She can be undercover without pretending to be a Mandolorian.

For example, many CIA agents do not hide that they are American. They just go undercover as American businessmen or American diplomats or American traitors or something.

Similarly, I think she is going in undercover as in her official mission (to teach the cadets) is not her real mission (to look for corruption).

A single main character can deal with any problem, no matter how widespread, by investigating a single lead. Well known fact.

Jedi are technically part of the Police (Judicial) Department, and these are Mando cops. I am sure there is some overlap somewhere.

Captain: I starting to worry about you burning everything down.
    Satine: Burn the witch!

I see your point, but Padme was elected as queen, and her family were farmers before that. Her current post is also elective. We don't know about Satine, but given how individualistic Mandolorian culture is, I doubt her position is hereditary either.

You may think me silly, but I can't help wondering how you manage to misspell someone's name when you're quoting them. :p

As I watch this, I'm guessing Almec's the robed figure. it would fit with what he thought of the sickness and corruption. He doesn't care because he's a big part of it. But that's my guess.

Also, I know it's not going to happen, but I really wished the next epsiode, S3E7 would feature Anakin and Rex teaming up with Master Fisto, to keep continuaty.

    I guess I was right.

Who else liked this as much as I did? This is my third favorite episode this season, after ARC Troopers, and Clone Cadets. It was much better than Corruption.

    Honestly, something isn't right.

I knew that prime minister was going to be the traitor during the episode. It was the giveaway of the episode. I think this was not the best episode, and probably the episode I did not enjoy so far this season. I'm going to be simply honest with this, Ahsoka was such a poor addition to the episode. I don't understand why she said she was "overly qualified" to teach those kids. She's a Mary Sue. She even showed this within the episode. Not only that, I felt I couldn't understand the majority of the episode, since it brought up a lot of questions. A lot of "who, what, huh." I was struggling to accept Ahsoka as some player in he episode. I knew she would save the day at the end. When Ahsoka "pretended" to arrest those kids, I thought that was some potential story twist that could have worked. If Ahsoka was tricked, and that made her look like a fool, and she had to accept what she decided, I would have been fine with that. It would've showed a fault within her character, which is rarely seen. But, no, they went ahead and told us indirectly that was some plan. That ending was a disappointment as well. That prime minister turned out to be your typical TCW villain; someone who gets caught at the end, and can never follow through with anything.

How about Ahsoka's little holographic reveal?

I don't get it. Also, I turned off the TV as soon as that guard slowly walked up to that kid. I knew Ahsoka was going to save the day, so that wasn't a big "shocker" moment. Overall, could have been better. Was slow, and I knew that guy was the treason prime minister.

Ok, so, I already predict the major thing many will complain about is Ahsoka arrogantly commenting that she's overqualified for the mission less than a minute in.

Well, while I admit my jaw hit the floor when I heard that as well, I must admit it made me think about Obi-Wan's comment in Episode II about how Anakin's power was making him arrogant. Reasonable then it would be for us to assume that some of that arrogance would rub off on Ahsoka. That wasn't exactly a chastisement he gave her when she said it. He blamed the Jedi Council for it instead. Also, anyone else find it a little interesting that she's so quick to slap a torture device onto somebody and use it on them without blinking?

The episode itself was interesting. My problem is I tend to analyze everything and try to draw all possible conclusions from what I'm seeing so part of me was wondering if they weren't going to pull a complete 180 and make Satine the corrupt official and the Prime Minster the good guy. But no, our first instincts were correct. it was the Prime Minster, but I bet that first scene in Satine's apartment made at least a few people wonder.

Speaking of Satine, I guess it's now established that she's the most powerful person on Mandalore. I wonder if perhaps it isn't something along the lines of the Constitutional Monarchy that the UK has. It would be interesting to know more.

It was probably my imagination, or maybe the big screen, but it seemed to me Ahsoka's movements were more smooth and fluid than perhaps they once were...but it's hard to tell. Also, did anyone notice in Satine's apartment after it had been wrecked, there was dripping water next to a dead guard. Very, very small, minor touch, but it helped lend itself to the wreckage.

Overall, most kids will love this episode if for no other reason than we had a bunch of children like them being active, fighting the bad guys and doing some good. For older fans, perhaps a more mixed reaction. For me, I'll place it...as my 4th favorite so far.

I liked the prison showdown at the end, but the rest was kinda "eh". It felt like a Jedi Apprentice book and not in a good way.

I was impressed by the range of expression on Ahsoka's face, though- the animation has definitely improved. This episode she sports her most extreme expressions so far (especially when the Prime Minister shows up in the prison for the trap).

The cube prison was also a neat design- though...how do prisoners go to the bathroom in there? [face_laugh]

I'm glad someone else brought it up. The normal cells are one thing, but the maximum security cell looks a little...isolated.

I owe GG an apology...that was as bad as he thought it was going to be. Worse even.

Usually I am one of the more positive people here, but I honestly have nothing good to say about the episode. Except that the fight scenes were well choreographed.
Oh, and the guards pretending to be mindtricked was pretty good.

First off, the opening speech: I don't know whether to laugh or cry: have these kids honestly never heard of the word corruption? What kind of education are they getting?

The kids didn't get enough personality to really care about them.

Almec being clichéd evil...how is this the same guy who was firmly on her side last season?

Speaking of people acting out of character: Satine. She was freaking out about this huge last episode, and then acts like this?

Has everyone been replaced by Crokes again?

Not to mention Almec's actions didn't make sense. He could have just taken the evidence and given the kids a reassuring pat on the back, and kept out with his food ring.

Just a bad, bad episode. Anakin can't fight without his lightsaber, but Ahsoka sure can. Terrible characters, acting out of character, when they actually had some character.

Was I the only one that when it was mentioned Fisto was waiting for Anakin, I instantly wished we could see what they were doing instead?

My favorite episode since Supply Lines to be honest. I liked how they had to pull Anakin and Ahsoka out of the frontlines and Anakin, Kit Fisto and Rex fighting together would of been pretty awesome. What a tease. :p

Episode was pretty straight forward, most of us knew it was Almec thanks to subtle hint of the last episode or the preview for this episode after Corruption. The name "Corky" gave me a good chuckle when I first heard it, I didn't like them outrunning those guards though. I'm pretty sure Mandolorian guards in top shape would be able to catch a couple of kids before they got to the door.

Ahsoka wasn't as bad as I thought she was going to be to be honest. The massacre in Satine's room was beautifully done and the animation continues to amaze me. Still though nothing too special happened, I might of liked it more due to the amount of political heavy episodes we've been getting.

There was nothing subtle about this or last episode. The writing was all over the walls. There was no mystery, no surprise.

I swear, Sym-Bionic Titan (best show on the CW, in my opinion) and Generator Rex are going to get me watching this show weekly because I can't be bothered to change the channel. [face_laugh]

This episode was...decent. Ahsoka's comment about Obi-Wan made me smile. I don't know if it was sarcasm like, "Yeah, he's always causing trouble, isn't he?" or if it was disbelief like, "Uh...that doesn't sound like the Master Kenobi I know. Are you guys sure?" I can't exactly tell. At first I thought it was the latter, but based on Anakin's reaction, it could've been the former. I'll blame the voice acting on that one.

The ending was just a tad bit messy and rushed for my taste, but I'll chalk that up to having to deal with the half-hour format than the writing. There's a lot of story to pack into 22 minutes and I'll give the writers props for making it fit to the best of their ability.

The Mandos kept calling Ahsoka a Jedi Knight and Master Jedi and that made me twitch every time, but again, I'll give the Mandalorians the benefit of the doubt. Master, Padawan, Knight: it doesn't matter. A Jedi is a Jedi to them. Good characterization there.

I can say that I was rolling my eyes with Ahsoka's Jedi Mind Trick...until it didn't work. Very, very well done by the writers. It shows that while Ahsoka is a very capable Jedi Padawan and she's quite intelligent and cunning and she definitely can handle herself in a fight, she's still very naive about certain things, which is how it should be.

This episode, to me, redeemed Ahsoka in a huge way. Speaking as someone who couldn't stand her in the film and season one, this episode showed her strengths and weaknesses in a good, balanced way. This was Ahsoka's best episode to date. However, I still don't like her interaction with Anakin. There's just something about it. It feels...forced? I don't know. I adore Anakin and I can say that I like Ahsoka, but I just don't like them together. I can't even begin to explain why.

With that said, the whole corruption story-line bored me a bit. I don't have a lot invested in the Mandos--never cared about them either way--so I didn't really care about whether or not the corruption would be found out or not. I'm kinda meh on Satine. I appreciate and respect her feelings in regards to her planet and I love how she doesn't take any crap and how powerful she is as a person, but her personality is just...meh. Her interaction with her nephew showed more of her human side, but I feel like I need to see more of that to connect with her more.

Whoops, I've typed too much, lol.

This episode just affirmed why I dislike the character. Anakin loses his lightsaber, he suddenly can't do a thing. Ahsoka loses her saber, suddenly she is Jackie Chan.

I was glad those mind tricks didn't work. She's too overpowered as is. Even her little statement "overly qualified" was a punch in the face to the audience. I find it that they are feeding us or putting more fuel to the fire, which is the Ahsoka bashers. For me, I'm not a big negative person toward Ahsoka, but I want her character to be over written and for her to just be a normal Padawan. Maybe some advanced skills, but don't go overboard and claim her to be the most powerful Padawan ever. It sounds like she's the chosen one, over Anakin. He can just take a back seat then. Her Mary Sue persona needs to end.

Subtle as in the little hint that Almec was the traitor in the last episode after the conversation Padme, Satine and Almec had. As another poster put it, "Almec has corruption written all over his face."

The hints were never subtle. Even at the beginning of this episode you could tell why he didn't want her to have the weapon without even having to see the last episode.

That's unfair though. Ahsoka was going up against regular Mandolorian guards. While Anakin was going up against trained bounty hunters. Also if those bounty hunters were with Bane they must of been pretty decent to say the least. Not to mention Anakin was doing fine up until blubber brain shocked him from the back. Ahsoka was fighting against Mandolorian guards with shields and batons with NO blasters.

After the kids were defeated by the guards, Ahsoka channeled her Mary Sue to defeat them in one scope. I don't understand your meaning of while Anakin Skywalker cannot defeat bounty hunters, Ahsoka can easily defeat a bunch of guards.

Agreed. However, I think that's more of a negative on how they handled Anakin more than Ahsoka. With Anakin, they took the whole, "this weapon is your life" thing a bit too far. Basic hand-to-hand combat shouldn't be that difficult for a Jedi, but they needed to incapacitate Anakin somehow for the story, so they gimped him a bit.

If Obi-Wan could hold his own against Jango Fett without his lightsaber, surely Anakin should've been able to do the same.
