Yoda cautioning Anakin on leaving to help Obi-Wan - nice homage to a similar scene in ESB.

My reaction to the infamous Box - mixed. Good challenges, but you'd think the participants would be acting more cut-throat, so as to speak.

Given how Obi-Wan helped him escape, you'd think Moralo Eval would be cheering for him.

I almost thought Moralo Eval wouldn't survive this episode.

I would've expected better challenges. At least for testing the skill of a bounty hunter. Obi-Wan flawlessly outsmarting and out doing everyone else pretty much took away much of the tension, or at least made it seem kinda dull.

    "It's a good hat."

Great episode. Very exciting and with a lot of suspension. Bane saving Obi-Wan was a surprise and very cool.

Awesome episode. It was filler, sure, but it was quality filler.

Cad Bane reaches new heights of awesomeness, killing the Ithorian for the hat.

The Box was really cool. Dooku seeing there was something not quite right about Rako was neat, though he dismissed it too easily.

I'm mixed on Mushroom guys design. On one end I think it's cool, but on the other I think it's dumb.

All Sep prisoners released in exchange for Palpatine?

    That just made my night.

    Eh, a filler episode.

    -"It's a nice hat" [face_laugh]
-GG is right, Obi-Wan basically doing everything made it quite anticlimactic.
-Surprises Eval lived, the minute Dooku stood behind him I thought he was done for.

Overall, a decent episode. But clearly the weakest of the arc so far.

    7/10

I suspected something like this would happen. Was he simply getting even with Hardeen for saving his life last episode, or is Bane finally starting to warm up to Rako?

I can see a new ship approaching on the horizon...

Well, I can safely say that any lack of tension I found in last week's episode was gone this week. As a person with a history of taking peril in entertainment waaay too seriously, I now have to deal with scratches in my couch from constant squeezing and a popped blood vessel from holding my breath during the dioxis scene. Man, I don't think TCW has ever felt this real!

Aside from the obvious excitement, there were tons of awsome things to love about The Box. My personal favorite: Cad Bane's hat. That line was delivered perfectly.

Was that said, or are you just assuming that's why they're kidnapping Palps?

I suspected Palp's capture would end up as a prisoner exchange. It makes sense at this juncture.

Hopefully they'll show the exchange with the Separatist Leaders being released and leaving the prison.

San Hill, Wat Tambor, and Poggle the Lesser shown hopefully.

I so wanted Moralo Eval to die, he's a bore.

Maybe he'll kill himself if he gets bored.

I noticed that we heard the MagnaGuards speak basic for the very first time ever.

Yes!!! By this point, Season 4 has nearly evened itself out with Season 2! If this can continue to be the case, then I might just stick around for Season 5 after all! :D
    Pros:
-"What? It's a nice hat."- Cad Bane saying the best line EVAR
    -Embo!!!!!!
    -Parwans are now officially cool!
-The Box was a cool idea
-The fight between Obi-wan and Eval was awesome!
-"If you gonna kill a man...do it right."- dang Bane! Coming up with all these great lines! [face_laugh]
-Bane taking his hat back from that Ithorian was pretty sick....in both a good and bad way
-The relationship between disguised Obi-wan and Bane is very interesting.

    Cons:
-Every time I see the Jedi Temple, my heart jumps! I get all fan-giddy and think "I'm gonna see minor Jedi!". Then the dream is destroyed when it's just some scene with Yoda and Anakin in the meditation chambers......not a con but it sucks....
-Not much of a con but I think it's a real shame that these episodes are about Obi-wan instead of new character. Imagine the fandom that would have been created around this seemingly cool new character.
-Dooku has become tiring. His voice has reached a new maximum of boring and his expressions on that knife-face of his are irritating.
-Yellow Magnaguards? [face_tired] Why can't they explain this already?

None of the cons I listed are a big deal. So I'll act like they didn't happen and give this episode a 10/10!!! :D

Naboo in the next episode? This better go well....

I wasn't thrilled by this. The idea was nice, but it was all a bit underwhelming. They were all way too cooperative for my tastes.

You'd think they'd want to improve their chances.

    Not bad, just filler.

Nice visuals at the end with the big Dooku face behind the fire.

Anyone else ever get the vibe from watching The Box episode that Dooku is thinking that Obi Wan is in disguise to win the game.

Nice to see a Selkath by the way and sure it has been 1000s of years since the Selkath have been seen until now. Guess they're still angry at their underwater seaweed food/healing supplie factor being ruined thanks to amnesia Darth Revan etc

I loved the little nods to Phantom Menace:
    ? Chancellor Valorum
    ? Dioxis
    ? Ray shields

I liked the indie movie The Cube, so I really enjoyed this episode.

To those criticizing the bounty hunters for not being so cutthroat, I didn't see why they had to be killing each other left and right. For one thing, some of them have a bit of honor, despite being bounty hunters. Also, it would be foolish to go after others when one should really be trying to survive themselves. Turn on another and kill them, and it just leaves you open to one of the traps or somebody killing you as they see you as somebody who might just kill them. Also, as five would win in the end, you'd end up working together on the mission. Would be foolish to try and kill everybody, just to have to work with four of them in the end. Awkward....

This episode had me at the end of my seat. You could just feel the realism of how claustrophobic and tight the spaces must have been. I'll give to to the bounty hunters, they are brave as hell for entering a contest where over half of them are guaranteed to die. I really liked Bane's lines, the alien dialects, Parwans are definitely a cool new species, and the design of the box. Graphics are amazing as usual.

Overall, I was impressed. My biggest disappointment was not having Twazzi speak once or have 'her moment' like most of the other bounty hunters. Its like she wasn't even there. I am SUPER glad however, that she was one of the ones who survived at the end. After Rumi Paramitta bit the bullet back in season 2 and Dave answered the question on SW.com, I'm assuming thats why they created Twazzi. The Frenk look really cool and its nice to see a female alien species that isn't the typical humanoid (Zabrak, Mirilian, Twi'lek, etc). Here's hoping she gets a bigger role next week as she's the only female left in the group.

My only other complaint is- WHERE IS AURRA!? We know Bossk and Boba are still in prison, so we know why they weren't there for this competition, but where the heck did Aurra go? She's the only other main Bounty Hunter featured in TCW who has no cameo. I guess Greedo is MIA too, but is he really considered big shot at this time period?

Lastly- weren't we promised Dengar in season 4? Wouldnt this be the arc he'd show up, being a bounty hunter and all? Did they scrap that idea?

Does it surprise you at all that Bane was picked as the operation leader?

I also liked how Bane was portrayed in this episode

No. But i was still surprised.
Then again, Bane knows how to execute such schemes anyway. Doesn't really seem that Moralo Eval has anything at all to back up his plan.

Personally, i think Obi-wan needs to bend the rules a little. He needs to kill - that is kinda what i was hoping he would do wo Moralo Eval here when they went one-on-one.

And that Ithorian, well, after the previous one being killed by Bane, i kinda didn't expect the other to last much longer.
Don't actually like Bane that much.

Meh... I expected The Box to be a sort of live fire arena, but it ended up being a level from Portal.
