Name: Ensign Assassin Four, formerly Phantom Nine, Ylenia Xanathe Temiria deCrion. I'm fairly sure that Ylenia derives from Ylen, the Ancient Telosian goddess of war. Xanathe is the equivalent of a patronymic, the feminine version of my grandfather's name. Temiria is my mother's name. As for deCrion, my illustrious grandsire would appear to have had multiple surnames. I picked the commonest one to take as my own - my elder brother chose a different one.

Just for the record--we have three authors using this same OC in different versions of the SW universe, and I thought it would be kind of interesting to have all three of us fill out this form independently, just to see how different/similar the versions ended up. I asked Leona's permission before trying this--my goal isn't to spam the thread with infinite posts about the same character. (If she *is* the same character!)

Ish's version is so concise . . . at one point I wrote that Kemé never could quite seem to shut up. Apparently, *I'm* the one who can't quite seem to shut up.

Home Story: Well . . . I was introduced some six years ago now in a story called ?The First Four Days,? but I?ve been quite a lot of other places since then. I?m afraid my author tends to use me as a foil for canon characters, so she hasn?t written a story just for me yet. Others have, but in ophelia?s universe, my truest self is mostly in her head.

Sex: Female

Favorite Color: That?s an interesting question . . . I?ve always been surprised that most people can answer it very quickly, with something like ?blue? or ?red??as if the colors themselves held beauty! In truth, what we enjoy is not color, but the quality of light. Something that looks lovely beneath the light of a yellow star may look dreadful in the light of a red one. For that matter, how do you like the color of your favorite blue shirt when you're standing in the dark?

I enjoy many types of light?-the clear, bright light of a yellow star just after it rises, the flickering amber light of oil lanterns in the darkness, even the endless white-and-red burn of speeder traffic above the Jedi Temple at night. In such conditions, many colors are beautiful.

Now, my Padawan brother will tell you this is nonsense, and that I?m simply distracted by anything shiny. That is not true, and you can tell him I said so. I believe he also claims his favorite color is blue. Blue indeed . . . as if any such single color existed!

Favorite Smell: Ah, now this one is easier. My favorite smell is rain?especially rain in a forest or over a pond. Rain itself has a sweet, almost mineral smell. It?s much like snow that way, but unlike snow, rain releases the scent of everything it touches, particularly the complex green smells of resinous trees and pungent herbs. You can cease to see the harmony of the forest if you spend too much time looking at it, but you can never miss the interwoven *rightness* of its smell.

Chocolate or Roses? I was not familiar with chocolate until my author introduced me to it for this survey. It is indeed very good?-especially melted unsweetened chocolate with spices in it, drunk out of a warmed tea bowl. Ophelia tells me no one normal ingests it that way, but where I?m from, no one ingests it at all, so she can hardly blame *me* if she thinks I'm odd.

Actually, I've had enough chocolate now that I really am beginning to feel quite strange. My author says it?s the caffeine in it. Doesn?t matter?-chocolate's good anyway. Better than roses, though? Ohh . . . a Jedi must always choose living things over basically selfish, solitary pleasures, but I wish I could take chocolate back to my own universe. Well, maybe it's for the best I can't . . . suddenly I've got an urge to ignite my lightsaber just to sit and look at it. That would probably be a bad idea.

Pepsi or Coke? Ophelia has had me try both of them, and I found them equally appalling. Nothing but heaps of grain sugar dissolved in black acid. Better for cleaning the corrosion off chemical-state power cells, if you ask me.

Now I?ve had quite a bit more caffeine than I?m used to, and can?t quite seem to stop pacing about. I think I?m going to need to go home and lie down.
