Huh. So I guess EBG won't offer preorders yet?

I know the EBX/Gamestop stores by me aren't accepting preorders yet for the Wii or PS3, speculating that they probably won't start taking them until Sept at the earliest.

Don't forget, folks. The Wii launch list above doesn't include the games available on the Virtual Console service. Imagine that.

Also, looks like Wii will be launched ahead of the PS3, worldwide. Time to get excited for October...

Well, I got the Wii reserved, but they said the TP is still under the GCN version, but when it is announced that the GCN and Wii versions will be different, I can just change my pre-order to that.

I know, that's why I tried to reserve that one. I guess announced was the wrong word. Pretty much the guy just said that as of now they can only reserve the GCN version. He also said he heard that it was the same game, just if you have the Wii you'll be able to take advantage of the controller. I'm taking that with a grain of salt though obviously. I don't think the guy at the Gamestop in Joliet Illinois is going to have the insider scoop of what's coming out.

    Ha...yea.

I was always aware that there we two different versions. They started off saying it was the same game...but with the added "fairy" for the pointer with the Wii...I think IGN said it was two diff versions. I could be wrong though, but so could that guy. I'm betting he's wrong. :D

I've seen comparisons of the interface on the Wii and GCN for both versions of TP, aka the same scene with the GCN and Wii buttons on the side. It's the same game essentially, but the Wii has the different controller, and supposedly a couple of extra side-quests/mini-games that take advantage of the Wii, but that last bit's rumor mill only.

It'll definitely be separate releases though, but on the same day.

When I went to the Gamestop at the mall by me, they said they aren't accepting any pre-orders on Wii or PS3 until they have definite dates and shipment amounts. And they said that most likely that each store will only be getting 10 systems of each at launch since there's only going to be 4 million of each shipping worldwide. It's gonna be tougher than people realize.

10 systems for a launch seems a bit ridiculous...I think they are pulling your chain.

I'd go to a bigger store such as circuit city or best buy then and reserve one...maybe even Toys"r"us.

They look the same, except that they've been modified to plug into the wiimote so that they're wireless.

So are those just for fun or is there now supposed to be some strange way of including those in the VC?

Well, I think Nintendo will mainly be pushing the generic "VC controller" shown at E3, but these prototypes indicate there might be replica controllers as options for the hardcore.

So do you think they'll package the Wii with just the nunchuk, or actually include a GC and/or VC controller. I personally think it would be in their best interested to either include the VC controller directly, or so sell an "Online Pack" that included the VC controller, and several coupons for VC games at a discounted rate.

I'm hoping it'll include two nunchuks and wiimotes at the very least. After that I'd say one VC controller. I wouldn't expect them to include a GCN controller.

But 2 full controllers plus a VC controller with the system for 199.99 would be a very good package.

    >>Well it they plug into the Wii remote or plug into anything for that matter then they sir, are not wireless.<<

Well, you know what I mean- instead of being tied to the console itself as you normally would, the wireless nature of the wiimote would grant anything attaching to it a certain degree of wireless capabilities.

When everyone gets a Wii....what is the first game you are looking foward to downloading??

    I want Ocarina of Time.

    Just Wondering:
Is there a topic that posts everyone top ten games?...I'm curious what other people have ranked as their all time favorites.

Downloading OOT would be kind of a waste- the Zelda Collector's Edition disc is a better value. And since it's on GCN, it'll save you space for other VC titles.

Downloading Ocarina of Time would not be a waste of time...I fail to see how the collectors disc is a better value.

I'd download anything TMNT, All Mario games (Most likely SMB 3 and All Stars).

Probably StarFox 64 as well, that was awesome. Diddy Kong Racing for sure. I'm not sure what else comes to mind at the moment.

Legend of Zelda, Adventures of link, Ocarina of Time, and Majoras Mask on the same disk. I mean, if all you want is OoT, I guess it makes sense to just get it on the VC. But still, I always like having something like that on a disk. Makes me feel safer.
