I just read that the James Luceno Darth Plagueis Novel has been Canecelled. Dissapointing, I thought this would be our first Glimpse into PALPATINE'S PAST... and I have always liked how Luceno Dealt with the Charector of PALPATINE.
WHAT?!?! There was a novel about Darth Plagueis and I didn't even hear about it. And now it's cancelled. did he post it on StarWars.com somewhere?

I don't like Ian McKellan he did Lord of the Rings and X-men. 2 movie series that compete with Star Wars for the box office record.
X2 did not compete with any of the Star Wars films. And thats a pretty crazy reason to not like a good actor.
First time I saw LOTR-Fellowship I though McKellan was Patrick Stewart in awesome makeup. They do 'sound' alike!!! I was totally bummed when I found out it was "Ian The Lesser." Seriously, both Ians are UK national treasures. But I'm quite partial to the wicked McDiarmid, who created a dominating character with his screen presence and penchant for capably exuding all things evil!
Born Aug 11, '44. So if my 'higher' math is right, Ian was 53 when TPM started to film in '97, and 59 when ROTS started to film in '03 (60 when the London pickups were done).
McDiarmid. His Palpatine and Sidious performance is fantastic! I have this bias on Star Wars actors over all others
Per that line of thinking, here are some well publicized Ian Quotes on the PT that drive that very point home: "But George was very interesting when we started The Phantom Menace: he told me I should think of my eyes as Palpatine's contact lenses, which was a great thing to say to an actor." "I suppose it's easy to play a hypocritical politician with a smiling face; it's also quite gratifying to play." "For me it's even more interesting, because my character comes out of the shadow. It's a chance to really act emotionally, because the situation is an extreme one." "But Palpatine, of course, is a performance. It's a mask. Although it's my face in front of this terrible monster that is revealed in his horrible glory, as he would see it, in this movie. So I mean, how exciting can it get for an actor?" "I didn't know how evil he was going to be - I knew he was going to be pretty evil - until I got the script. And I also didn?t know that he would have fighting skills, which I had to acquire fairly quickly. I imagined that his power was in his fingers and in his head. Little did I know that he was the fastest lightsaberist in the universe." "It only slowly dawned on me that if Vader was really the worst creature, the most evil, the darkest, the blackest villain in movie history, I was worse than him. And I?m still slowly coming to terms with that, actually. I think my relationship with Satan is closer than I ever imagined it to be - as a character I hasten to add.? "I'm the blackest villain of all time."
You can find that quote embedded HERE, 4th question down! Some of the others came from THIS INTERVIEW.
