old? It can't be more than a year after Geonosis, and according to the episode guide they're 5 and 4.

Also, funny how back at the beginning of this thread people were talking about how we only see women in revealing outfits in Star Wars...and then there's shirtless Rex right here in the episode. [face_laugh]

Very very very awesome episodes. Brilliant way to start the new year. But ANOTHER break? Come on... By this time last year TCW was already at its 11th episode. Too many breaks this season...

The main flaw of this episode is there isn't enough time to really flesh out the concept of a clone deserter and the issue of whether the clones have any real rights. That being said, this was a very good episode that introduces an interesting dynamic with the clones. A Rex episode is always a good thing and I liked the Deserter (can't remember his name). I loved the design of the planet and the farm.

Funny stuff too with Grievous and the clones.

The Deserter wasn't a very good father though. There are clones and droids running around the planet and he's like "Sure, kids, you can play outside!" Looks like time away from the Grand Army has degraded his common sense.

My thought was he's not the birth father, he's the step-father. If they are his kids, I would explain their age as being a result of the clone's accellerated aging.

And another good episode. They seem to be on a roll since Brain Invaders.

-Some cool atmospheres, especially in the beginning. All the lands and plants and the sky..

-There's a clone named Jesse? And ugh, golden haired clone.

-With all the talk about revealing clothes on females, here's a shirtless Rex.[face_laugh]Guess I'm not the first to notice.

-I like the design for Cut. Good dialogue with him and Rex talking about clone's beliefs.=D=

-Funny scene with the droids losing power and complaining about not getting to ride with Grievous, so, of course the General slashes one right there. 'Anymore complaints?' 'Uh no no no!..Yikes!'

-Stupid, annoying Twi'lek-human kids. I find it kind of funny how different the little Twi'lek girl's clothes are, especially compared to her mother's. Her dress looks like something from last century.

-And yet again, Grievous escapes. 'Jedi scum!'

Cool episode, I liked how it focused more on Rex and Cut's story than Obi-Wan and Grievous. But no sneak peek at the next episode..[face_thinking]

I enjoyed the episode, but I didn't like the ending.

I was hoping the entire time I was watching it that Cut would be killed by the commando droids, and Rex, feeling slightly responsible for his death, deserts the clone army and adopts his children.

And that was one hot twi'lek housewife. Wow. No wonder he left the army.

I was very satisfied with this episode. Better than Grievous Intrigue, but both episodes were strong.

Having successfully avoided spoilers for both episodes, I actually thought they had killed off Rex at first...but then he turned out to be ok. I still spent the rest of the episode fearing that the deserter would die.

I love exploring the clone/freedom/ethics type issues. This episode did a great job of it, and I felt like they devoted enough time to the issue--it didn't feel rushed or swept under the rug, like in Hidden Enemy.

On the downside, I think I have officially lost interest in General Grievous. He just isn't captivating to me as a villain anymore. I would much rather see more of Bane or Ventress, or even Dooku and Sidious. Or some other separatist leaders like Gunray.

And most people are wondering about Lawquane being a father to the Twi'lek kids. That is his adopted family, as is pointed out in the episode guide. So he is a step-father to them.

I posted this in the wrong thread.

I have to admit the Twi'lek kids were adorable. I thought those two kids were going to be part of an episode that would take place on Ryloth. As for the coloration, I thought they might be wearing make-up or mud or something to imitate humans.

This presented an aspect not often seen in the cartoon - the perspective of the bystanders. Those who get caught in the crossfire. We saw some of that in the Innocents of Ryloth.
