The Clone Wars: Season 2 DVD/Blu-Ray Official Discussion

Very strange marketing, considering if someone bought that season one DVD set a year ago, why would you go ahead and buy another season one set.

 

Well, it's the same marketing that put first three Indiana Jones movies in a DVD pack just before the fourth showed up and then put all four in a DVD pack less than a year later.

Year later we'll have a pack with three seasons.

And I pretty loudly lolled when you said who three were in the Blu-ray discs, and I scrolled up to see who was the fourth in the DVD pack. Should have guessed, really.

 

I guess it's Lucasfilm's marketing.

Still, let's say if I bought one set, I wouldn't buy a whole extra.

And those three I mentioned are displayed in that box set as well.

 

Well, it's not that hard to understand. This is mainly for those who hadn't bought the season 1 set. It's way cheaper to buy this double set than buy season 1 and 2 individually.

 

That could be the case where if someone didn't want to buy the first DVD set, they could buy both of them together. Do we know the official price, though? It could vary through different stores, online, ect. Buying them individually maybe a more cheaper way of buying them, since the season one set has been out for a year.

 

Exactly, or if someone didn't bought the first season yet. It's a good option.

I only saw it on Amazon, and is still a bit cheaper than buying them individually. There's still nothing on the Star Wars Shop

 

Has anyone found the two pack on Amazon? If so, how much is it there?

 

I'll be doing the same, more excited for the blu-ray of Season 2 though. So much more to see with the widescreen.

I'm not too excited for TFUII especially with how bad the story is but the demo surprised me and well it has Star Wars in it and I'm weak.

Does anyone know when The Clone Wars Season 3 is going to be hitting our screens? Casting a blind eye over the over-zealous promotion of the series, I have to say I really enoyed the second cycle. Loved Bane, the compelling villain, but what happened to him after those first three episodes? Either way, the highlight for me had to be the Geonosis storyline...a true hommage to the sport of lightsaber duelling. Brilliant work.

 

You mean in DVD? Don't you think it's a bit too soon.

 

I was just rewatching the promo for it.. will deleted scenes only be available for Blue-ray?

This set still has the episodes in their OAR of 2.35:1? Has a new shot been reinstated in Cargo of Doom about Ahsoka?

 

I just walked into every damn store looking for this... Couldn't find it anywhere!

 

Out of curiosity, I looked in my nearby Target and Best Buy, neither of them had it. And I mean didn't have it, not sold out.

 

Best Buy did that to me last year with Season One. I pre-ordered it and even received an email saying they had it...I show up...nope, never got a shipment in the first place. This year sounds no different.
