Something about seeing all those people coming together at his funeral. It's totally great.

 

Ah man, I cried the first time for a loooong time at the end, but the second time I just got choked up. I think I liked it even more the second time. I need to see it again

It's good to see guys who are Ewan fans. Not that I don't think girls can be true fans- they definitely can, I'm one! They just tend to be... biased more. I guess I'm just saying it assures me when guys agree that he's a great actor because they're more objective about that. They can even admit when girls they like are crappy actresses But see, my brother is a Ewan fan and he's a big film buff too so I love that. I just sent him a copy of TS for him to watch because he hasn't seen it and wanted to badly. I can't wait to hear what he thinks.

Trainspotting, now that's a film I haven't seen in a long time. But I taped Shallow Grave when it came on, and it's a really funny movie. Ewan's cute too with long hair.

He's so cute in there, but I couldn't stand her.

I have yet to see Big Fish. I was trying to get my sis and her friend to go see it today, but we didn't end up going

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't stand her character in ALLO, I kept wishing he'd dump her somewhere...

Yeah, Cameron Diaz is kind of a ditz.

Emma is good, but Ewan looks like freaking Ronald McDonald with that wig! I prefer Sense and Sensibility.

 

I think you were supposed to think Celine was a brat in ALLO, but I thought at least by the end she should kind of have some kind of redeaming quality. But alas, she did not. I don't really know why Robert would want to be with someone like her. Typical guys

The english class some of my friends are in is watching Emma, and while it's certainly not one of my favourite Ewan movies (that wig! ahhhhh!), I was still angry that I didn't get to watch a Ewan movie in school I mean, at least he sings.

That being said, we often convince my French teacher to let us listen to the MR soundtracks as background music when we take tests. She thinks it's not good 'test' music because it could be distracting, but we insist She used to have a cool MR poster in the room, too, but it hasn't been in there in a while. Pity. I'd really like to snatch it

I've seen about everything that Ewan has been in..just call me a nerd..lol. I just saw Big Fish..it was great. Very funny.

 

In all honesty, I love Jane Austen but so far, Emma is my LEAST favorite-I can never make it through the book, even though I loved the takeoff, Clueless. (Yes, I'm aware of what Ewan said about it. Screw that!)

Seriously, if you're looking to get into Austen, my favorite is Sense and Sensibility. I've read it twice and I love the movie! Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman are two of my favorite actors!

Perhaps Ewan could have played Edward. All I know is that Hugh Grant sucked. He walked around like he had left the hanger in his coat.

 

Oh! Brassed off! Derr! I've seen that too. Forgot that one.

Here to wishing luck that Big Fish wins something tonight, even if its only the Golden globes.

 

i LOVED Big Fish! Ewan did such a good job! I love how he smiles and says "daffodils".. it's so cute!

I did hear about that too. Roger Moore endorsed him to be the next James Bond. I am a huge James Bond Fan but if Ewan plays 007...[face_drools]

 

It's still really hard for me to picture Ewan as James Bond. But then again, he does look really good in a suit. But it'll have to be a different accent. No one can be Sean Connery's Bond.

Well, I'm sure you've all heard how Big Fish was snubbed by the Academy (except for Best Score or something). So I'll feel free to root for ROTK with a clear conscience, knowing I'm not snubbing Ewan. (HA!)


Although they snubbed LOTR too. No actors got nominations-Sean Astin should have, or maybe Andy Serkis or Sir Ian McKellen as BSA, and I really think that Viggo Mortenson and/or Elijiah Wood should have gotten BA nodds.

The Academy sucks.

 

On a happier note:

Ewan McGregor is to take part in a laser-gun fight for charity after a businessman paid £25,000 for the game.

But it is unclear who his opponants will be. I hope kids, I'd love to see him face off against kids.

What acting awards has Ewan won? I've sometimes wondered if he might get snubbed by Hollywood awards because of the presence of a certain part of his anatomy in some of his work.
