Greatest cameo has to be red/gold leader... Gold Leader won the battle as far as I am concerned, by ordering the attack on the ISD "hit that opening!" Raddus should give him his own job
It's also at the base on Yavin IV. http://furiousfanboys.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/ghost-yavin-rogue-one.jpg
I think I heard the name "Mark Omega" during the file search as mentioned by Jyn. If true then likely inspired by Mark Hamill's name. Also in the beginning when was in the prison cell Jyn outside you can hear someone announce "4227" Is that a jumbled code for 1138? Although why 7 instead of 9...I don't know. MJ
Anyone else think that scout trooper helmeted Partisan might be undercover Ezra? How else are they gathering all this info on Saw?
officially released from Lucasfilm to EW http://ew.com/movies/rogue-one-rebels-references/rogue-one-and-rebels-3
It's hard for me to determine for sure, since it's a masked character, and there are other characters with coverings over their mouths, but I thought I heard an alien language being spoken by the scout trooper helmeted Partisan. His head movement seemed to coincide with alien chatter, but perhaps it was merely one of the Two Tubes. It could be Ezra, though.
Did Rogue One have any references to or cameos from The Force Awakens? I was sort of expecting to see one of the aliens from Maz's castle in the background somewhere on Jedha or something.
Yes they seem to be. Just that 4227 misses 3118 all by one digit. While why Mark Omega? It just seems odd. At least Parsec Omega would have been better. Just for a small laugh. MJ
Mark could mean mark as in variant. Like Mark 1 or Mark 2, they just used the Greek letter instead of number. Mark means a lot of things outside of a name. If that as meant to be a reference to 1138 it would have been in the correct order. They don't hide 1138 references.

Director Rian Johnson was in London prepping Star Wars Episode 8 while Rogue One was shooting, and when he visited set, they gave him a chance to have a cameo in the film. Johnson and producer Ram Bergman play the laser operators on the Death Star. Rian repaid the favor by giving Rogue One director Gareth Edwards a cameo in the eighth installment of the Skywalker saga. http://www.slashfilm.com/rogue-one-easter-eggs/2/
I picked up on Red 5, heard Mon and Organa discuss Obi-Wan and saw the Imperial probe droid my first viewing. Found the rest of them after watching an Easter Egg video.
was the officer Vader told to prepare a boarding party supposed to be the same one who spoke with him on the Tantive IV?
Nope - it's Captain Shaef Corssin, commanding officer of the Devastator, in Rogue One. He then talks to Commander Daine Jir and Commander "No name in canon yet" Praji on Tantive IV in A New Hope.
