Ryze followed along with Trrff. Most likely unaware of why they were slightly deviating from their course.

"Do they welcome outsiders?" he'd asked, making what Trrff had learned was unscrewing and swigging noises of some fluid from a container taken from his backpack. Another item of the mental calculus of what this being was and had was being tallied with every noise adding more.

Still that was not the focus, the smell of metal he was following and whatever it was he was listening and feeling for with every broadfooted step was his focus. "Yes? At most they might ask you to leave or help you reach another planet. Jedi are generally accepting. These more so, they accepted me when others have rejected me." He paused as he contemplated that statement before adding as he picked up the pace a little, "I am considered slow."

    Sy Isky
    Gardens

"Easy for you to say old man." Sy said to his comments of abusing power. "All I've ever know is Jedi and force, it would be like cutting off my arm. You're asking me to cut myself off from something I've had all my life." He was just defending himself and his actions. It was knee jerk overreaction. "If It tried? I have been doing nothing but trying and every time I've failed. I've tried everything." Then just like every time, Master Karn cuts off path he offers another one. Even if it was clear he didn't want to. Sy had a way out, though the old man couldn't help but drop another helpful bit of wisdom. Letting out a long breath, it seemed the old man still had some faith in the failure. The former apprentice wasn't given the chance to reply.

"Oh, who isn't hunting me now." Sy said to the droid, "Went and got myself noticed for some not so clean activities. A lot of choices catching up with me."

    The Waterfall

Tanee was left alone there now and only the faithful Dede was beeping happily around her.

    DeDe

Then his sounds became dim as did the calming rush of the waterfall. The force filled her mind and everything else felt fading and distant. She felt Elysa above, felt the fish, the water and far away the echoes of the academy itself. She also felt something else. Some absence of existence. As if something was hidden from her. Then she heard the voice again.

"She knows nothing, yet she is right about your so called choice." Canos voice whispered to her through the force. "If you think they will leave you a choice in the end you know nothing about the Jedi, Tanee." His voice seemed angry now. Angry at the Jedi. "I will give you a choice. A true choice. I offer you to see what they try to keep away from you. Do you want to ... see?" The last word he spelled it so slowly it was obvious he meant truly seeing and not feeling ...

Approaching the Jedi Enclave at the Southern Perimeter

Trrff and Ryze made their way towards the academy and now getting close to the large fence protecting it from any unwelcome wildlife visitors. They heard the voices of two Jedi talking. Varik and the newcomer Akeem were there discussing a damage at the fence, close enough to be heard and too far away for the words to be understood.

Ryze saw the damage and he knew any creature out here and none was tall enough or strong enough to rip that hole into what looked like a pretty solid defense fence.

Trrff finally found the source of the smell. It was a small metal object hovering nearby and obviously watching the two Jedi who had not seen it. It was silent. Almost impossible this silence was accidental, this thing was made for spying.

    The Garden, Jedi Enclave

Master Kran walked away slowly, letting ProXe do the further interview. He approved by simply not interfering. After all those years the droid knew him well enough to understand.

He was following his own thoughts as his comm beeped with a message by Eren who had responded directly to him.

    CAN DO. ARE YOU ALRIGHT?

She was concerned. Of course she was. In all those years he had never asked for help. Kran had not left the planet once and the Jedi Apprentices usually were provided transport by the Jedi Order.

    NOT SURE. TAKING PRECAUTIONS.

He answered truthful to her request and reached out to find the boy with the ill mother.

He recognized the alert send to him and speed up his steps. He was probably running out of time.

As the Master walked away Sy had a strange feeling from him. As if he did not tell him everything. As if Master Kran tried to hide something he was afraid Sy would specifically feel.

ProXe had to face a number of frustrations internally.

Master Douren had an aide answer that the Master was caught up in affairs that needed his full attention right now. He would contact Master Kran as soon as possible. Douren was a former Council member and influential Jedi Master within the order. ProXe had also recognized a certain tension between him and the Master that probably originated from the past disobedience of Kran. Nevertheless not answering an urgent request was by Jedi standards almost an insult.

More disturbing were the two droids dispatched by ProXe. They found nothing. That was generally a good sign. But the droids never found nothing. They would need to at least find a dozen lifeforms they would label harmless. The planet was full of them. So this either meant for some reason there were no lifeforms near the Southern Perimeter or the Droids malfunctioned. Two droids malfunctioning the same time again could only mean something was wrong with the standard update they received in the morning that had added Akeem to their roster.

ProXe tried to call up the update, but his memory of it seemed not intact. Another glitch. They were becoming more regular now.

    Kira Romar and Janis Callisto
    Jedi Enclave, Garden

Janis followed her and looked around in the beautiful garden. It was so different from his homeworld. A true paradise.

"So what now?" He asked and turned to Kira. She stepped behind him and put her hands on his shoulders. He tried not to get distracted by that. She was beautiful. He had tried to ignore it, but that was hard when she touched him.

"Close your eyes." Kira said in a soft voice and he did as she said. Kira felt her touch making him anxious and indeed if she had not followed an instinct within her that wanted to touch him. Attraction was a weakness she fought constantly. The Boy was so strong. So dedicated to who he loved. Wiping the thought from her memory she began to try what her Master had done with her so many years ago when she was a little girl.

"I want you to clear your mind completely. Allow no thought to claim your attention and breathe. Just breathe. In and out. In and out again. Do you feel it?"

Janis did as he was told. It was hard to clear his mind. He was worried about his mother. He was anxious about being here. He was a little afraid of the future.

"Take your time." Kira said from behind and he wondered if it was her ability to read him. Probably. He felt uncomfortable with that too. He breathed in and out, trying to sink into the process of breathing. Finally his thoughts faded into the background and he felt ... something.

"What is that?" He asked. It was like an ocean of perceptions, impossible to read in their entirety.

"That is the force. A living energy field connecting all things. You. Me. Every flower, rock and tree. Every planet and living thing in the universe. The Jedi serve the force. They also can tap into it and use it if they want." Kira smiled at his sensation.

"It feels ... limitless." Janis gasped and the thought of it was caused his concentration to break. He returned to the mundane reality of existence.

"It is. If you learn how to use it, you feel it's presence constantly. That takes years of training though." Kira wondered if she lured him into his apprenticeship. Of course she did. Because he was strong in the force or because she felt attracted? A difficult question. Maybe both.

"I could learn to tap into it?" Janis asked. He could not imagine it. This felt like magic. Real and powerful magic he had never dared to dream about.

"How quickly you connected to it shows you are strong in the force. I am pretty sure you could become very good at it." Kira smiled.

Then she felt Master Kran approaching and suddenly the thought if she had overstepped rushed into her mind. She was an apprentice. Was she even allowed to show these things to a candidate?

Curiosity washed over Arek as Li stepped forward and congratulated him for his promotion. He may have interpreted it as yet another congenial gesture – the same sort of thing the others have afforded him...except the Force was abuzz with a peculiar spark. It was hard to decipher its meaning with everything else going on at the moment, but it was still enough to bring a shy smile to his features.

A light scoff escaped his lips as he crossed his hands over his chest and adopted a casual stance. “Thanks, Li,” he drawled slowly, his gaze wavering slightly to avoid making eye contact. He recognized this as another nervous response he had developed over the years. Or was he simply that terrible at accepting compliments?

It really could be quite annoying sometimes…

“I appreciate that,” Arek continued with a nod. “And hey, just think – you probably won’t be too far behind me. I can tell you have the Master's eye.”

There was a tug at Li as he acknowledged the desire of the others to get going.

But, he wanted to say... something.

Arek seemed curious, cautious, guarded, all the things that made any positive interaction with him... precious, it could be said.

    Li felt his cheeks warm.

“And hey, just think – you probably won’t be too far behind me. I can tell you have the Master's eye.”

"Um, yeah," Li said, at a loss for words. "Just... we'll stay in touch, right? I'd like that, if your Master is agreeable to that." Li brightened slightly. "We can write to each other, share our adventures and arrange to meetup in exotic locations across the galaxy."

A grin touched his lips, and Li reached out and squeezed Arek’s lower arm. Not his shoulder, in a comradely manner, and not his hand, in an overly familiar manner, which could be too forward, but in, he realised without realising, way which could be construed in either manner.

In whatever manner Arek wanted to.

Li met his eyes as he did so, and he thought to himself, in a very open manner.

I'd like to get to know you more outside of these walls.

Then he broke the moment, a softer smile to his face. "Sound good?"

Li half turned, probing the others locations. "I'll need to go soon."

Master Kran felt Kira and the boy and he felt how the boy touched the force. He adjusted quickly to it. He already was more attuned of the flows of the force than he probably realized himself.

Leaving Sy and ProXe alone he approached the little clearing and wiped away Kira's anxiety with a smile. The force was no secret aracane knowledge. Spreading awareness of it was not a privilege of Jedi Masters.

"Janis, sorry for the rather short introduction earlier and the sudden inclusion into my lesson. Your answer was most enlightening. I understand your mother brought you head to be tested if you shall be trained in the Jedi arts, correct? Well, let us have a walk then. Kira, feel free to join us." Master Kran made an inviting gesture. He felt fear in the boy. Not fear of him, but the fear of loosing his mother. Janis was afraid to be accepted.

"Kira showed you the force already. I assume this all is a bit overwhelming for you."

    Pro-XE
    Troubled garden

A series of semi-casual photoreceptor blinks informed Master Kran that his intentions were understood by the droid. When he spoke again, Pro-XE’s tone would be amiable and inviting, conveying genuine concern.

[Please, sir. Would you prefer I address you as Sy?] The droid inquired, before proceeding.

[If you would like to help the Enclave and the young ones present, informing us on any number of those coming after you would be greatly appreciated. Having some idea of what to expect would be ideal and fair, since you are seeking asylum here, don’t you think? Of course, you could withhold that information to yourself and leave us at a disadvantage, if that is your intent.]

Pro-XE shrugged his shoulders like a human would to convey a recognizable sentiment.

Meanwhile, the droid ran several hundred internal self-diagnostics (once again), as he attempted to find any source of data-corruption inside his systems which prevented him from receiving basic security confirmation reports. The stream of security data at the South Perimeter Location was cascading with ‘not confirmed’ queries and ‘no data’ results, which was simply impossible.

In essence, he could not take action, because he could not determine if an action was actually required.

What’s more, there were increasing gaps in his processed ‘history’. Another glitch had occurred without triggering a single internal alert. Performing a Full Reboot would not only take too long, but could also mean the loss of critical programs if he attempted it while the glitch existed somewhere within his system. Copying or Cloning his program to a less sophisticated system would not solve the existing problem either.

According to his deductions, by the time a recognizable alert was triggered, it would be too late. Too much data would already be compromised. Therefore, he was left with one choice. That was to do everything he could to secure Master Kran’s Enclave while he still had time. At least his mission parameters remained unchanged, as well as his behavior algorithms. He needed to safeguard those at all costs.

[Also, do let me know if you prefer I adopt a more ‘human’ appearance, if it so pleases you.]

This wasn’t an unusual entreaty. During his time interacting with humans and other organics, Pro-XE found that some reacted more favorably when visibly dealing with a familiar looking subject. Perhaps the same was true for Sy.

Jedi Master Do Sal-Kran, Kira Romar and Janis Callisto
    Jedi Enclave, Garden

Silently Kira followed the two men trying not to distract either of them. Janis gave Master Kran a smile, as he identified the experience as overwhelming.

"Well, thank you for seeing me, Master. The inclusion into your lesson was highly appreciated. I mean, it impressed me you were even interested in it." Janis smiled. "Yes, I want to become a Jedi!"

Master Kran looked at him and then nodded, smiling back. It was one of the fake courtesy smiles he sometimes used for outsiders. Kira felt this was not a good sign.

"Do you?" Master Kran asked and eyed him. "Why?" He asked then and folded his hands behind his back.

"I ... actually my mother is very ill and she wants me to join." Janis looked at Kira and then back to Master Kran.

"I understand. So what do you want to do? What would be your vision for your future boy." Kran asked.

"Well, be with my mother for as long as possible and then probably earn enough to build my own droid shop. I am good with droids." Janis smiled and then realized he was probably not helping his case. Master Kran gave him a reassuring nod.

"You are a droid technician? Maybe you can have a look at mine. He seems to have malfunctions." Master Kran smiled and took a turn.

    "Sure." Janis said.

"I would reimburse your mothers costs for the trip in exchange." Master Kran said and they were now approaching the main enclave with the metal bridge leading to its

"That is a bit too generous." Janis smiled. He appreciated the gesture, but he was not taking gifts. They would always take care of themselves.

"Is it? If you do not help out I need to fly in a tech or flight ProXe out. So I got transport costs anyway. By hiring you I spare myself the fees. Considering how cheap your transport looks maybe even a little on top. Sounds to me like a good deal for both of us." Master Kran explained. Kira expected Eren Light would do it for free. So he had probably tricked Janis into accepting some charity. In his kindness he was often surprisingly sneaky.

"Sounds about right. Deal!" Janis smiled and they walked along a little before he sighed.

"If I ask you an honest question, will you answer honestly, Master?" Janis finally asked.

    "Always." Kran replied.

"I botched it, did I? You won't accept me, right?" Janis asked. Kira watched him, afraid to disappoint his mother. She knew it the second the Master arranged this little deal to reimburse for the flight.

"No, I won't accept you. But you botched nothing Janis. There are just certain rules and the truth is, you are too old to begin your training." Master Kran looked at him. "I wished the order would communicate the necessary entry standards a little more clearly. Jedi Training begins when our apprentices are children. I am sorry." Master Kran looked a the boy and if Kira felt this mix of disappointment and relief he would too.

"I understand. I am pretty sure my Mum did not know that. She won't like it." Janis sighed.

"I will explain to her personally. What is her name?" Master Kran asked.

"Zari. Zari Callisto." Janis said and nodded in appreciation. Master Kran did not show any feeling, yet in the force he could not fully hide his surprise.

"Callisto. What a rare name." He just said, then he offered the boy his hand for a firm handshake. Janis accepted.

"May the force be with you, Janis Callisto." Master Kran smiled and Janis felt he was now done.

"Thank you, Master. I loved seeing your Academy and I will have a look at the droid before I leave." He nodded and walked away back to the garden.

Kira stayed with her Master, looking after the boy. She hoped he would not leave without saying goodbye. The decision by her Master surprised her.

"Speak your mind, Kira." Master Kran said and turned to her.

Kira lowered her gaze. "He is strong in the force, stronger than any untrained I ever met. Isn't it dangerous not to give him guidance?" She finally looked up. "Especially with what Silo felt."

Master Kran looked after the boy. "You believe Jedi are immune to the Dark Side? Most of the Jedi's greatest enemies were former members." He said. "Despite ... he has other plans. I hope he gets this droid shop up and running. We will buy all our droids there." Master Kran smiled. He closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them again. "I feel unrest. Varik and Akeem are concerned about something. Please join them at the southern perimeter and then report to me." He nodded to her.

"Certainly Master." Kira turned to fulfill her duties.

"Kira? He won't." Master Kran said then. Kira turned and blushed a little. "Leave without saying goodbye. He is pretty fond of you, too."

"Thanks." She quickly made her way to the Southern Perimeter but he thoughts remained with Janis, who loved his mother so much and was so brave to face the tragedy awaiting him.

Master Kran turned away and walked back to the Jedi Enclave. He had to talk to Zari Callisto.

    Waterfall

Elysa sighed as she felt Tanee reach into the force and almost vanish from it. This was an impressive feat, but she felt that climbing down and ask how she did it would not be welcome.

She pushed any thought about it away and began climbing down again. With DeDe the girl would find home alone. She reached out into the force and probed it for the presence of Silo. The boy was usually by himself, but maybe if she learned more about the vision she would understand the task given by her Master better.

As she made her way down the path to the garden she considered for the hundredth time to talk to Master Kran about her doubts. She was sure he was aware of them on some level already. She had never bonded with him like the others, but he was a powerful and intuitive Jedi Master.

She found Silo sitting on a field of grass, looking at the horizon. "Hey Youngling." She greeted him teasing him in a friendly way. "So you are our Seer now. Did Master Kran ever tell you about the Jedi Seers? Powerful in predicting the future and gaining insights into the past many ended up in the council." She said and sat next to him.

Silo gave Elysa an annoyed smile as she called him youngling.

"One vision does not make me a Seer I suppose." He said and laughed. "But I must confess the vision was extraordinary. It felt so clear, so real. I felt that ship and I felt this cold ... presence. I think now it was a presence reaching out to the ship. There was an element of surprise." Silo shook his head. "Nothing now. I tried to repeat this, but all I got was the pure presence of the boy and the angered soul of the other man. I believe he was trained as a Jedi, too." Silo smiled. "I can feel that. As if my awareness is suddenly boosted or ... better attuned." He gave her a shy smile. "Does that make any sense?"

Zari Callisto was awake feeling better than in a long time. Some unknown strength had returned to her fragile body she had almost forgotten. Sitting in the bed she smiled at the Jedi Master as he entered.

"Hello Do." She said and he gave her something his students almost never saw, a genuine smile. A relic from days long past he was remembered as he saw the illness ridden body of Zari Callisto.

"Hello Zari. I did not know it was you. I would have welcomed you personally." He said and stepped to her bed.

"I know. I wondered if should come along at all, but it would probably be my last hours with Janis. I did not wanted to miss them." Zari sighed, smiling weakly.

"I won't train him, Zari. He is to old, he is not Jedi material." Kran sighed. "But what a bright and impressive young man you raised there." Kran gave her a sad smile.

"Don't you think you owe it to him?" Zari asked. Kran shook his head.

"Training him against his will? Imprisoning him in an order he don't want to be part of? That would not work, Zari. Trust me. The boy is too strong willed." Kran sighed. "Like his father." He said then. "It is his boy, isn't he?"

Zari looked down and nodded. "He is." She said. "Yes, there is a lot of his father inside of him." She looked at Master Kran. "Then maybe I should send him to Tython?"

Do Sal-Kran shook his head. "You cannot force destiny, Zari. Trust me, Janis is not meant to be a Jedi."

Zari nodded. "But what will become of him when I am gone?" She asked desperately.

"He will become a man and a good man from what I see." Kran replied. "Trust in the boy. He deserves your trust."

    Zari smiled and nodded.

"Now close your eyes, Zari. I want to give you something." He said and she did as she was asked. Kran smiled and channeling all his compassion and friendship he reached into the force and transferred some of his strength to his dying friend.

    Trrff

Approaching the Jedi Enclave at the Southern Perimeter

Trrff and Ryze made their way towards the academy and now getting close to the large fence protecting it from any unwelcome wildlife visitors. A fence Trrff knew well as to avoid, only now he could hear the voices of two Jedi talking. Varik and the newcomer Akeem were there discussing a damage at the fence, close enough to be heard and just too far away for the words to be understood. To many other sounds overlapped and blended with their own, plus it was rude to eavesdrop so he made no effort to sort it out. The fact that the sound and air was flowing so freely meant though that was an opening. . .right about. . .there. Where there should not be an opening.

Contemplating the smell he had noted earlier and had been following Trrff finally was able to pinpoint the source of the smell. It was a small metal object hovering nearby, now something hovering and making little noise, which based off the profile was pointed toward the Jedi (that or facing into the forest which Trrff could neither smell nor hear anything worthy of note to be staying stationary and staring at). So it was most likely watching the two Jedi who had most likely not seen it. It was nearly, almost impossible, so this silence was not accidental, this thing was made for spying.

Holding up a hand he waved at Ryze to look to the wall and then to where he smelled the thing. Whispering from his strands closet to the other. "Unfamiliar metal. Spy? You might of arrived at interesting times." He simply stated.

    Tanee Bolyn
    The Waterfall

Tanee was alone. She had walked a little distance away from the waterfall, listening to the flow of the water as she worked on the conflicting feelings she was now having. Even then, she became aware as the happy sounds of DeDe faded, as the calming rush of the waterfall. The force filled her mind and everything else felt fading and distant. She felt Elysa above, felt the fish, the water and even the distance the echoes of the academy itself. She wished she could feel it that strong all the time. Then she felt IT. The void. The absence of existence.

    Was it Canos?

She half-turned, even as the voice reached her. "She knows nothing, yet she is right about your so-called choice." Canos voice whispered to her through the force. "If you think they will leave you a choice in the end you know nothing about the Jedi, Tanee."

Tanee gripped her staff a bit now. Canos sounded angry? Perhaps even bitter. Did he have a reason? But his words. They echoed loudly in her mind now. She listened as he continued. "I will give you a choice. A true choice. I offer you to see what they try to keep away from you. Do you want to ... S..E..E..?"

The way he said the word see. Tanee inhaled softy. This was possibly a trap. But to what end? And the doctors had told her that she could regain her sight. But still..

Tanee turned her head towards the waterfall.

"Yes." Tanee replied softly. "I wish to see what has been hidden."

    The Waterfall

Tanee suddenly felt a surge in the force so powerful it felt almost painful and then ...

... she saw! Not with her eyes, but through the force. It was sight nevertheless. Shapes, movement, details. No colors, but a clear picture of her surrounding. It was not the Jedi Enclave she saw though. This was another place she knew. The Jedi Temple on Kamparas. The training facility she was first initiated at. She held a lightsaber that hummed in her hand and around her dark shades of armored soldiers swarmed the place looking for survivors. In front of her she saw a young man in the floor. A familiar face. She would never forget it ... this boy had blinded her. "Tanee, no. Please don't do this ..." The boy said and crawled backwards away with his left hand. His other still lay nearby, severed from his body and still holding his lightsaber.

"I am not Tanee anymore." She heard her own voice say, but it was different. It sounded confident and powerful. "I am Legion!" She hissed and raised her blade.

"You saw one version of the future, child. A future that could be yours ... a future in which you can see again and a future in which you will finally have a choice ." Canos whispered into her mind. "Tonight you also have a choice to make. Do you want to die trying to adjust to your state of being or do you want to claim your destiny and ... heal." His voice was so present in the force it seemed to fill her mind completely.

    Janis Callisto
    The Jedi Enclave

Janis was still in thoughts, as he basically stumbled over Sy and the mysterious droid.

"Hey." He sadly said and gave Sy a smile. "I hope at least you got what you came for." He said and then turned to the droid.

"Droid, your Master hired me to do a check-up on you. I need to find some diagnostic tools, but I would like to begin later tonight and run a full external scan over night." He did not ask, droid never questioned their Masters orders.

"What is the nature of your malfunction?" He asked directly.

    Pro-XE
    Jedi Enclave

    [Greetings, young Callisto.]

Pro-XE half-turned his head to meet the newcomer. He understood that Sy was being evasive, but perhaps it was unintentional, as humans under stress exhibited such behavior. Still, he required more detailed information to pre-empt the Enclave’s security against 'probable' threats.

[Until the time I receive confirmation from Master Kran, you will do no such thing.] He intoned amicably, then added: [ And please, call me Pro-XE young Callisto, everyone does.]

Though he still expected Sy to afford him with some information, the droid half turned his boy to regard both humans.

[I’d also have to review your credentials before allowing you access to my systems, even if I am experiencing erratic memory glitches.]

Pro-XE allowed a small pause before continuing.

[How are you liking the Enclave so far?] He asked Janis conversationally.

Unbeknownst to most, Pro-XE was quite skillful at having conversations with multiple sentients at once without losing track at all. In the meantime, he also resent the security request for the two drones to scout the South Perimeter once again, since the previous query was inconclusive.

    Tanee Bolyn
    Lost at the waterfall

Tanee gasped hard, as she suddenly felt overwhelmed within the Force. It was like nothing she had ever felt before. It was so.. she had no words. It simply came over her in a wave, threatening to crush her. Then the images. She had almost forgotten to breathe. The Jedi Temple on Kamparas. The student who blinded her. But it was different. He was on the floor, and his hand lay on the floor, his lightsaber clutched in the lone hand. He was begging her. And there were bodies all around them. And then she saw herself. And another gasp came forth. And her eyes grew big when she finally recognized her voice.

"I am not Tanee anymore." She heard her own voice say, but it was different. It sounded confident and powerful. "I am Legion!" She hissed.

The vision faded as she heard Canos's voice spoke to her again.

To see, so clearly. To be able to tap into the force so...so fully. The name kinda sucked. And the look of fear on the stupid veck's face. It was almost worth it. But wait. she had to choose by tonight. She
definitely remembering hearing the words.. 'DO you want to DIE?'

Suddenly, Tanee felt as if she couldn't breathe. She didn't want to kill people. Not even the fool that attacked her. But to be so powerful. And to see even more clearly than she could now. But that meant she would have to turn away from her training. Or would it? Tanee suddenly felt as if the entire planet was sitting on her chest. Dangling the promise of sight to a blind person, was a great temptation to be sure. And for her, even more so. But this was soo much more than simple sight. The way he melted in and out of the Force. But he stated it was just one version of the future. Claim her destiny. Her promise.

Too many possibilities. The Force swirled around her. She didn't want to die. Or kill. She didn't want to be blind.

    She didn't....
    she didn't...

    She coudlnt...

    ....Could she?

She inhaled sharply, squeezing her eyes tightly for a moment. She then relaxed.

    "Until tonight then."

Tanee turned and looked out over the water. She wanted to run, to scream, to curse. And maybe she would, later. But right now, she needed to figure out what she truly wanted.

    And soon.

    Janis Callisto
    The Jedi Enclave

Janis eyed the droid as it responded. A heightened sense of importance for an advanced service machine. That could hint indeed at an not wiped memory core. He might have developed a little too much of a personality.

"Droid will be just fine, no reason to get too personal. And you will obey your Master. Unconditionally. If anybody sees credentials it is him." Janis eyed him and recognized he talked about memory glitches. Data management problems maybe?

Anyway, he ignored the rest of the questions, as he did not plan to start a conversation with a machine programmed to be polite.

"Shall we walk a little?" He asked Sy for a more private conversation.

    The Waterfall

Tanee now felt the power of Canos as he finally revealed himself to her in the force. It was a cold and deadly presence, bristling with a strange power. There was anger. There was confidence. Canos radiated a sense of confidence. Then she felt the pain of his anger surge into her mind. "Stupid blind girl. Did you just try to turn your back on something that is only in your mind?" Canos voice was amused now as an invisible hand seemed to squeeze her skull until she was on her knees.

"It will begin soon. There is nothing you can do about it." The voice said. "But if you want to choose healing and power you must safe another one. Janis. Bring him and his mother to the ship and you shall leave. If you choose death just ... do whatever you think is best to try and avoid the inevitable." Canos seemed to fade now. "Good luck."

Then he was gone and nothing remained of his presence. DeDe peeped and seemed not to have seen a thing. It was probably all just in her head.

    Pro-XE
    Jedi Enclave

    [Please, excuse me.]

Pro-XE turned and began to make his way towards the Southern Perimeter, making sure to update his files and evaluations on the two non-jedi in their midst. Sy's reticence and apparent unwillingness to offer data concerning possible threats to the Enclave underscored that he only continued to be problematic and his presence increased the Enclave’s risk of engaging in unprovoked conflicts by default.

Janis presented a possible problem of a more subtle kind. Pro-XE’s behavioral algorithm’s already detected dissociative and utilitarian norms often found in the less savory Imperial denizens of the past Era. A trait that by its very nature fomented rebellions. It was quite likely a defense mechanism preemptively adopted as protection against the inevitable death of the boy's mother. Still, it was an observation worthy of note. In due time, dispassionate views of 'inorganics' translated into 'justified cruelty' towards fellow organics.

With that analysis made, reaching the Southern Perimeter took precedence, for it seemed the droid would have to take security matters into his own hands.

    Elysa Tarn
    Waterfall

Elysa gave the words of Silo some thought. A presence he had said, someone not something. Elysa reached into the force, but felt nothing out of the ordinary.

"If it comes to get this poor boy, we need to defend him. We are Jedi. We fight the darkness." She mused more to herself.

"Silo, you should not be alone out here. Find the others and stay with them." She said and got up quickly.

Making her way to the Jedi Enclave she put on her gloves and quickly made her way up to the quarters. She reached out with the force before she reached it and it smashed open. Out of it, freeing itself from the cloth she had hidden it in, her lightsaber jumped into her hand. The weapon of her Master, found in an alley with no sign of him. It was all she had left from him and tonight it would be protection.

She ignited it and looked at the purple blade for a second. Then she smiled and deactivated it, hanging it to her belt.

Jedi Enclave, Master Do Sal-Kran's quarters, Main Building

Having talked to Zari and her son had been the last sign of the force he required. Certainty replaced the gnawing doubt that had build the last hours. He was practiced of keeping such things from his students. A Master had to have control what his Apprentices perceived or he could not effectively train them. Yet, Silos vision and Janis appearance could hardly be a coincidence. None of this could be a coincidence. The force had guided all those elements to Elyseum and that Master Kran felt no presence or danger only confirmed to him there was one. Those wise in the Jedi ways could learn to hide their traces from their peers. Yet, in hiding they left a vacuum. The moment Silo had felt darkness he had began wondering why he did not feel it. The only answer he could come up with was also the one he had feared most.

Someone was hiding these things from him.

The Apprentices were in danger. He considered evacuating them at once, but such a move might easily have been anticipated. Yet his attempt to contact Master Douren had failed. Reinforcements from the nearest Jedi Temple were therefore coming too late. If the Jedi Master ever returned his call. Too long they had lived in peace. While the Jedi of old would have understood the word urgency for the current order nothing was ever urgent.

"ProXe, please report to my quarters right away." Kran said to the droid, probably ripping him from an important conversation. With the events at the southern perimeter still unclear he was not knowing how long he had left before the time to fight came.

He had to inform the Jedi Council. Even if they did not believe him, they had to be warned.

The intent of the mysterious intruders was terribly obvious. Kran needed not sense them in the force to deduce their desire. There were no treasures on Elyseum. No ancient scrolls or holocrons resided here. Nothing of greater value had ever been allowed in the Jedi Enclave. The only thing the intruders could be after were the Apprentices and him.

Master Kran remembered his Elysa Tarn's master had vanished. The Jedi Council never found a trace or body of him. It had happened in the Free Systems. Was something spreading from the outer worlds? Many were ancient Sith strongholds.

Master Kran knelt to the ground at the center of the room and closed his eyes as he waited for ProXe. He gave himself to the force and probed it not for what was there, but what had been veiled. Maybe he could identify the technique of the hidden forces.

It might confirm if his worst fear had come true. Had he returned?

    Kira Romar
    Jedi Enclave Garden

Kira made her way to the southern perimeter, but she took her time. Chasing some smart animal that managed to enter the enclave was not that attractive and Janis and Master Kran were still on her mind. Something so much more important than the Jedi Order you did not wanted to join it ... she thought everyone wanted to be a Jedi. Suddenly Kira wondered if such attachment was as evil as the Jedi considered it. Did it not make Janis stronger?

She stopped and looked around in the enclave. What did really await her beyond the beauty of this place? A life in discipline and loneliness. Adventures and dangers and eventually violence. One day she could come back here and train Jedi, but between that day and now? What was she doing?

    You doubt, stupid.

Kira was smart enough to know why she doubted her life. She had met a young man today who did not need a lightsaber to be brave and loved passionately and yet he had something they all had given up. Janis was free.

Speeding up she finally made it to the Southern Perimeter and looked around. Varik and Akeem seemed to observe a whole in the fence and next to her the security droids swirled around.

She felt something else though. Trrff was approaching. His signature was rather special. With him was ... Kira did not know the presence. Immediately she was alarmed. She ducked behind a tree and decided to watch the whole situation for now.

    Pro-XE
    Jedi Enclave, Master Kran's quarters

The notification to meet Master Kran in his quarters was of High Priority, and Pro-XE did and instant about-face and changed course, no longer heading towards the South Perimeter.

He did persist that the security drones continue their search, however. The remaining drones needed to remain on stand-by and ready to be deployed as needed. This droid was not ‘fond’ of what humans would call ‘mysteries’. Every event had a cause and every question an answer; well at least according to his programming. The issue surrounding South Perimeter was a shinning example of a 'mystery' he was compelled to resolve.

Thankfully, the protocols to enter Master Kran’s quarters were still functioning within acceptable parameters, which he noted. Internally, he was also tracking the students within and around the Enclave, especially after the first alert. It was imperative that he report anything that was considered 'suspicious' to the Master.

[“I’ve come as you requested, Master Kran.”] Pro-XE intoned as calmly as ever.

His photoreceptors noticed the Master was in kneeling position at the center of his room, which normally signified he was getting ready for something.

    [“How may I assist you?”]

    He asked conversationally.
