I think I know the individual who you're speaking of who looks like Lt. Sheckil, because my first reaction was oh $@*t is that....? Thus far, though, we do not have any confirmation. Romodi is a cool treat, and not one I would have noticed on my own, had others here not pointed out. Makes me wish they could have squeezed in Tagge and Yularen, too.
I noticed: Gen. Syndulla "Karrabast!" Bail and his mentioning Leia Artoo & Threepio obviously I missed the Ghost though, bummer
Surely you mean there no Lt Sheckil in the Visual Guide? And if so, great, but that doesnt mean much at all.
Anybody catch whether gold leader was personally involved in that torpedo attack on the destroyer? Cool to see gold squadron actually being EFFECTIVE and not just getting shot up like at yavin \
Uhm, no, there has only been one droid like Chopper in the series, and that is Chopper. Although i can't make out his antenna, it is withouth a doubt a reference to Chopper in any case.
DarthBeagle wrote In the credits someone was listed as an "Alderaanian Guard" - given we didn't see anyone with Bail Organa I'm wondering if this is final confirmation that the white-bowl helmet troopers we see on the Tantive IV are indeed Alderaanian Consular Guards, rather than the uniforms for rebel troopers? I consider that overdue confirmation of a fact stated by George Lucas already in 1977 in these "Lucas Notes", i.e. Princess Leia's defenders are people from the Alderaanian Guard and not 'Rebel fleet troopers' (because if this was a Rebel uniform Vader would have had all the proof he needed at the beginning of ANH that Leia was a part of the Alliance...). Their presence at Yavin IV somehow doesn't look compatible with Leia's claim "Alderaan has no weapons", but then again and IMHO these Alderaanian Guards were merely wearing the uniform of an Imperial Senate Guard, i.e, the kind of uniform one would expect to see where Imperial senators are present to protect these from smugglers, pirates and overzealous Imperial agents, including *cough* the archeological excarvation site on Yavin IV. Rickern wrote I hope not. I've always found very complicated that Biggs would meet Luke in Tatooine, then left the planet, leave the frigate in a central system, find the rebels, join the rebellion and becoming Red Two in no longer than the two or three days (or at most a week) that took Luke to join the rebellion himself. How comes? According to the original materials the Alliance was desperately in need of good fighter pilots. According to the authentic screenplay from March 15, 1976 Biggs told Luke that his "friend has a friend on Bestine who might help us make contact" (Luke: "You could wander around forever trying to find them"). For all we know, Alliance intelligence had perhaps already investigated Biggs' motives and just made it appear more difficult getting in touch than it actually was. Preventing Imperial spies to learn the secret location of the Yavin IV base must have had top priority. I for one was relieved not to read "Biggs" in the cast credits of RO.
He is the imperial officer escorting Chewie and Leia when Lando and Lobot intervene and take him and the stormtroopers prisoner. Played by Jeremy Bulloch.
The officer who reports to Vader directly before Vader boards the rebel ship looks a lot like him. The camera even lingers on him for a moment. EDIT: sorry repeating other posts...
Stop posting screen shots from bootleg versions of the movie. That's not allowed. Here are high-res images of Chopper and The Ghost, officially released: http://furiousfanboys.com/2016/12/official-images-chopper-ghost-rogue-one/
There were quite a few of the Tatooine-style dome buildings on top of mountains and ridges on Jedha outside the city, very similar to Jabba's palace.
Thanks for that. Didn't notice the Ghost on the ground. Don't think I heard anyone talking about it either.
Yep. It was just confirmed that it is indeed Hera and not her father Cham. http://ew.com/movies/rogue-one-rebels-references/rogue-one-and-rebels-6/
Vanessa Marshall also provided a line in the movie - though she said it wasn't for Hera but just a rebel pilot, I thought she might have been joking.
Joke or not, many of the voice actors from Clone Wars/Rebels provided lines/noises/whatever in TFA. She could have been voicing Hera specifically, or a rebel pilot. Or, I also wouldn't be surprised she was just being told it was a rebel pilot, to hide that Hera was getting a subtle nod.
